🚨(Update 08 Feb)🚨 These earbuds sound much better after the update. See the new frequency response graph and conclusion here: www.dhrme.nl/we-did-not-expect-this-earfun-air-pro-3-review/
@@jkmani just got mine. So far multipoint works well for me. Eq + adjusting my Zenfone to suit means they sound better than expected. My wife has had hers for a few months and seems fine!
You guys absolutely ROCK! I always laugh at some point during your reviews, but today I was laughing at the last 20 seconds of the video...classic!!! Thanks for the review.
I recently got this and I like it. Sound is fine but nothing phenomenal. ANC works well, ambient mode is really good (it feels light and almost as if it is barely present). I didn't find any problem in connecting and using across two devices. In fact I am pleasantly surprised by how good it is doing in that regard. Battery life is great (specially it seems so after switching from OnePlus earbuds). The case design though looks somewhat cheap for its price range. Overall a 8/10. Audiophiles may be slightly disappointed on the bass front but taking into consideration the functionalities and battery it is a pretty good earbud.
I got the earbuds yesterday. I knew that I 100% had to eq these earbuds and fiddle a lot with different ear tips to get the sound I want. Yeah you are right, the game mode does open up the sound for a bit. And with that i didn’t see any connectivity issues and in fact can walk quite far away from the source. It would be much better if they had 10 band eq. 6 band is a little bit limited. The default tuning is shocking and the bass and treble has to be dialled all the way down.
Getting too confused seeing multiple reviews. Absolute scarcity of quality buds in India. Started researching the ones not available here. I want to import one via a friend flying in next week. Can you suggest me one for the following priorities (basically looking for an all rounder): 1. Budget: 40-90$ 2. Sound signature. Balanced with great instrument separation. Not too bass heavy like the cheap Chinese ones flooding the Indian market. Music pref: Indian classical, blues, yesteryear solos. Podcasts, Movie viewing. 3. Excellent enc call quality is a must. Living in a noisy road facing apartment. I intend to attend a lot of teams calls, mobile calls. 4. ANC - moderate will do 5. Dual device pairing / switching option. Will keep switching between office laptop and phone. I would prefer a long tap to fast switch to last paired device kind of option rather than parallel dual connection. But both are manageable. 6. Battery life: 7+/32+ 7. Comfort for long usage. 8. App support. EQ options. Dolby Atmos support preferably. Various models of Soundcore, Edifier, Earfun, lypertek and others. Please suggest the top 3 to choose from. Namaste
Hi, i purchased the Air 3 pro couple of days ago and i am facing a very wierd issue. Whenever the anc is on and i am talking, i can hear crackling sounds in the earphones. Did i end up getting a faulty device.
I get it now. When you can get 9-million-dollar buds to review, reviewing buds that cost pocket lint it's hard to be magnanimous. Just kidding. Anyway, it's been about a day with 'em and I think these will turn heads. The ANC on these is amazing and especially with voices. When I turned it on while listening to your video, I could not hear your review. ba dum, bum! Again, I'm kidding. I haven't had the dropouts you've had. Did you do the update? Anyway, thanks for the review. And I didn't log in. Thanks for that tip. I'm using EQ + 2-5-3-4 7-9. What EQ setting are you using?
How do these compare to the Donner DoBuds which are cheaper and I think possibly the best in class sound and fit for less than the air pro 3. Saw another few reviewers rate those as #1 under $100, so curious your findings with these.
Just from look of it I feel like they're not going to fit me well. It looks very similar to the Liberty Air 2 pro. My experience with this sort of curved, rounded stem shape is that it always feels like it's not secure enough. I like the stems that are more like JLab epic air ANC, which has a more sharp angle and gets inserted a little deeper.
Just updated my ear fun pro 3 to firmware 0.5.1. Some nice improvements including find my, wind noise (haven't tried it), nicer eq controls, disable all controls, and a few other options (I hadn't done an update before and hadn't used the EQ. With a V, n and s shaped these are better for different uses than the default EQ. There are other claimed improvements to audio quality and more
Dookie Hot Real Majestic Earbuds... Can yall please review the Status 3ANC? I really like these and would be interested to hear yall's thoughts. They have a unique form factor as well.
I ordered these and the liberty 4. Sent the liberty 4 back because no matter what I did they sounded distant and harsh. EarFun air pro 3 I kept. I prefer them after the firmware that reduced that colossal bass but I'm glad I heard that out of the box sound because now I know what they're capable of. Bass was intense but they handled it tho
Previously used liberty aor 2,it got dead as of now. Do you have any opinion between this and buds 2 pro? Btw i am using samsung s23 ultra..is it better invest in the samsung eco system or try out this '3rd party' earbuds..thanks
Earbuds can sound awesome, serve you dinnner but if you have to disconnect them to connect to another device it's worth nothing. So many buds just fail at this and fast connect is not multipoint. This is how I ended up with my Huawei Freebuds Pro 2.
