I think they probably go through comments and get rid of anyone who’s being serious. Hope you’re not referring to stuff like my comment? 🤷🏻♀️ clearly kidding around.
This is probably my favorite blog ever...everybody challenged themselves beyond what they thought they could do!! Plus; look at abbies face..she was having so much fun, not even telling to say she wasn't enjoying it..I was tearing up😪😂🥰
One of the best hikes I ever did was in the pouring rain. I went and stood under the waterfall at the end, which I wouldn’t have done if I hadn’t already been soaked. You all made some great memories. So proud of Abbie and Priscilla.
Sorry Asa, not sure what was funnier, you “taking a break” or you cleaning your shorts in freezing cold water.. I laughed way to hard for both.. 🤓 🇦🇺(AUS)

I love when grown men have that ah ha moment an realize they are not as young as they once were. My husband did it at about 40, tried to keep up with our oldest, who is in the NAVY, we went to the coast and those two did battles all day. Running, riding dirt bikes, driving a Jeep up and down a 40 mile stretch of beach. The funniest thing when they started a fire they both sat down and passed out in less than 2 minutes..
From a man's perspective it's not all that funny. Men go through a change of life around 45 and the biggest indicator is your body's inability to heal as quickly. Heat stroke or smoke inhalation isn't all that funny either. I was in the Navy too. Unless you're a SEAL or EOD PT is an afterthought; you only need to know how to tread water. As for Asa and Isaiah slip sliding in the muck, well they're not used to hills and mud. That's all. I wouldn't call it overexertion so much as just clumsiness and lack of preparation. I actually give them credit for pointing that out and laughing at themselves. There's a difference between having humility and being humiliated.
Neil K Walk, I’m sorry if you were offended. That was not my intention. It’s something I have watched many men and their 16-22 year old sons go through. When dads are older and sons are big and strong (no longer small children). Dads do everything they can to keep up and sons doing everything they can to show how grown they are. It’s a dynamic that is normal. I was sharing the story of the weekend my son and husband did this. They pushed each other so hard that by the time dinner rolled around they both fell asleep. It was funny, cute, endearing, and a wonderful memory for both of them.
Also: special shout out to Abbie for doing so well on the hike. I can't imagine her willingly doing this about a year ago (or two). Another special shout out to Priscilla for pushing through and doing the hike. :)
Love that Abby is able to do just about everything. Laughed so much when you were climbing. So proud of cilla. Summer your rich a great friend to Abby.
What a vlog. I just laughed and smiled throughout.. you guys made me relive my doctoral and postdoctoral field work days in the mountains. My senses have been tele transported to your hiking trail..the smell, the touch and even the taste of wet soil and sodden vegetation. Bliss. And the aching leg muscles thereafter. Asa and Isaiah, love you guys but the award goes to Priscilla. It can become real slippery sometimes. And Abigail.. she climbed a different mountain altogether. It was heartening and beyond all expectations. Well done, family.
The Maass Mountaineers! Asa and Isaiah you did great for unprepared city slickers 🤣! No, really 😊. I'm glad you boys didn't get hurt and had fun with it.
It's like the movie Romancing the Stone when they get swept off the mountain! It's a hike to remember and laugh about for your father's days in the future.
I love watching your family. I am a fourth grade teacher and I had a student two years ago on the spectrum (high functioning). I was lucky enough to find your channel around that time and it helped me.
I don't know why - but seeing mud on Isaiahs' face made me start singing Queen's *We Will Rock You* lol ---- Buddy, you're a boy, make a big noise Playing in the street, gonna be a big man someday You got mud on your face, you big disgrace Kicking your can all over the place, singin' We will, we will rock you We will, we will rock you
What an absolute achievement for Ab and Cilla! Totally out of Abs comfort zone and such an achievement for Cilla after her weight loss 👌🏻 Boss ladies ❤️✊🏻
Keep enjoying this trip, beautiful waterfall, Abbie a new hiker in the Family awwww, Abbie laughing yes Girly, she loves the rain, You all keep enjoying it .. .😊😊😊😊😊😊.
