You should have a bag with different prompts (ex: toe hook, face the crowd start, hand jam, etc) and have him have to pull one before each build

Give Nikken more time, but chose really awkward holds. Like jugs on a slab and target 7b+. Or slopy crimps on 60° wall 6c. I think he might have some cool creative ideas.

If Nikken is blind to the holds and then has 10 minutes to set a route, then once Nikken begins setting you guys should turn around. Then when Nikkens 10 minutes are up, you guys turn around and have 10 minutes to send! Route setters vs climbers!!

Can confirm, this boulder was an absolute banger! Can't believe it was only set in 10 minutes. It was so intricate and delicate to climb that I was sure it would need a lot of tweaking to get right. Great video!

I live in Stockholm and have been climbing like about 2-3 months, absolutly love it obviously. I know this gym isn’t in Stockholm but I keep like a tiny ammount of hope up when I go that I’ll get to meet these guys even though I know it won’t happen

so correct me if I'm wrong, but setting a hold consists of just straight up placing it anywhere and drilling a screw into the wall? i always assumed they tried to line it up with existing holes, wouldn't this ruin the wall eventually?

I would love to see the same volumes but make the red piece central to the puzzle, using the others to edge around it. I think that would be awesome. Also what sort of rating do you think this ended up?

You should get someone who is not into climbing to place the holds, then see if it's climbable.

It took me lot of effort to click on this video. I wasn't convinced by the thumbnail nor the title. Clicked out of boredom. Didn't expect a routsetting challenge! That is 1000 times better than a normal bouldering challenge! Do more and specify when it involves routesetting!

Nikken is a setting genius! this could be a new sport. speed setting. 4 setters all the get the same 10 holds and get 10 minutes to set them. you then have any number of climbers attempt the four climbs like in a competition and the scoring is based on how much separation you can create between the climbers just like in a competition. so if everyone sends your set or if no one sends your set, you get 0 points for the round. you ideally want a distribution of how many climbers can who top out, zone, or don't get past the 2nd move. something like that.

I need the super-like option for this one! Amazing route, Nikken!