@@DHRME it's a really important factor that is missed in so many reviews. Great job as usual guys... I'm assuming u have your oneplus buds Pro 2 already....?
It was interesting to hear a bit of Dutch in your review. It sounds similar to Danish (where I came from). It was a nice idea to include a cleaning tool, I do use that. It is also important to clean the charging contacts, because the buds can get fooled and fail to disconnect and start charging 😊. I have been looking for great microphones, because I know a few people with hearing loss and anything I can do to help them is a bonus.
GOT MINE FOR $55.00 ON AMAZON USA. I'm very happy with them. Thank you for your great review. Only issue, so far us the fit of the left earpiece on my left ear. Not comfortable so far as my right ear!. Greetings from California.
Very good review on the buds I like the stem ones I have a lot of ear buds the market is getting so good and the price is great as well nice one guys 😎🇮🇪👏
I already have the Live Pro2's so I'm good there. I like using the EQ to enhance the sound not to fix it strange I've always liked the way they tune their earbuds out of the box. It's time for me to check out some multiple driver earbuds maybe Liberty 4s? Thank you for the review you guys are awesome. 💯👍🇺🇸 And yes I'm going to watch your review of the Liberty 4s. 🎯
The JBL live Pro 2 are a great option. It has a smaller case. It has great bass and a great app. Great connectivity and great price. I like it almost as good as my apple pro 2
Good review: very thorough. I have gotten excellent warranty support in North America. I love that their warranty period is 18 months when even places like Sony cut their warranty period to 12.
Love your reviews! Shame the call quality isn't better. I ordered them then cancelled because of that. Though I bought a G11-s for £15 and the sound, IPX 6, comfort, tiny case are amazing for the price!! (and only 3g per bud). However, after trying numerous options I went for the AirPods Pro 2 (I use android as well as ios but am moving my main sim to ios). It's not just the audio, anc, comfort, features, transparency, call quality but also I'm amazed at the integration with other apple devices. It would be ackles witch craft a few hundred years ago! (so would phones for that matter). It's great having a huge range of options.
@@rolins3279 tried the JBL, not enough detail and a bit lacking on calls. And the decider was they couldn't cope with sharp screeching on the London underground. The Soundcore liberty 4 isn't available here, though I've tried previous ones. Luckily it's easy to try and send back! I was impressed by the Sony link bud S for comfort. I was hesitant about spending out on the AirPods Pro 2 (though others I considered like the Sennheiser Momentum tw3 are around the same price and the BEO EX quite a bit more). However, now I've got the AirPods Pro 2 I'm hanging on to them, rather than sending them back like the previous earbuds I tried. Not only do they switch seamlessly between my apple devices, they've got a great range of features and work well on my android devices. Watching TV with them was a real surprise for how good they feel and sound. The transparency mode I didn't think was that important however, I'm using it more and more. For example shopping. I don't need to faff around with putting them away and then getting them back out. These are the first Apple ear buds I've had. For listening for purely audio quality at home I use wired and as well as the audio quality I was impressed that my lightning cable (with built in dac) not only takes standard mmcx earbuds but also Sennheisers mmcx earbuds, as well as my 7hz Timeless earbuds.
Thanks for the video guys. I ordered my EarFun air pro 3 and I experienced exactly what you described. Punchy base right from the start. Great EQ to balanced out all genres. I am a big fan of base and these are perfect for me. Played Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits, and never sound so great. Thanks again.
Anyway do you have any opinion between this and buds 2 pro? Btw i am using samsung s23 ultra..is it better invest in the samsung eco system or try out this '3rd party' earbuds..thanks
This was a great review, thank you so much! Just a quick question if that’s alright with you: which codec was used for the audio recording? LC3, aptX Adaptive, or e.g. mSBC? There are definitely implications for call quality (especially w/LC3, since they might not actually use aptX Voice)
I suspect it's misleading to think of transparency as "Letting sound through". It's not like earbuds open up little doors to let sound through. What they're doing is *recreating* the sound as picked up from the microphones.
Ordered these earbuds, sound is good, app is ok. I have 2 issues 1. Mic quality is not great, on the very first day people told me as if my voice is not clear 2. There is no option to mute the microphone which would be great for teams meetings. Overall good for music bad for calls.
