Fantastic progress ..Doctor Zhivago comes to mind especially with Lucy's Hat .. The Van has been Fantastic in Challenging Conditions ..😍 the food looked delicious 😋 and welcome ..definitely unforgettable .. Stay Free and Safe Travels 👍👍
@@FromRustToRoadtrip I most certainly did enjoy it; well up to your usual impeccable standard of production! I can completely understand how some of the driving terrified you. I think you're both really brave tackling a trip like this in those conditions, but you're getting something quite unique in the process. It would never have occurred to me to use a free standing woodburner, but it's an obvious thing to do really as you'd never drive with one lit. Do you get much condensation in the van with it, or do you get less than you would with no heat? I know I've said this before, but you deserve many, many more views. I love that hot Turkish style bread too!
Absolutely stunning video, beautiful filming, breathtaking story telling and we can't believe we've only just found you. Wishing you all the best adventures!!
You guys are genuinely next level. Not only do you travel and adventure to awesome places. Drive on the most craziest roads. But your content creation is always amazing. Thanks for creating awesome vlogs! Have a great week peeps! 🤙🏽😎
@@FromRustToRoadtrip hey it’s the truth. We’ve watched you for years. Probably in our first lot of van lifers we found back in the day. You’ve inspired us in many ways ✌️
Wow! Utterly captivating - your videography is absolutely next level; I feel as if I’m watching National Geographic 😮 fantastic guys well done and what a star your old truck is - utterly in awe! ❤
Absolutely brilliant. You guys are amazing. Your video's are so we'll done and professional. It's like watching a high-end TV documentary. I can't imagine what you would be able yo produce with financial support and backing, but would that change the dynamics and alter the feel of your video's. I can't wait for the next part of your adventure.
Aw thanks so much Gary! That’s really nice of you to say 😄 If only we had a bit more financial backing, we could do amazing things with the aid of a translator and fixer- hopefully it will come soon! We’re already on the right track 😄
Great filming, as always. I have known engines that get addicted to Easy Start, had one Hudswell Clarke shunting loco that needed it every time, even when it was hot from several hours work! It is a known problem. I had a Landrover in -15degrees or so temp that was difficult to start, some hot water (NOT Boiling) poured over the fuel lines & pump did the trick. Have you bumped into @TrioMandili yet? 🙂
Thank you! Yeah we do hear that a lot about getting addicted to easy start, but we've had so many litres of the stuff poured through the system over the years and it seems fine, only ever wants it when it's below freezing. Definitely used the hot water method before too, it works! We were surprised the hot water bottle worked in this video and very grateful it did! Unfortunately not! We'd love to meet them, but on our previous video we did meet up with some amazing singers in both Pankisi and Tbilisi- if you haven't seen it yet it's well worth a watch 😀
This has to be the best cinematography I’ve ever seen on a van life vid. You’re setting a high bar - amazing 🤩 well done! I loved this video 😊 beautifully crafted
Another great one. Love the camera work on the cinematic sections and the banter on the vlogy bits is fun too. Honestly do not mean any offence but I think you could have a look at how you do the voiceovers a bit if I was gonna provide some unsolicited constructive criticism. Sometimes it just distracts from the majesty of the views. No offence intended still, a wonderful watch from start to finish and am enjoying these longer full length documentary style videos and can’t wait to see what comes next.
Thank you for the feedback! Always love to hear what people think so appreciate the honesty a lot 🙏🏼 Specifically, is it the audio quality, length of voiceover or just maybe a bit too much sometimes?
Oh thanks so much! That’s so lovely of you 😄 Sounds like a great vehicle you have as well. We honestly wouldn’t know how travelling through these places with a wheelchair would be, the countries don’t seem particularly well adapted but I’m sure you would manage. We won’t actually be travelling in the Bedford, it’s going to be a stationary hire van for tourists to stay in back in Cornwall, and we’re hoping to have it set up this summer! ☺️
Muchas gracias!
I would highly suggest a chinese diesel heater to replace that Eberspaecher. About £100 but a life saver and will save all that hassle with the wood burner.
Thank you, we were thinking about it for our next van but honestly we really enjoy the whole process of finding, chopping and burning the wood. It's very relaxing, but does have some draw backs, so we might well go down the diesel heater path in the future
@@FromRustToRoadtrip It is the 2.4 Duratorq. I used it to move house from Scotland to Hungary but now I live in Croatia. At one time it was too old to import to Croatia but they changed the rules so now it is possible.
How to stop your diesel freezing get a water tub fill with coolant pop a copper pipe in to the bottom take to exhaust pipe wrap copper pipe around exhaust pipe and then take to fuel filter wrap round filter and then back to tube full of coolant this will take heat from the exhaust along the pipe and heat up the fuel in the filter
I think it depends on the fuel pump, we’ve been told we can by some and can’t by others 🤣 we have a Bosch vp30 and it seems to not be recommended unfortunately
We’ve been told this quite a lot but we’ve put so many litres of the stuff through the system over the years and it’s not caused any problems for us. It only wants it in the cold, but even if it was to get addicted it wouldn’t be a problem. Anything to coax the old girl in to life is fine with us, she’s old and done lots of miles she deserves an easy life 😂
So we’ve been told but honestly this van has had litres of the stuff pass through it over the years 🤣 sometimes it’s the only way. We’ve recently had the timing readjusted and thankfully it’s starting straight away now 🤞
@@FromRustToRoadtrip hopenim not teaching my granny to suck eggs, but did you know if you add a small amount of petrol to diesel, it stops it waxing? Used to do it on lorries with steel fuel pipes..
@@ianwatkins9602 Yeah we've read up about it a lot, we've been doubtful as it's pretty much 50/50 people saying do it and dont' do it.. am I right in thinking that some fuel pumps can't handle it? We were very tempted up in those mountains
