Well that's what you do in L4D and considering this is supposed to be a spiritual successor in almost every way, it could be forgiven for thinking the shooting would be the same too.
@@SynthLizard8 Pretty sure this is a "spiritual successor" in the same way Path of Exile is a "spiritual successor" to Diablo 2. IE it's what the developers wanted it to be and they were told they couldn't.
Once again, Daimyō Sips and his retainers, the Hat boiks, are living the Hagakure in this game: “No matter if the enemy has thousands of men, there is fulfillment in simply standing them off and being determined to cut them all down, starting from one end.” I won't rest until Sips turns Jersey into his own Shogunate.
You could just HEAR the contemplation about their bragging from the previous vids about how good they were when they realised they were actually playing easy mode the entire time
It really is and with the card system you can be nearly any archerotype you want aswell as letting you have cards ready just incase you get bad rng on corruption cards, just as a little tidbit that double barrel shotgun mom spawns with can have unlimited ammo aswell as it's reload being instant and laser accurate if you wanted, hell 8 grenades if you wanted, why not a card that makes you heal 100% of what you heal to allies, how about one that card makes any special take upto 50% more damage 1% per bullet and that included the ogre, trauma got you down? 75% trauma resistance with just a few cards. Anything you want it's yours my friend if you've got the time to grind it.
I believe, dont quote me, but I think the birds are infected? So thats why they call in the hordes. Edit: that would also contextualise why nothing else alerts hordes. They could spin it as they don't care about sounds such as explosions, gunfire etc but as soon as a bunch of infected birds spot them, who could act as their eyes, it calls in the horde. Again id like to point out im completely spitballing and talking out my arse but thats how I've looked at it when I played.
It's just a different trigger to the same "alert the horde" game mechanic that's present in these games like Left4Dead could they've thought of something better? yeah, for sure, but still pretty much nothing that they put in these games (like Car alarms) will make sense when, like Smith said, you consider there's gunfire, grenades and bombs going off that don't trigger it. Edit: yeah, there might be "lore" behind it like "birds are infected, that's why it happens" but still, it's just another game mechanic device
I feel the problem with the whole "birds are infected so they call the horde while other sounds don't" argument is that car alarms call them too. I doubt the cars are infected but hey, if the devs want the cars to be zombies, I guess they're zombies.
Oh poor smithy I feel the pain in his voice, I can’t hide my annoyance in my voice either. Sips can be a pain. Whereas Trott and Ross can hide it by laughing it off and changing subject, this is why they work so well together. They know when Smith is annoyed.
Time it took the hat bois to say something gross: 2 minutes and 3 seconds. The average time currently is: 1 minute and 58 seconds. I will do this on every video as long as my smooth brain doesn't forget.
The birds in hunt give away ur position to other players just like gunfire would. Seems like b4b saw that mechanic and were like yea! Makes no sense in a singleplayer
They all are. They're all shooting each other in the back, strafing in front of each other. Smith throwing a pipe bomb the second they walk into the safe room. Sips shooting Trott in the safe room. Everyone using melee and sprinting so they never have enough stamina to actually use the weapon. Fucking excellent boiks gameplay.
Hmm, I like the card system, lots of variation there and weapons customisation. It also looks really good, but honestly, I think world war z is better with their zombies, the horde mechanics in that is insane, and the levels are on average more interesting to play though. Not that this game is bad! It'll definitely have an audience, myself included eventually too, but I feel WWZ just has that manic apocalyptic zombie coop shooter feel better.
The writing for most of the characters I've seen so far is absolutely god-awful, in the 'so bad it's not even funny bad' kind of way. Here's hoping there's an option to mute/disable it completely; banter between characters has always been enjoyable for me, even the cheesiest or most cliché stuff has some joy to be had, but this is so painfully forced and borderline memey that it kills it... Worst of all is, you can tell the writers think they're hot shit and oh so funny and self-aware, but they're even worse than the bottom-of-the-barrel 80's B movie dialogue they're trying to reference, and the more contemporary references also clash and make it feel out of place. It's all wrapped up in that American paramilitary fantasy BS too, I guess they're trying to appeal to the 'tacticool makes me drool' crowd while seeming "relevant" at the same time.
Theres no point to trying higher difficulties. The only real difference is the number of special infected. Everyones video on the hardest difficulty is just constant special spam. I believe someone counted 40 special on their screen at once. They have no idea how to actually increase difficulty. Still fun to watch you guys try to rock it out though.
The difficulty isn't just bullet sponges it's meant to make you think about what to do and build better decks to deal with situations. You can solo kill plenty of infected with the right cards. Hell you can make builds with melee that can one hit specials with a fire axe if you're not just sprinting around like a maniac and using all your stamina on everything BUT melee. You are not meant to play the hardest difficulty with the basic cards.
@@loglog7 Yes im sure that was the intention and when you can buy those ultimate cards(lets face truth here cause thats whats gonna end up happening) then maybe itll work. I just dont see how any cards help your team eat through a constant stream of screen fulls of special infected, which is where it is at the hardest difficulty atm.
funniest thing about people who advocate for pineapple on pizza is the look on their face when you reply with "my favourite is anchovies and pineapple pizza"
i don't understand the hype behind this game. It just looks like a left 4 dead clone, but not as good as the original :/ Graphics aren't even an improvement over Left 4 Dead 2.
I thought that too when I first saw it but fuck is it fun to play. There is a lot more depth to the gameplay and more progression. You need to think about ammo types, attachments, what the infected cards are, etc. I love that kind of game, I always found left4dead boring.
