If Superman is the paragon of Hope, then him reaching out to a hero who has lost hope 100% fits with Superman and I love it.

I love how Superman gave Batman HOPE, something he’s notorious for- I love seeing em as brothers in arms but ofc Brainiac comes to ruin that relationship

Why didn’t they just make a justice league game it could’ve had so much potential seeing post knight Batman open up to new allies and be given a new purpose to to help the world not just Gotham.

Imagine if it wasn't suicide squad kill the justice league but it instead was Arkham Batman being the only justice league member not mind controlled and he has to duke it out with the mind controlled justice league members, the suicide squad and brainiac all in one night

There should of been a Batman game about Bruce joining the Justice league. It could of been called Arkham Justice.

A Batman Arkham game of the Justice League recruiting him and him finding his place in it and proving himself a valuable asset working with and against such powerful forces would have been incredible.

I would like it of they had team ups here and there during the arkham Era, I like the dynamic that superman helped him, solidifying his freindship, also I would like it if supes did talk to Bruce about the league but he declined then the league gets near defeated or something due to bad teamwork and the bruce comes in and helps them on their feet and joins them

Batman joining/founding the league AFTER Arkham Knight makes some sense, insofar as (1) his true name is public, thus his darker reputation has been dulled, necessitating a different advantage that may come through teamwork, and (2) Batman has, by the end of his trilogy, learned the value of letting friends and allies in to help him, even trusting some of them enough to help the city in his stead while he reinvents himself. This new mindset could hypothetically make him open to accepting help from the future League members. But I hate that we won't be able to explore a post-Batman Gotham because of this Brainiac apocalypse. Did Robin and Red Hood ever become partners in Gotham despite their difference in methods? Did Barbara ever get a successor as Batgirl such as Stephanie Brown or Cassandra Cain? I wanted Cassandra in an Arkham game SO BADLY. But there is no time to look into this five year gap in depth because we gotta kill the Justice League now.

Honestly I'm a fan of how they established this version of the League. I like that Superman gave Batman hope which is what Superman stands for. I'm surprised that people aren't a fan of this.

The story that happened in between Arkham Knight and this game sounds more interesting that the actual story of the Suicide Squad game. A World's Finest game with Batman and Superman teaming up which is one of the most iconic team ups if not the most in all of comic book history, is just relegated to background information. I don't like how the Justice League is established in this universe and especially after Arkham Knight because it pretty much devalues its ending which was already convoluted to begin with.

Completely make sense that he joined the league after. Even the little Easter eggs does it even imply that he’s a part of a team in all three games. Yes there are references to the Flash, Lex Luthor & Metropolis. but no Easter eggs for a team up.

But still, bruce is still gonna get sued as being batman for all of his crimes

I do like that Superman helped Batman out from his most darkest days. In all the other interpretations of these two it’s always Batman helps Superman. This time Superman helps Batman

It makes sense because Superman is in the Arkham universe as well the justice league you can hear goons talk about Superman when they said “that FREAK FROM Metropolis” the reason why scarecrow bombs around the entire city because he knew there was other heroes out there. That’s why he bombed or tried to bomb Gotham if anybody else tried to help Batman. The league didn’t exist around Arkham Knight but the heroes did they just wasn’t together yet. Lex Luther also funded the militia to take out Batman so he can take over Gotham so he’s in our universe as well

Imagine Red Hood makes an appearance in this game, it would be so suiting for him to get his own character and all, themed around guns and stuff

what i love about the idea of everyone knowing batmans secret identitiy in the justice league is that no one will have to ever question where the league gets their funding

The alpha showed a lot more on the Justice League's formation. There is also audio logs that do the same, along with showing their dynamic as a group of friends. It's really cute.

They have to release prequel comics that tie into the story, just like arkham knight

It’s nice to know that he didn’t just die I think the Arkham games did what they do best, yes it sucks it had to be this one that brought Bruce back but still. Also nice to know it’s Superman because it finally shows he can be an actual hero rather than the status quo

HOT TAKE: I think Batman joining the Justice League after the events of Arkham Knight works perfectly. If you think about Batman's history, he initially started as a gritty and grounded character in the 1940s, but eventually evolved into more of a superhero in the 1950s and 60s. And in the Arkhamverse, I think Batman is using the League's public heroism as another way to fight crime and protect Gotham and the world, but without a doubt, when night falls in Gotham, the Knightmare Batman who we see at the end of Arkham Knight is who keeps Gotham safe. So when you think about it, there's essentially now TWO Batmans existing. Much like how in the Arkham games, there was Bruce Wayne and Batman trying to save Gotham. One Batman is a myth, as we see at the end of Arkham Knight, and the other Batman is a legend, someone's whose identity is now public, but his legacy as a vigilante protector is what strikes fear into the hearts of criminals he fights during the day.

