I hope you guys were pulling for me. If not, I hope I at least defied some expectations. This was a really fun challenge, and I can't wait to try this again some day.
Honestly, I'd love to see a video or two of you either showing your model kit collection or building one. It doesn't need to be high quality and you don't need to make regular videos about it, I'd just like to see something.
@@Tattybirch96 Sure, I'll show them off on my Instagram. I don't build often, and I'm not that fast, but at least I'd like to think I'm getting better.
*Hey guys! Hope you all enjoyed the conclusion to our makeshift eBay deck bracket! Be sure to press the Like button if you did!* *What type of challenges should we do next? We were thinking about trying to buy some random cards off Amazon...* 🤔
Personally, I'd love for you guys to do that with "Amazon" bulks of cards, but to make it somewhat interesting you could allow the 2 competitors to each choose 1 card they already have (any card) to add to their main deck. However, the card cannot be part of or used in a current "meta" deck.
Amazon would be good to see. What type of challenge i was thinking was that you can only have 1 copy of a monster, spell or trap card in your deck. Like you can only have one magician or only one monster reborn. not 2 or 3. Just 1.
3:54 The moment I laid eyes on that "Ultimate Offering" it brought me into a nostalgia voyage of "Gadget" & "Machina" format back in 2011-12 or so. Year 5 of Ulti-Cannahawk still limited on the F & L list. 🐦 ⚡
Wow I really enjoyed this. Lots of back and fourth and no unbreakable turn 1 boards! This is what YGO was like back in the day. Just throw together your best cards and hope for the heart of the cards lol. Hope to see more in the future!
Hey y’all. Cheesy (and very long in retrospect, sorry!) comment maybe but I just wanna say how much I love your channel and how much your content means to me. I quit yugioh about 7 years ago when I was in 5th grade and how good you were at yugioh/how nice your binder was completely defined how cool you were. I would buy a booster pack every week and trade with people at my school or at tournaments and maybe get some new card sleeves every few months or so. Then I had to quit because I kinda lost interest even though I was pretty good but you guys have done so much to reignite my interest in yugioh and get me back up to speed. I can tell all of you care so much about the quality of your (damn funny) content and all of you have a deep love for the game that shines through in your channel, you guys made me remember how it felt to get to school early and play some duels with friends before class and during recess and it’s amazing to have part of my life that I locked away for so long be opened up again thanks to y’all. Thanks for making the inner duelist in me happy. TLDR you guys are amazing and I am infinitely thankful for all you’ve done for me and others :)
Adil I quit yugioh 14 years ago, I’m nearly 30. Still watching yugioh videos nearly every evening. Too bad I have no one in my surrounding still playing, so starting over again has no use for me. Still I completely understand your comment.
ASSK555 just look around man. Maybe you can find a local game store within an hour or so. That’s what I did, same story as you man, 28, quit in middle school and knew no one who played. Started back 6 months ago and found an LGS to play at.
Man i was worried for trell when i saw all those extra deck monsters but looks like swarming worked pretty well for him LOL. I would love to see another one of these maybe with more members of the APS crew :D
I quit YGO about 10 years ago, having played for about 6 years at that point, but recently got back into the game. It's extremely amusing to me to see you guys go "What the fuck is THAT card?" on the older stuff that I grew up with. So many of these cards were iconic to my childhood, and the art is burned into my memory. :P I've watched a few of your videos, at this point, and I enjoy your content. Keep it up!
I think it would be good to have a trade round. Either the player creates their deck and whatever they don't choose to use can be traded with the other player. Or if you want to be spicy, you could say that each player chooses their deck, each player gets to protect 3 cards. Then each player picks a card they want from the other person. If they choose a protected card, they get one of the cards that haven't been used in the final deck of the player, and the player who's card was targeted gets to choose which card they get. If its not a protected card and both choose non protected cards, then the trade happens
Just getting back into dueling after about a 10 year hiatus from the game, you guys and my 6 year old daughter have been my only Yu-Gi-Oh companions. You guys are the goats!!!
Im a magic player not yugioh. But I discovered yalls channel by accident and I love the random stuff. (I used to play a little yugioh way back in the day. Im 27. I stopped playing after synchro summons were introduced but im at least able to understand what's going on. ) earned my subscribe. Keep up the great content
Trell is way too resourceful and extremely good at taking random cards and making functional and synergistic decks. Think u all need to handicap him by taking out one card when he's finished making his deck 😆
2:45 "This one, what does it do?" "Ho ho Negate Attack" "What does negate attack do?" "It negates attack" Me: WOW. Never thought of that. (Seriously tho, can't stop laughing lmao)
Love the videos! You guys always seem to have a lot of fun and looking back that is going to be the most important part of all this. Looking forward to future videos!
Awesome video as always! Question, where did you guys get the Kozmo playmat at 8:51? As an endangered Kozmo player who’s excited to get back in the scene I would really appreciated!
Dang it. You guys are making me want to buy back into Yugioh. That was a really back-and-forth duel. This is a fun format :D My idea for a format: Someone prepares stacks for each card type and rarity. Then the two duelists randomly select X number of cards from each stack/array. So that way each player gets the same number of cards by rarity and type, and maybe the players wouldnt get to see what they're playing with til they draw. You could sprinkle in some really powerful (banlist?) cards to each pool just to add some RNG to the draft. The downside is that it'd be a lot of work setting it up (like this video was), but it would be cool to see a blind draft that's nominally balanced in this way. Maybe each player could even draft like 3 decks for a BO3 random draft face-off. The upside is that you could also have those cards organized into boxes for future drafts. Maybe you could somehow mark the front of the sleeves with small color-coded stickers so that the deck teardown would be simpler. Like... purple is common trap, purple with a marking is rare trap, and so on. Happy New Years to all of you :)
watching these kinds of videos makes me wanna buy random YuGiOh cards...but the only thing holding me back is my current storage issues lol. i already have multiple tcg collections and a board game collection taking up space
Lovin' y content guys, keep up the great work. Could we get a duel involving something like morphtronics or heroic challengers I love both the archtypes but I don't think they get enough love. But as I said, keep up the amazing work u guys got going on here I'll see u in the next one!💙💙
I saw the xyz dragon cannon I use 3 of the cards you make it with in my deck from speed duel decks And two jinzos with amplifiers so the xyz dragon canon the guy prob bought some speed duel boxes
This actually looks fun as hell...the joke aspect lies in that most games nowadays are striclty pay-to-win, which is a joke itself. Sad and ironic. Great vid
You guys should continue this but should allow them to swap left over cards to fill holes in the deck but maybe give them a penalty If they do? Something like that would allow for different plays as one could opt out of it while one accepts the deal.
Dark spirit trap 14 min 31 sec In, when it forced ryno to attack, you can actually attack with Ryno again, it's a bad card lol. Yes it can potentially stop a strong attack and make a weak monster kill itself, but in the rules, a player can attack once per monster, you did not attack with ryno your opponent did, and it does count as a force of an attack not a redirect, I used it before in duel links and ygopro and it does not use up the once per turn attack rule, so you could of attacked again with ryno lol
