As many mythical beasts have already said, I literally don't know what I would've done in my teenage years if I hadn't found you guys. I remember being 16 and in one of the darkest depressive episodes of my life so far (I know lol) and just how much you helped me; I didn't even know more than 30 words in english back then. You literally taught me how to speak english, how to be a good friend, a good partner, the value of mythicality and how to be my mythical best. I love you guys so so so much!

Big fan of the video games idea. I’d LOVE to see content of Rhett immersing himself in a video game. I’d suggest something first person POV that is also super accessible and popular, like Minecraft or Skyrim

tbh, I think Rhett streaming would be pretty awesome. Not all streaming content on something like Twitch is gaming. I could see Rhett doing a good r/aita react court. I would definitely watch either way!

yes, and I'd also like to see a stream each for Rhett and Link, that they plan completely themself, based on what they personally thing is interesting and makes a good stream. Staff would still work on any research needed for the segments, setting them up, that sort of thing, but the schedule and topics/activities for an hour or two long stream would be designed by Rhett/Link without professional input. So Rhett could talk about wood for a half hour, aliens for a half hour, and do reactions for the final hour, or Link could do his full two hours on how he thinks you should shower- it would be totally up to them. I just think it would be neat to see what they'd do if left to their own devices.

@@anilite_ not at all! Its made by "lifeway" and is marketed as a prebiotic yogurt drink. But its kefir. Here its usually flavored with fruit. So wish I could send a link of what im talking about but its kefir. Its in a bottle, says kefir, fermented and not in a little tub like yogurt. At my store it comes as strawberry, blueberry, peach and unsweetened...peach is my favorite Edit: probioctic *

@@kayh9090 interesting, haven't seen a flavored kefir where I'm from, just drinkable flavored yogurt. Though if I remember correctly the difference between the two is only in bacteria used to ferment it and the different level of tanginess as a result. Either way - both delicious

Ghost writers have also been continuing/expanding series for years. The Oz books aren't all written by L Frank Baum, for example- Pirates in Oz was written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, and that was in 1931 (I had to look that up, but I knew my copy was published in the 60s), and that certainly isn't the first work with such treatment (even if we ignore the "religious works like paradise lost are just bible fanfiction" point that some people love). Sanctioned expansion on fictional worlds has been around a long time, and non-sanctioned ones have been around even longer.

It's interesting to hear about the thing that Rhett was talking about with regards to people interacting with stories becoming more normalized, but the idea of something regulating fanfiction so that it stays consistent is not it for me. Different writers are gonna come away from the same story with different interpretations, and I think that would limit people's creativity. I personally like that it's a free for all where people can either write stuff that's very well-researched & meticulously planned to adhere to the rules of the original fictional universe, but also that there can be insane balls to the wall nonsense (referred to as crackfic) where people are just going nuts & having fun with it. Both sides of the spectrum and everything in between are important and have a place. The most important thing is people being inspired to create.

I still love Mario but nowadays it's on my Switch and always makes me feel like a kid again it's such a nostalgic thing for me and puts a big smile on my face 😊 Don't get me wrong some newer stuff is great, I do own an Xbox but nothing does it for me quite like Nintendo 😁

Yea, Grog's Revenge was the kinda game that was around when I was a teenager. It was fun, and I've played other games since, but I'm definitely not a "gamer" and never have been. I'm definitely a reader though. I would never survived high school without being able to escape into other worlds like that. Edit to add: I'm 45.

I had a product like the one Rhett described when I was younger, it blocks sweat from the places you put it. Once a week was enough for me when I used it, I worked as a waiter a hot summer and didn't want the forehead sweats so I put it there and I noticed I sweated a lot less overall. The psychological effect of knowing you're not going to sweat made me sweat less everywhere else! It was like anxiety pills for my skin!

Pretty funny to hear Links reaction to Rhett eating cereal with kefir, where has here in Sweden, I would say eating cereal with milk is what's considered weird. It's more common to eat with either yoghurt or fil (which is pretty similar to kefir). Milk is way too thin, it's like eating cereal with water.

re: caffeine- at age 7 or 8 my mom would let me have a treat of my favorite salt n vinegar chips and PEPSI at like 7/8pm on a Thursday or Wednesday while watching new Home Improvement. Then I couldnt fall asleep at 10/11pm and she gave me benadryl to knock me out 🙃
