We Caught a MASSIVE MARLIN while FISHING in Cabo San Lucas

After 2 weeks of remote sailing, coming into Cabo San Lucas was overwhelming to say the least. But with a few days to kill while we wait for our next crew, we took advantage of an opportunity to go fishing for Marlin on a friend's boat who happens to be in town.

Absolutely loved this guys!!! (Finally catching up to your vlogs 🤣). The water looks amazing there!! Love the dolphins - that never gets old. Wish we saw more of them up here! We just got a proper reboarding ladder for Aribel a couple months ago - glad you made perfect use of the “reboarding monitor” 😉

Next time you jump in, do not forget the ladder!, there was a movie made about a couple who drowned because of that mistake. Cheers

Another beautiful and interesting episode. I thought your drone shots have always been pretty good. That looked more like marlin catching vs fishing. Are there so many in those waters that they normally catch multiples when they go out? And finally, I expect this episode will cause you to always remember the swim ladder from now on.😉

Thank you so much Ron. Tyler’s typically the drone guy and definitely won’t be fired any time soon! Mox inspired us to get a new drone after this so hopefully we can get some better shots now too. Yes the Marlin are super abundant there so the sport fisherman can catch a few a day. Haha definitely will never make that mistake again!

Oh hello, the ladder! I need to change my ladder so it can be deployed from the water, right n9w it's tied up at tye top rail, lol that would be bummer looking up at my cool knot from the water, yikes

Theres a great movie where they forgot to put down a ladder, I forgot the name but It made me think to always have a way back on board. Of course the water belongs to the fish I stay on board they stay in the water!
