What are your thoughts on these new curses behind a paywall? That being said, I'm loving these Famous Pirate Cosmetics I apologize about the cut. Did this in one take, and its been a very long week
I noticed a lot of the items seem to be based on old myths and legends. The Goldspinner wheel is a reference to Rumpelstiltskin, the headless horseman is a reference to The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, the wishbone hat and jacket seem sorta like Dr. Faciliar voodoo vibes, and the iron maiden can also be associated with it, for it is a common trope in medieval dungeons. The gorgon set also goes with this because of Greek Mythology and Perseus. Just something I noticed
i like the idea of putting curses in the plunder pass,yes they have always been free but at the end of the day it's just a cosmetic,it doesnt take away from the effort it takes to earn the ones that take alot of skill,and for collecters,they are buying the premium pass anyway for the set collection,and it's quite literaly a tenner,not that big of a deal and it's a smart move by rare
For a game where your cosmetics are meant to tell your pirates story, having a curse (one of the most lore-oriented types of cosmetics) to be behind a paywall is insane, skelle curse you fight for the Servants climbing through the ranks to become a warrior of the Flame allowing you to go through the ritual of the flame, the coral curse you have to discover all of the secrets of the sirens through their shrines & treasuries, compared to the now stone curse where pirates just have to type in their credit card details… that’s it, that’s the story behind them which is mad, for sure very disappointing to see rare go in this direction🤝
I really don't think it's that big of a deal for these 2 curses to be behind a paywall. It doesn't take from the value of curses, it just means that these 2 in particular don't mean anything special
Honestly, making the pass take longer to finish wouldn't be a bad thing imo. Gives people more of a reason to play longer when it can't be finished in a day.
This season seems allot slower then all the others, stacking world events with my crew and doimg stuff in between but i’m getting fuck all renown no matter what we do.
@@wintoli3430 Then I really do not think it is "behind a paywall" as the premium plunder pass has always included cosmetics. Or I guess I do not see the need to mention the curses specifically, or in a way that makes it seem like Rare is doing something greedy/shady. Plus, the curses are not very good and you can get way better ones for free just by playing the game.
@@Magic1eafit is behind a paywall you have to pay it is scummy it’s a curse from the lore people have wanted for a minute and there immediately putting it in the emporium after this season while the last curse which is a free 1 the PL curse we had to wait forever for
I wouldn't wish this on ya at all, but.... the new commendations... if brave enough it may make for a hell of a video. Again, wouldn't wish this on anyone (especially considering the one where you have to turn in 200 horns of fair wind... currently my goal), but would make for a good vid maybe? Thankfully, renown so far isn't so bad. Just a shame the plunder pass is rather lackluster. Glad the normal pass is alright for the most part compared.
@@netherwarrior6113 That... is... insane~ Hell, even the ancients sails were only at 50 ancient chests from vaults, wasn't it? Maybe in the future we will see this decline, or maybe the farming videos already showed how to get a large number rather quickly. x.x
honestly hate that the stone curse is paywalled because i don't like that they're moving in that direction and hopefully after this season we can get it like the gold curse maybe put it in for a shores of gold tall tale reward because i want it and right now i'm broke for old coins.
I know this might sound weird but for me I’m happy if they did reduce the renown you get as I found it way too easy to level up on the first day of the season I played for 2 hours and got to level 20
But the full curse is level 90 even with the pl curse from s1 was a rank 100 reward for pl only. You need about the same amount of time and for 10 dollars of in game currency that you earn back throughout the pass
I read the title and I was like there’s no way you killed 250 sharks and everything else then the video was about only the pass and I was like ok good cuz I just did the sharks last night and it took 6 hours in the shrine of hungering not fun at all