I love love love this vlog. What an amazing time you created as a family. I got stuck hiking in the pouring rain before, so I know what it's like. Y'all were all so happy. I am super impressed and amazed at Abbie, too. She did excellent. Much love to the Maass'.
The forest is so pretty & vibrant in the ☔️ rain...well done to you all especially Abbie & Priscilla so very proud of you & how far you’ve both come in the past two years....🥂🍾🥂🍾 Isaiah love the mud pack 🤣🤣
Honestly, you all did so well with the rain and each other! Amazing supportive family you are! You enjoyed the unsuspected and that shows how happy you all are as a family. I love it!
Oh my goodness! I laughed so hard while you two intrepid travelers slipped and slid your way down that path! AND A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO PRISCILLA!! What an accomplishment♥️💗♥️
This reminds me of Vermont so much! Our trails though are cleared by the Vermont Youth Corps. and all of us hikers. Those trails were looking pretty sad...Not easy for experienced hikers for sure. Well done on doing it!
Asa- Laughs at Isaiah.. says, “What is that??” 14 seconds later *Asa falls* Isaiah laughs, 12 seconds later *Isaiah falls” 😂🤦🏽♀️ but also, great job everyone, especially Abbie and Cilla!!!! Love y’all 💙💚
So proud of you cilla!! Never give up! Your an inspiration to us all to live our best lives and keep working hard. I hope you all enjoyed the adventure!
Is it bad I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes while the guys were sliding/hiking? That was great! I think it got me because I've been on many hikes where the same thing happened and it brought back those memories. Thanks for the laughs.
Isaiah really is the best brother. You know he was hurting from that fall and he still walked in front and stepped aside to help Abbie, you guys did a great job raising him.
I've been on family hikes that end up similarly to this, not with rain and mud but very unexpectedly difficult. It was fun to watch you guys handle it with the same laughter that my family always did.
you guys are the best family ever....I could not believe how much Abbey enjoyed hiking in the woods.....Isaiah is the best big brother.....my favorite one of your videos yet....FYI....I am a nurse from Canada and love your family....Hugs from Canada....!!
Always carry ponchos when you go hiking in the mountains lol just in case... Edit: and no water?! Water & ponchos, two main hiking items you should always take haha. Please tell me you at least took a first aid kit with you! Looks fun honestly :)
Wow that was a rainy day for sure!!! It looked fun though! I’m glad you guys weren’t super hurt, also you never updated us on your equipment and if it was scratched or broken. Hopefully everything came out unscathed. I hope you had an amazing vacation, even if it wasn’t as sunny as you would’ve liked, I still enjoyed the vlogs and can’t wait to see what the trip home is like for you guys!! Can’t wait to see your streams again Asa ❤️❤️ much love to you all!
I know you all got muddy and wet, but that sure did look like a fun hike and a day that I’m sure you guys all will look back on with laughter and fun memories! Way to go, all of you! You all did so well. 👏🏼 💜
That was quite the treacherous trail but you all made the hike look exhilarating and came out injury free. Abbie did amazing. And Cilla was outstanding. The unexpected rainfall made the trek more exciting. Glad you all are having a grand time.
Psshh, we rent camped for 11 days straight when we moved cross country and we have camped a few times every year that we’ve been married. This was our first time in an RV camping but we’ve done it a good bit.
Love seeing the father son moments 😁 my dad would never go on a hike like that with me but the moments we do have are always my favorite memories 😊 so proud if Cilla for going up that mountain, hiking is way harder than it looks and even more so in the pouring rain.
So proud of Abbie and Cilla for going so far on the hike. Cilla because I know how hard it is to do such a hike up a mountain when you were probably struggled before your surgery, because I know I did before I did and I was heavier than you were. And Abbie with all her sensory issues she did amazing also.
