as someone who mained volkov the entirety I played the game into diamond before I quit (lvl 86), the niches that make volkov "good" are instantly countered by slow scythe, (at least when I quit) scythe sigs just dropping because fk you I guess and lack of kill options since it's also low(ish) strength axe and scythe is well, scythe. edit: not to mention the gimp potential is SO decreased because of the speed most things that if you miss you could make it back with say a mordex with volkov you just SD and your opponent just makes it back to stage
