I was VERY MUCH a member of the Kiss Army in junior high and high school!! It's hard for people today to understand just how HUGE these guys were in the 70s and early 80s. Their live shows were hugely elaborate, but the music was always just good basic fun rock and roll. This video features the group's original and classic lineup of vocalist/guitarist Paul "Star Child" Stanley, bassist/vocalist Gene "Monster Demon" Simmons, lead guitarist Ace "Spaceman" Frehley and drummer Peter "Cat Man" Criss. Stanley and Simmons were with the group throughout its entire history. Other great Kiss tracks include Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud, Rock And Roll All Night, Love Gun, Hotter Than Hell, Beth, Hard Luck Woman, Lick It Up and Christine Sixteen.
Ace Freeley was from my neighborhood in the Bronx. His mother and father use to walk through my block. They were in their 70’s and Mr.Freeley would always be wearing a KISS hat and we would shout out hello’s to them and they would always wave to us. He is the lead guitarist JOEY FROM THE BRONX
I knew KISS from my childhood but NEVER WANT TO Listen their songs or find about them until recently, because at that time i think they just do terrible or satanic music. Too late 30 years to love them 😂
Paul Stanley ( the lead singer for this song) also now has a group called Soul Station - you guys would like that too!!! He once played the Phantom in the Broadway production of Phantom of the Opera in Toronto
I'm no disco fan...but I can tell you that when they would do this song live years ago it was one of the highlights of their shows IMO. The groove of the song and the pyros going off (shaking the arena) is absolutely incredible!

My husband is a big Kiss fan. Kiss was the last concert we attended almost a year ago before everything shut down due to the pandemic. So glad we attended and enjoyed it. It was so worth it! ❤👍

I had the Honor & Privilege of being at Detroit's Historic Tiger Stadium in '97 when KISS played the 1st show of their Reunion tour!! An unbelievable show!! There were ppl dressed up w/make-up on!! Ppl of all ages from babies in strollers to older ppl on oxygen tanks, and just being in the moment!! They played an incredible 3hr set, then put on a 1hr Fireworks show!!
One of my most all time favourite rock bands ever! Takes me way back to my earliest childhood! This song got that bit of disco right? This is a CLASSIC! All four of them sing. Paul Stanley the "main vocalist" is arguably the best. Gene Simmons is the evil looking bassist. Ace Frehley is the spaceman lead guitarist. Peter Chris is the drummer. Started the band in 1973! Still going! Lots of personnel changes over the years but Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have always been there. This was their 70's "disco album"
KISS is awesome! I've seen them live many times over the years, including the summer of 2019. They still put on the best live show around. Check out Detroit Rock City, Black Diamond, ( the live Midnight Special version ), and Forever. (Their biggest hit during the non-makeup era) Another great reaction guys.
This was my first concert 1977 Green Bay, I was 12. My older brother was going with friends, I begged and begged and finally my Dad said yes! I couldn’t see good, so my brothers friend put me on his shoulders, well John was 7’1” so I was way up there. The lead singer Paul called me out and everyone went crazy. We got to meet the band and it was Amazing. They were so nice and we spent like an hour with them. They said my Dad was cool for allowing to go. I’ve been a Rocker Girl since than. Kiss has a amazing love ballad called Beth.

