Titan Fall 2 is so underrated. This game is so sick, I love playing it. And Insane is hard depending on which map u play it on. There are certain maps like Harvest I think it's called, that big grass field and that futuristic map. That are just impossible to play on at times because of the openings, Rise is a perfect 3 lane map.
Thank you for this Dino!!! I was waiting for this! Tip: If your playing northstar on rise ALWAYS run Piercing shots, because your core gain will go up like crazy
this is a really old video. check out some of my more recent uploads to see frontier defense speedruns. we can perfect insane this map on duo and i can solo it on insane :)
Tip for anyone who runs T-Bolt on FD Use speedloader (faster reload time) and gun ready (get shots off nearly instantly). You don't need extra ammo because you never run out of ammo :) Edit: Yes, your AT can run out of ammo on Insane
While you CAN run out, there's no reason to run extra ammo anyway. Outside of the 1st wave, you have MORE than enough grenade and AT ammo to get your titan back (unless you're THAT bad at Titanfall, which begs the question "WHY PLAY INSANE OR MASTER??"). Another good tip: Don't every try to land your shots. T-Bolt works so well because it's projectiles have an area attack effect when flying. Thus, if you can make the shot not hit anything, you can deal SERIOUS damage with only a few shots if fighting a few enemy titans. Have it be amped and you'll have a fresh new titan ready after no more than 2 shots. Couple it with E-smoke grenades and you'll be melting even nuke titans!
Thank you. Hopefully there are some good people when I get online. By the way I find myself using piercing shot more than double tether traps in frontier defense. Do you feel one of those options is always better than the other or that its totally map dependent?
I've been using this video to create a strategy for when me and my friends attempt this for the hundredth time. Thank you! One question, where do you place your turrets?
Commenting before watching this. Pro tip, shoot friendly Legion shields for Redirect Aegis upgrade to give them shields. Friendly fire DOES count. Although I'm sure that doesn't matter on insane difficulty. ALSO, you can switch pistol out for a grunts R201 or LMG. Also Do tether traps despawn, similar to MP tether traps?
It's fun to go back to this video. After all the insane things discovered like how broken Ronin is and whatnot, it's nice to see you clwar an FD insane map without him. A great blast from the past
Rise is the best map because there are no mortar Titans because everything is heading right towards the harvester witch is helpful when u don’t see the map
Pierce does fairly well but if youre picking northstar unless for purely fun then you're typically choosing her for tethers to halt arc titans. Piercing is rather situational and isnt usually worth being the chosen kit due to the consistency of double tethers. If you want piercing damage then legion can provide that by default. But if you're going for meta team comps you'd simply run 1-3 ronins and 1-2 scorches for optimal completion time. :)
Aggressive positioning rather than camping the harvester is the main thing. Learning spawns and coordination is key. Ronin and scorch are in a league of there own for FD then Ion is decent. Everyone else is kinda meh. I suggest you check out some of the FD speedruns I've posted. There's also a few solo insane runs that were done glitchless
Mahmoud Basyoni thanks sorry about your teammates. Insane on Kodai is soloable. You can practice solo or duo on Forward Base Kodai when you don't have reliable teammates :)
@#soundwave here's the world record for my glitchless solo insane run on forward base kodai in under 26 minutes 😋 . I don't need the glitches to do well. They're simply more efficient for the speedruns. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lTscZkEbHE4.html
@#soundwave also, even though i uses glitchless in many of my speedruns there is still a lot of merit to my solo and group speedruns. A lot of planning, routing, and strategizing goes into making the runs as efficient as possible to get the times that we do :) . otherwise you'd see more people who've solo'd most of the maps... Invisibility or otherwise 😋
