I was thinning so have shaved it all off from then on. TBH I would prefer that it all just fucked off entirely so I didn't have to bother shaving regularly to keep it tidy.. Also if you're thinking of shaving it, be aware that if you wear hoods/hats you're probably going to get bits of fluff on your head because of the spikey hairs.
Back in 2015 at 30 years of age, I started seeing some some major signs of MPB hair loss. Overall thinning in my crown (primarily) and temples were thinning rapidly. I did some research on the web and decided the I wanted to keep my hair. At that time I started finasteride as a last ditch effort to save my hair(in my opinion). since my doctor was old school, he wouldn't me to try allow anything else but 1mg of finasteride daily. being scared of the side effects, i started with .25mg and after 6 months slowly rolled it up to 1mg. much to my surprise, not only did the hair loss stop, i gained a significant amount of hair back within 6 months and plateaued around a year and a half. my temples almost went back to when i was 28 and my crown filled in, but not completely. with finasteride alone, i went from a norwood 3.5 to around a norwood 2-2.5. around 4 years ago i started ketoconazole becaose of Derek MPMD recommendation twice weekly. i scrubbed it into my scalp during beginning of showers and left it in for about 5 minutes with the only side effect of scalp itch during that 5 mins (which i believe is it actively working). but after about a year of this, i noticed even more new growth. about 2 years ago, i started micro needling due to Derek at MPMD recommendation. with these two steps in addition to the fin, i'm now about a norwood 1.5. i'm VERY happy to be almost 40 years old and now with a head of hair I had when I was 26. it may not be perfect but it's my natural hair. as a side note, i have no noticeable side effects with finasteride. some people report it, but i firmly believe the majority of people have none (the silent majority). i had not done micro needling as frequently as big V but i perform the procedure at least once every few months. i started micro needling every 2 weeks at the beginning but held back since due to the pain V was describing. this is just my experience. i purposefully did NOT take Minoxidil because of the shedding and need to remain on min for life. finasteride is kind of like a pause button for hair loss. if stopping it, hair loss will resume from the point of where you started to lose it. minox will make all the new hair you grow fall out even worse than before you were taking it. this is why i actively avoided it. now if i were a norwood 4+ i'd consider it. to answer the question: would I get a hair transplant? the answer is yes but not without exhausting ALL other options. i'm happy with my norwood 1.5 right now, so no need. in the future if the finasteride ketoconazole micro needling combo stops working, then that's where i'll be looking.
Could you do a video about amount of "supplements" needed to take to be competitive at the highest level of strongman. Because not only are people coming out with contradicting statements but strongman seem to have better longevity than bodybuilders.
I don't want to lose my hair. I am. I've lost a lot of opportunities due to having long hair. I have cut it short to get jobs 3x in my life. Never again. I am balding now at age 45. I use keeps...but I assume I am I just prolonging the inevitable. I think I would be cool with being that bald guy with the mullet. I get annoyed when guys who always kept their hair short are the guys most upset with balding. Edit: Shaving your head for hair replacement just seems wrong. (in my eyes) I've always been a proponent of having long hair because I, personally, feel completely awkward without it. I'd rather be naked. Which is also why I feel betrayed by my balding lol.
Started balding around age 30, hair line withdrawing, thinning on top. Never bothered me a bit, just took it as a sign of high natural testosterone levels. I trained hard from 15 years of age, and at 25 - 30 I was such good shape, that some people thought I took PEDs, which I never did. I still train, and now at 50 years of age i am bald, and I am proud. In decent shape, but for sure testosterone levels drop with age. It is OK. The little hair I have on the sides of my head is turning white too. I do not mind at all, I stand by my age. I do not shame those, who get hair transplants, but I do not quite understand their need either. Have a nice day 👍👍
Between the age of 12 to 27 I got my hair cut properly once. I first let it grow in the early 90s when long hair on males was in fashion. I did have split end trims but for the most part I let it grow until at one point it was so long I used to sit on it. At 25 it started to recede and at 27 I got it cut and had a short style, by 32 I was firmly in the balding catagory. For years I was in fear of losing my hair, almost devastating. There was nothing I could do about. I'm a BALDIE now, I'm okay with it and have never thought about a transplant. It wasn't a thing 15yrs ago. In fact it would be weird if I got a hair transplant now. I'm not vain enough nor have the hair worth saving but my 27yr old self????

Bald patch on crown in 30s and sides as well so I now shave with a razor every other day so shiny bald and its the best easiest hair do I have ever had, I grew a beard for the first time in my life and its silver grey and stops me looking like a complete egg. Go bald guys, its liberating.
Exactly, I just shave my off on a weekly basis. No hair no time wasted on all matters related and money spent on the vanity products and barber. A win win. If you love hair just grow a beard which to men is like sexy lingerie to ladies.
I have a lot of hair, my hairdressers always tell me I dont have to worry about losing my hair later in life, but just in case I started growing it out to see how long hair would suit me, and I cant complain!
Started going bald at 19, was completely bald by 21. Now 36, I'm seeing a lot of guys my age starting to go bald, and stressing out about it. I know two guys, one went to Turkey for his hair, and it failed miserably.... the other is going soon.... It wouldn't be me thats for sure!
Personally I wasn't stressing to much, just wanted to see will this regrowth protocol works and it did on me. Looks matter for some people, so i can understand why some guys would be stressing out.
I think the biggest issue for people is “letting go” and refusing to accept that it’s happening. Every account I’ve heard on the topic is the same “I was so relieved when I shaved it off”. I know some guys who’d look perfectly fine bald yet refuse to take the plunge. Nobody is calling Jason Statham or Zinedine Zidane ugly because they’re bald…
I guess I'm the 33% checking in. I have a lot of hair and no bald spots. I'm 42. I let it grow. Now my employer is complaining. It's like the 60s all over again. I don't take 'supplements' and I don't use 'magic shampoos'. I'm just lucky that way, but I don't have a log press of 200 kg. Can't have everything in life.
I'm 21 and my hairline is receding, for the last 2 years. I always had a quite large forehead but now I'm at a point where I think of shaving my head. It's just at the edge of looking old with the hair left and even older without any hair. I think I'll leave them for now but in a year or two they are gone 🥲
Had mine done in Turkey at 35, done 0 micro needle, 6 months shampoo, 2 years later my hair is nearly as good as my teen years. Apparently your dona hairs/follicles depend how good its going to be