@@tinnimajumder6420 I did the earfun and I am pretty happy with the my choice. For my uses, and with the ear fun app., they do what I need. in Canada they are basically 1/3 the price.
Any idea, if the auto pause feature will be shipped with a later firmware update? Would have loved these but this is a no go. BTW - I really don't get it, why with literally hundreds of true wireless ear buds it seems extremely hard for every new device to cover all the basics like ANC, call quality, volume control, auto pause, multi point, lip sync, comfort etc.
Great review, and i love your t-shirts ;-) Do you live in the Netherlands like me? Question: Do you know which earbuds on the market have a feature to turn on ambient mode automatically as soon as you start talking?
Great indept review of these buds! I was a bit suprised with the dutch references. Could you explain to me what your connection is with the Netherlands?
Hello! My Earfun AP3s work great but when I do online meetings the mic cuts out after a few minutes... I can still hear okay but people can't hear me. Has anyone experienced similar or have any advice? Can't find anything online. Thank you!
Thanks for your in detaile videos on TWS... wached almost all the latest video. I am using my tws mostly at office for calls.. Please do call test with one earbud as in office most of us dont use both the buds especially for calls.. Currently i am using 1 more comfo buds pro.. and the ANC will work only when both the buds connected... Other wise it will not work... I want to know whether the latest soundepeats tws like Air 3 deluxe hs and capsule will work with one bud in ANC and also the call quality while using only with one bud.. whether the background noise is reduced while using with one bud....etc... Pls confirm if possible..
Because I appreciate your great work, and because I'm eight years old in my soul forever, I need to point out what your speakers of Japanese already know: In Japanese "fun" means excrement. So these are, (almost) needless to underline, earsh*t to many.
Ordered these a couple days ago and arrived DOA out the box. Replacement arrived, completed software update and find their dynamic sound quite interesting. Transparency mode is a huge plus. Stepped down to smaller eargels and fit a little better. Will test them some more and compare to Space A40 and W240TN this week. Thx Gentlemen for the review and comparisons!!
@thomasre9382 I ended up sending them back as the update didn't help the audio quality due to lack of EQ bands. Fit was comfortable, but could not save that sound compared to the A40 and W240TN (now retired, replaced by 1More EVO). Thx!
well for music only think one should be fine dropping to smth like roxanne or a12t, but for general pc usage i dont think anyone can, its really more than one step above my first desktop system
Love that whilest your usp for reviews seems to be humour at the surface, there is definitely something complimentative to be said about how you guys stretch the information you to display into mentioning sustainability issues, or in this case - privacy issues! - superb quality video :)
Anyway do you have any opinion between this and buds 2 pro? Btw i am using samsung s23 ultra..is it better invest in the samsung eco system or try out this '3rd party' earbuds..thanks
Hey good job guys, What do you think about the battle of EarFun Air Pro 3 vs Xiaomi Redmi Buds 4 pro?, for a hybrid user who uses MAC and Chrome systems who is avoiding paying the overpriced Airpods
Hi 👋🏽 With the update, has the quality of the microphones in phone calls, especially in noisy environments, also been improved, is it now at the level of the Earfun Air S? 🙏🏽
Got my pair of earfun pro 3 today. They're working excellently so far. After watching your video, I'm still undecided whether I'll use the app on my android phone. Thank you for this concise point-per-point review on this. This video was the decider that made me purchase my new pair.
@@bhavininath737 it's working great! I use it alternately between running (choose the best size for your ear), making phone calls and gaming. It transitions connection between my Samsung phone and Steamdeck seamlessly. Controls are simple and customizable. The ANC is very effective too. The ambient sound is useful when doing groceries. I sometimes feel like I'm kinda deaf or just not good at articulating words from conversations yet this amplifies the voices enough. Passed my board exam last year with help from this device. I also encountered a post at reddit claiming a good equalizer setting; haven't changed it ever since. 👍
@@bhavininath737 oh I thought i replied earlier. It's running great. What I fancy about it is the seamless multipoint connectivity between my phone, laptop and steam deck. ANC and ambient sound functionalities are good too. This one's a major surprise especially from this price point.
With this video, maybe i will skip these buds because i already had an Earfun Air S. Because as you said in this video, the Air S still produces better sound quality. Thanks for the very fun review. Really appreciate it.
Thanks for the review guys. Always very complete and informative. I got my new pair of Earfuns AP3 and they are so amazing. I brag about how much I pay for these.
If ANC, loudness and bass are what you're missing from the 2. The 3 ANC is way better. I have both. 3 all the way, especially if you like bass and ability to get louder. The 2 always feels 1-2 levels too low to me.