I hope we get a flashback of Superman finding Batman where we play as Superman to find Batman and just talk about the events of Arkham Knight and the creation of the Justice League. If they do this and have Superman stop some crime in the city that leads to him finding Bats and following back to his new hideout then it would be a good test run for a future Superman game tbh but it would be cool

I just read the series where batman and superman age in real time a few days ago. It was nice seeing bruce be happy, find love, be batman, maintain his friendship with superman etc.

Interesting that three founding members of the JL, Cyborg, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman are not in the JL are very interesting. I know it sounds dumb but maybe Rocksteady has future games for these heroes in mind?

Having Batman so publicly a part of the League after having his identity revealed is a bit of a mistake, it would have been really cool to have him up in the watchtower as a secret member that Superman recruited, watching over things like Oracle did for him.

A thing I really liked while playing the alpha, was the heroes logs. And you can hear them interacting and their dynamics, it was awesome. I hope and I think at some point we are going to see how the Justice league before going corrupted as a flashback cutscene.

It’s not that simple, believe me Bruce being depressed and commited to be Batman is one thing but that’s like punching a wall. Superman might’ve helped him but we know how ridiculously stubborn Bruce is, he might say no until he realizes he needs help. So here’s the real question, what enemy did the league faced first before brainiac? It has to be one of global preportion, one who has plans to take over the world, one who we seen in a dlc inside an abandoned amusement park. Starro the Conquerer Starro is a powerful telepath, he might abuse Bruce’s loneliness to the point he needs help and Superman and the league helps him. Hell the first Justice League comic was 5 members vs Starro

Honestly, I wish they just made a Justice League game. At the very least, I hope we get a prequel comic explaining the JLA’s origin in this universe. I would say a game, but following the passage of Kevin Conroy, I doubt that’s possible without a recast (which I’m not inherently against a recast if there’s a good enough story to be told, but it would definitely be controversial.)

Maybe when wonder woman traps a hero with her lasso, he remembers parts of his life and this way, the game show us flashbacks about how the league was formed, it would be pretty cool imo if they do this.

I love the idea of Batman joining the League after seeing it all in Gotham. It’s a transition, just like the Long Halloween was Batman’s transition from mob boss to supervillain.

Since we know that Multiverses are a part of the game now (the next insider episode is titled Elseworlds) we can presume that when we kill/save a JL member we will get more backstory how the league formed. Like I can see we "kill" them and then learn that they were the JL of a different world that already fell and the real JL will show up.

I can’t just have them say, “Superman flys in to save the day!” Unless I see a game in-between. I think whatever money they get from this should be put into fixing the giant chunk of plot missing. I would have liked that the world accepts Batman/he gets a purpose in having to fight brainiac. We should have been playing as the league. The suicide squad if they really wanted could have been put later down the line after we get a Superman game and yk any other characters.

Man, that story would be a great Batman/Superman game that could’ve been a stepping stone to a solo Superman game. I’d buy that and I’m not even a huge Superman fan or a gamer. I’m just a random person who likes the Arkham games. I really don’t play much else.

Arkham Knight’s ending wasn't perfect but it does give this new game a lot of things to fill out a game before this forming the league would have given it less to have to explain so it could focus on just being a game about going against the league which is what I think rocksteady intended

Something I can see Rock Steady doing is in the future making a Justice League game that takes place between Arkham Knight and Kill the Justice League.

I'm planning on play this game, and yeah, I'm worried it won't be a great game. At the same time, I am seeing a lot of funny coincidences that could hint otherwise. When Arkham Knight came out, people hated a lot of it, and disliked the ending, disliked what they did with Batman. Few years past, and everyone starts to really love it. Although suicide squad could be bad, there is always a chance. Reminds me of the Star Trek fanbase. New Trek show comes out, everyone hates on it, few years past and its loved. Honestly, I am glad Rocksteady is taking a risk, not enough companies do that. Sometimes risks work out, sometimes they don't, but I'd rather want companies to take risks so that maybe the game industry can improve. if this game fails, it'll show other companies to not pursue this genre of gaming, but if it succeeds, it'll show the game industries how to do a looter shooter live service game right. Who knows, but hopefully this game surprises us.