Shawn and Mel you guy's Rock! Kiss's biggest commercial hit in the U.S. was and remains to be "Beth". Ironically it has no drums on it, while the drummer Peter Criss wrote and sang it, it's from 1976. If you listen to their album Kiss "Alive" it's a great introduction to that band and well worth a listen to even if you don't react to it on here with the S & M Squad. Much love to you both!
i love it loud is prolly my very fav of these fellas . im 43 years old the first time i herd them i was 4 years old . and yes at 5 my mom painted my face like The Demon (Gene Simmons ) it was one of my first halloween outfits.
Paul Stanley is hands down one of THE most underrated vocalists. He is one of the greatest, and he is so low key in real life. Gene Simmons is the bass player and everyone knows him because he is over the top.
Hey, Y'all! I am loving your Channel thus far and welcome to MY world. I say that because KISS was my first love when it comes to rock music. I was born in the late 70s with a stepbrother 6 years older than me. He introduced me to lots of music back then but KISS was the first band I paid much attention to at that young age of 6-7...our first "album" was KISS: Alive II on 8-track tape (yes, I'm OLD! - LOL) followed by Alive on vinyl and Ace's 1978 Solo record on vinyl picture disc. Needless to say, I was hooked immediately and I have been a huge fan and a proud member of the KISS Army since 1977... Peace y'all, keep up the excellent work.
This song was a departure from their signature in your face gritty and LOUD hard rock. Paul Stanley (their lead singer) AKA the starchild wrote this song just to prove that he could write a disco song. It became a big hit. I have a few songs I feel you two should react to. First off is turn on the night. It's a criminally overlooked song from their album crazy nights. Second is heaven's on fire. That song is one hell of a rocking good time and lastly, the rock and roll national anthem I wanna rock and roll all night. Any of those three songs or all three even I highly suggest you two should react to. KISS is one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Check out more of their music. You can't go wrong with KISS!

I’m a tell you this band is the shit! I love this band since back in the day and the thing about me is I love hard rock music, but I also love disco, R&B, hip-hop, etc. but I’m crazy about disco so when they did the song I was like hell yeah
Whenever I hear this song, I always picture Leonardo DiCaprio running down the dock, just to get on the Titanic. Because that's kinda what KISS did here. They had to run as fast as they could, but they somehow managed to catch the Disco Bus at the very last stop, before it went off the cliff, to crash and burn.
Wow! That really brought back some memories. 70's were so fun. I wish people today acted like they did in the 70's. Everyone got along and just had fun.
My first favorite band. Got into them in '75 all the way til just after this LP. Saw 'em every year in Cincinnati. When recording this Disco was huge. Paul said he could write that kinda stuff. Soon after the drummer left, after the next LP the lead guitarist left. Over the next several years, different line ups, some great tunes but never the same. Check out "Rock and Roll all nite" and "Shout it Out Loud" from the '70s. Wont disappoint
This is my favorite band. They influenced me a lot as a drummer and a performer! If you want to see them without makeup look up "Lick It Up." I'm still requesting Mushroom Head - QWERTY!!
Now I'm sure a lot of Kiss purists would not count this as it's later in the 70s and it has a hint of disco influence, where as earlier albums are much harder like Love Gun, Deuce, Love It Loud to name just a very few. Going to drop a couple of songs for this group. I grew up during the time they were popular and my older teenage cousins listened a lot. Try Hard luck woman or Dr. Love. This song that you just reacted to is from 1979 The 2 I suggested are older. Black diamond is another good one. Seeing them live is an experience.
People actually called this period of kiss music Kissco....disco kiss which a lot of fans didnt particularly like... i did, but i like everything theyve done....Older stuff more so then the rest, but regardless I do love it all!!!! Favorite band of all time!

Kiss has life size wax figures at Graceland in the icon museum. Those boots had 8 in heels. The biggest display in there. Gene Simmons is a master of marketing. Kiss cups, cards, cartoons, lunch boxes, if the band could fit on it it went there. Gene took some tom Parker moves in marketing his band. Gene is the one with tongue. The ipso facto leader of that band
This song..? (though the band themselves deny it) is a literal class on Disco Metal. (The only other students are their apparent successors, Ghost, with their take on it, in the form of their Uber-Hit Dance Macabre). If you're game and I, as a fan of your channel, suggest you give that a listen - You will see the modern variation of this classic there! Keep on rocking! (As if you folks did anything else!)
They poured A LOT of money into their shows. They loved the KISS ARMY, their fan club. Always tried to entertain and satisfy. After this line up, The Originals, never the same and my favorite member Ace Frehley, lead guitar, never really hit his stride after this
