Nice video 👊 The fishing log books are a great idea. Me and my Dad used a crappy version of those for a few years. I found it a while ago and the memories reading through it. Seeing things like 3 Perch over 3 lbs, my Dad reeling in...a Roach and it getting nabbed by a huge Pike, catches of Bream way over the 100lbs from the River Shannon, me falling in, him getting charged at by a field full of bulls etc. We never realised the hidden value in it. Now my Dad is gone - looking back through that book and being able to relive each session is priceless. Good memories.
Ahh wow, lovely to hear you found that and re-lived those old memories, really is what life is about. It's why I wanted to make the logbooks, writing things down really helps to solidify those good times in the mind. Thanks mate :)
Absolutely LOVE finding small waterholes packed with fish! especially when you're not expecting it. one of the coolest experiences! Great video, can't wait to see what you get up to next
You always manage to post a video on the days I need something to laugh and smile about the most, and I truly appreciate that you care so much about what you do!
I bought a similar sweater from a shop that sold slightly imperfect clothing. I looked it all over and the only thing I could find wrong was that one of the sleeves was slightly longer than the other two!🤭Joking apart though those sweaters look the dog's bollocks mate, and decently made! All your vids are well made and decently entertaining, your mate is a good cameraman too, always a bonus in my opinion! I hope you and your lady have a decent year and I'm looking forward to some more decent future videos this year! Take care mate, all the best for 2024!👍👍👍👍👍
Nice one, Carl and the new jumper looks nice with the black logo, an I'm sorry to hear about the kidney stones, there not nice and i hope you are all good now. There the worst pain ever 😭 top cannel it's nice to see all the other stuff you do 😁👍🎣🎣🎣🐟🐟🐟
The Pool ..of...Plenty... Mighty!. You located on of those late year perch congregation Jack pots On big river's like ..thames the results of you are so fortunate can be astounding
Great video love the channel I have been watching for a while now and your what got me into fishing to begin with so thanks for getting me into my favourite hobby
I have seen bigger perch, but not in England. From the light river ( only a river during winter usually a series of large "DEEP" still ponds ) in South Australia north of the city of Adelaide. At times stocked with trout but not sure about perch but probable. So much easier to get at, just be aware Brown snakes hunt what lives aside the ponds but they go away quickly.
I really admire carls fishing technics its simple yet affective i followed all of he's channels 😅 unfortunately i wasn't able to buy any merch and to think my favourite fishing channel met jeremy wade my favourite fisherman growing up 🙋♂️❤️
Mr Carl Smith. I have suffered from kidney stones myself...how the heck you're managing to carry on creating such great content is testament to how tough you are. I spent most of the time curled up in a ball crying for my mother! Big up yourself Sir!
If you want to see a crazy golf course that has loads of fish I would highly recommend Fantasia in Palma Nova, Mallorca - Loads of Koi but also some really nice Commons. Just got back from Jurassic Resort in Thailand btw, you were spot on about me having the time of my life in your video from there, no Arapaima but I equalled the lake Red Tail Catfish record at 65lb, insane scrap!
had kidney stones for the past 20 years my god theres no pain like it,only thing that worked was diclofenac suppositories. Not nice but they work haha also hot water bottle on the affected side, great session buddy some cracking perch there 👍👍👍
Hope you feel better soon mate. I had accute kidney injury once and it was agony. Thanks for the video. Will be purchasing some Christmas prezzies (for myself) from the website. Take it easy!
Oh the irony, July 13th on way to work had to turn back as had worst pain Eva, went to hospital and turned out to be a big kidney stone. But then they found a shadow on my other kidney which turned out to be cancerous. Am actually in hospital now getting the kidney removed.
hi carl, great video. There is a stream near my house but ive researched and nobody has mentioned fishing on it, and i have never seen any anglers there. any advice?
Carl, as an I.T Administrator, I highly recommend picking up an M3 iMac if you can afford it, the Arm processor will highly increase your rendering ability. As for pain, I live daily in pain so I know how you feel ❤
Thanks Emma, I appreciate that. For now I've switched over to using my M1 Macbook Pro with 32gb memory with a large screen on the side and the rendering is MUCH faster. It will do until it begins to slow too, then I'll look into the M3 model for sure :)
i commented on a video a few weeks back saying 'everything passes, even kidney stones' randomly as its a massive fear of mine, to then hear you've actually been dealing with them in this video, kind of crazy!
Not to brag, but I live on an estate with a lake. Nobody knows its there. Full of monsters. Its not a fishery or anything. It's probably the best thing in my life. Free fishing 150 metres away from my house 😂 Ps. Its an old gravel pit. Even better! Not no pesky little pond
Hi Carl, I want to start getting into film making and I want to start my own fishing youtube channel. Since Im 17 and don't have a job, what cheap camera do you recommend or a gopro. Thanks
Too much, redbull, bro. I'm 25, and I've had two kidney stones it worst pain anyone can go through. the last one was so bad I had to have a urin catheter, and I can tell you it not fun. Drink plenty of water.
I’ve had 2 kidney stones aswell, seriously horrible pain. I’ve kept both of mine in a jar because I was lucky enough to pass them both lol. Both of mine was calcium stones due to far too much milk.
Ditto... Most recent was last Monday. Effing excruciating is an understatement. Drink water but NOT mineral water, it'll add to the buildup of kidney stone mass.
I had kidney stones at 27 too much pepsi and coffee. Mate the pain if unreal isn't it😢 I feel for you best thing I ever did was get into a really hot bath when the pain starts coming on made it so much easier to deal with along with all the drugs they gave me!
Mullet are the most frustrating fish to catch, they'll spend five and a half hours hanging round and ignoring you and then suddenly become catchable for half an hour
Yr great and fantastic fishing videos,,,,,how about you trying to out fish ,,,the ginger fisherman on small streams and rivers,,,,cos his approach to fishing and yrs are on the same level,,,so passionate,,, but i think he wud definitely give u a great challenge .eh.😊
Not yet mate, I needed to release a basic range (Small to XXXL) at first to see what the demand is and feedback! Lots asking for smaller kids sizes so we'll definitely order some in the next batch.
Not at all! That's a good size perch!! They don't get so big in the UK. I had to go to the Netherlands to catch a massive one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SF0-cn-y_xU.htmlfeature=shared
@@more_fishwithcarl Not the element, but it didn't appear to be less than 0.06 grams or more than 28.35 grams. I'm no angel, but then, I'm not posting my exploits on RU-vid.
The vlogs are not just about fishing unlike my main channel which is all fishing (and koi). The perch fishing is towards the end of this vlog as that's how it happened chronologically :)
This was a fun video, You've gained a subscriber! To the other guys in the comments - if You're ever confused about your catch 🤷♂ FishSight FreshWater identifies the fish for you! 🐟✨ See You near the river guys!
I had kidney stomes last month worst pain every when they oassed inasked dr why he said too much energy drinks i habenr had a red bull since but another great video carl great job mate keep it going amd stay off the red bull
Ah man, sorry to hear that mate, it's the worst isn't it. It's so weird I never drink energy drinks, or the other things that typically cause it. My diet's the same as it's ever been. I'm going to see a Urologist to investigate further just to checks it's not anything else.
Keep coffee levels down and salt and drink plenty of water but it differs for people some are more prone to calcium build ups but if you have had them once unfortunatley you will probably get them again at some point😔