I love how the first person whose identity is known to the public in this universe is Batman’s. I guess Superman would seek out Batman especially seeing Batman becoming the ghost especially if they have met before

This version of batman loosing his secret identity is just like kingdom come batman, that story made it work, Bruce pretty much carried on fighting crime and eventually making an army of robot batmen to make Gotham one of safest cities in the world.

I'm really on the fence about this. It does sort of feel like a cop out in some ways, it removes potential history, and it arguably lessens Arkham Knight's ending (especially depending on the role Batman plays in this game); but I _do_ actually like the idea of Superman hearing about the events in Gotham and going to check in on things, inadvertently finding Batman and offering his help. It's a very Superman-like thing to do, and it's a situation very unique to this particular series of events. Of course idk how much the game is going to explore that dynamic seeing as the JL are presumably mind controlled for most of it, but time will tell. I also think they should at least lightly explore the public reaction to Bruceman being alive... because that's kind of a big deal. Wow, I already see a video on my feed about how this game "ruined" Bats and Sups meeting. Edit: I really respect you reserving a final judgement until you, y'know, _actually experience the story you're judging._ More people should follow this most basic of rules.

The ending of Arkham Knight was based on the devs discontinuing the Arkham series. Thats why it's "lazy". Remember alot of Rocksteady employees left because they wanted to develop a Superman game but they (WB) wanted this new game. PS: Superman said he loves (bromance) Batman❤

Ive always thought this would be a good idea for the movies. Set the solo batman movies before the justice league movie so he's not fighting victor zazz one day then darksied the next.

The problem I have is the league not being around even though the characters exist on the marketing for Metropolis and Star city in knight has silhouettes of flash and superman which means they are well known which is why it bugs me they didn’t team earlier in the timeline I would not be mad if the characters didn’t exist at the time so you could be like they formed after flash and superman got there powers or something

it would be awesome to have an arkham game just like injustice wheree its the complete story of how the justice league was founded and how superman helped batman and then you have a 2hr story with some lil fights maybe if that even makes sense

This game is just so strange because based on what I know of it, I want it and I don't want it. I'm sure many Arkhamverse fans feel the same. To me... this would have made a lot more sense, than this Suicide Squad game. They could have started the story with a singleplayer prologue showing the recruitment of Batman, following into a few of the missions they did together, having you try all characters, let you play as Superman a bit, and ultimately lead into the 5 years later, Brainiac attacks, Superman is taken over by Brainiac, raising the stakes... you are left with 4 Justice League members for 4 player co-op, who have to defeat Brainiac and kill Superman (but will probably find a way to save him towards the end of the game, and then there could be a possibly playable Superman sequence for the end boss). Then for the end game, you could still pull the multiversal BS for more DLC.

This seems like lazy writing. The whole point of the Knightfall protocol was to create a new myth that could be bigger than Batman, which was Knightmare Batman being that criminals would be afraid of Batman again thinking its his ghost or demons after 'dying'. Bruce joining the Justice League would ruin this mythos since it would tell people that Bruce is still alive.

i hope the campaign is like really long like maybe 6 hours or so so that for the first 40 minutes to a hour we can see the league pre mind control and maybe fight a villain and just so we can see their dynamic then maybe at the end of the hour or so then brainiac comes and things slowly go down spiral and then we cut to the suicide squad

See I always preferred the idea that the Justice League formed sometime after Origins, then something happened that caused Bruce to leave before Asylum. Origins Bruce seemed to be on a path toward accepting help from others, whereas in Asylum through Knight it seemed like he had kind of burnt out on all that, so I used to assume "okay something really bad happened to the point that he shut out basically everybody and left." Also the existence of Prometheus, Starro, and from what I recall the Injustice Gang as well BEFORE Asylum without there being a JLA just doesn't seem right. I dunno, between this and the issues with King Shark and Deadshot I'm kinda just writing this game off as an AU.

I kinda want another Arkham game to play as other members of the batfam. Orphan, Spoiler, hell if Talia is alive then and Superman has been around the last 8 years then introduce Damian and Johnathan Kent

When does this game take place, like how long after Arkham knight because in the museum it states that he joined the team 7 years after he faked his death. So I feel like he couldn’t have been in the league for very long.

There’s a new 52 comic called earth 2 where it takes place on earth 2 and essentially what’s gonna happen in the game happens in this comic dark side teams up with brainiac to take over earth 2 Batman superman and wonder women die in the invasion and all the side kicks huntress power girl and Val-zod jay gerrick take up there mentors mantles
