A Lot of PPL would have put that FISH on their wall. But huge fish like that are what keeps fish Stocked in Watering hole! Good Deed Cole! Congratulations 🎉😊❤
Wow now that’s an awesome striper. The only thing better is how you were able to land that beast with that light tackle and line. This stripers fight hard and especially in that current. I really enjoy the videos. Thanks for sharing.
Man!! What a catch!!! Happy for you!! Went to the river yesterday and caught 20 white bass. Kept a few. Water was moving too fast to get on crappie. But had a blast. Thanks for what you do!!!
That must qualify for some kind of stare record for a 25+lb fish on 6 lb test line I would think!!! You've gotten everything well documented so maybe you should check it out!!! They say patience is a virtue and boy did you have a lot of patience landing that hog!!! Well done!!!
Thought that might be you! I was watching from the park on the west side. The beard, mannerisms, and cameras was a clue. I’ve lived here all my life (69 years) and caught many fish below Lock 1. Congrats on the big stripper! Next time you are here try the restaurant sitting on top the east bank above the generator.
Congratulations that feeling never gets old im just a catfisherman and i still get giddy when i realize i have a huge fish on again congratulations on a great catch
Congrats Cole I love that spillway the monsters there are crazy especially catching that 25+ lb. stripper on a D2 jig my favorite jig that I use all the time now from Leland Lures.
That’s an awesome catch. I’ve tried and tried to catch the spring striper run at that spot but always missed out. Now I live in NWA and it’s impossible now to go
They get caught that size often here under a dam. My pb is 27lbs. I caught mine on a homemade topwater with a mh fast rod and a abu garcia 5500c3 ambassador. That was a crazy 45min fight so i can imagine that was crazy on 6lb line and a ml spinning setup 😂
I take my hat off to you. 25# fish on 6# line. It would have broke me off as soon as it bit, had that been me. I don't impress easily, but that was impressive.
We have those size strippers at my local lake that the big town that it is by gets all there drinking water from and for the past year it keeps going down in water level!!! They are definitely a very smart fish I have found out!!! If I’m in my boat I think they know because of the motor on my boat and they will not bite what so ever!! I have even tried using my trolling motor as little as possible and they just some how no and will not bite at all!!! The only way I have found to be able to catch them is using my kayak and paddle as hard as I can and troll for them and they will bite or once in a while I will catch them in a feeding frenzy eating things off of the top of the water and I can throw in a popper and they will bite for just a little bit!! When they do bite they are definitely really big ones for sure!!!
This dink never says where he fishes. He wants you to pay attention to him in his little flip flops rather than enjoying these spots for yourself. Not a real Southern boy. We help each other out. BTW, @PearsonPeebles try Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas. There's bigger Striper in there than this one. Up there, 18-25 lbs is average.
He never says where he fishes. He'd rather have you pay attention to him in his flip flops than for you to go out and enjoy places in Arkansas on your own. Real Southern boys would tell you where the fish are because we understand there's plenty for everyone.
