We Finally Know What Happened On God Valley 

I feel like it makes more sense if Jinny is Bonnies mom since it's her flashback. Well Kuma's but still it has to do with her more than Luffy.

I think Kuma's fruit fits him well because he wanted to be like Nika who free people from suffering. Remember that his fruit can LITERALLY take anything away from anybody, including pain. Maybe he met his fruit by fate.

Oda writes one piece in a lighter tone as compared to other dark mangas but when he decides to show the dark tones in his story they always get to me.

imagine if xebec was actually not that bad of a person and was just like luffy and roger. and he had friends in god valley so when he saw what happened there he snapped and started killing everyone. that's when roger and garp came to stop him, and to cover up the "population eradication" game, they put the blame on xebec and that he's the one that killed everyone on the godvalley. and that's also why garp doesnt want to talk about it cause he was protecting the real criminals

My idea for why Rocks was at God valley is because the WG used him as a scapegoat for their tournament in the first place. They basically blame the aftermath of their tournament on a pirate and Rocks found out about it. So he went there to spice things up. So when Rocks arrives most of the natives and slaves are already dead, he attacks the celestial dragons they call the nearest marine which is Garp hunting Roger. And Roger and Garp team up since they see the carnage and assume it has been done by the Rocks pirates because it matches the news from the newspaper. It's possible that Whitebeard protects Kuma, Ivankov and Jinny from Garling and hands them over to a rookie marine named Dragon. In the aftermath of the skirmish Dragon would have told Garp that the Celestial Dragons were the real culprits and Roger would know that Whitebeard is an okay guy.

The God Valley event should just be it's own movie

I think Ginny is Bonney’s mom, not Luffy’s mom. Both Luffy and Bonney love eating, hence the possible confusion. Here’s my theory, Kuma and Ginny eventually get together and Bonney is Kuma’s biological kid thru Ginny (Both have pink hair, love eating). Or..Ginny eventually gets pregnant (not from Kuma), gives birth to Bonney, but through some unfortunate event, is dying and can’t take care of Bonney. So, Ginny ends up giving Bonney over to Kuma as this incredible sense of trust and love she’ll probably have for him. Both options still show us that Kuma and Bonney are a father daughter thing…..or Ginny is just a rando that dies in the next flashback. *update - Figure I try to make an update after reading some of the comments, 1 new possibility could be that Bonney is a clone of Ginny, who probably gets to know vegapunk while being with Kuma and then dies, but who really knows at this moment? Also, yes technically we don’t know what Ginny’s color hair is at the moment…but c’mon. It’s probably pink, or purple, or blue, or even red. Point is, we’ll find out eventually

I think the fact that Saturn compared the strawhats to other pirate crews because they work together and look out for each other and found that interesting is a strong nod that he was there when they threw down with the rocks pirates who are known for in-fighting

You skipped the part where Saturn sees Luffy on the floor and IMMEDIATELY tries to kill him. He was playing with the rest of them but I believe this is a hint that he is clearly afraid of Nika.

When Sanji took those attacks from Queen and from the Jinbei Seraphim, pay attention to the positioning of his eyebrow. Sanji is at his most powerful when his eyebrow changes its position.

Can we just emphasize what an absolute unit Sabo is? Saturn is capable of this with just an eye and Sabo got away from all five plus Emu with just a stab, then reported all of this to Dragon.

It sounds like Kuma is going to have another big part in helping luffy, and it also fits how his devil fruit number is missing from the crew, maybe between him knowing luffy's heart beat, and chopper, they will be able to reverse the damage that Luffy has done to himself over the years, along with helping luffy understand he's devil fruit better.

Jinny has to be Bonney's mom, and the meat she's eating is to reference the "glutton". Also, remember Ivankov didn't know where dragon came from, and was surprised to find out he had a son. It wouldn't make any sense because clearly Iva already knows Jinny here 🤷‍♀️

Ginny is more likely Bonney’s mom, but never Luffys’, if we are hypothesizing that Dragon is going to take them in, that means Ginny and Kuma are closer in age and also were enslaved together. Their story and age aligns more than anyone else

Also in the chapter, when the nika silhouette is shown, it seems he is holding a sword in right hand (Right Hand Zoro) and a heart shape spear in his left hand (Left Hand Sanji)

Garling definitely looks like Shanks. But not as much as I was picturing when I first read "[Garling] looks exactly like Shanks but with a different hairstyle" in the spoilers. But wither way, I love his design! Ivankov and Kuma knowing each other for 38 years makes the scene of Ivankov seeing Kuma has lost his memories and personality at Marineford even more tragic. I don’t think Jinny is Luffy’s mom. Because I feel like Ivankov would’ve been able to guess that Jinny was his mom when he heard Dragon was Luffy’s dad in Impel Down. Given their similarities in face shape and height, I wouldn’t be surprised if we found out Whitebeard was a Buccaneer, too. The Buccaneers are really interesting. The Lunarians seemed to be destroyed because they lived atop the Red Line and the Celestials wanted it for themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if the Buccaneers' crime was solely worshipping Nika.

Remember last time we saw Imu, he/she said it was almost time for the great cleansing. Meanwhile this tournament the Celestial Dragons did always happened after 3 years.. That means it might have not stopped and we might get to see it again since it's almost been a full 3 years since Luffy set out to sea.

It's already been said, but I'll go ahead and say it, Jinny is most likely Bonney's mother. Remember, Ivankov had no idea Dragon had a son until Luffy himself told him, so whether he and Jinny are biological siblings or not, it stands to reason she'd tell him if she had a child. Jinny also had a similar sounding name and greater physical resemblance to Bonney. And, Luffy is not the only character shown in the present to like eating meat.

Dont you think it’s possible for the Gorosei and Imu to have 2 Devil Fruits? I mean, they’re immortal and have been around forever. Also, there’s no way that Blackbeard is the ONLY CHARACTER in the series to be able to consume 2 devil fruits. If anyone would have the knowledge on how it’s possible it should be the Gorosei and Imu

I think the point of Oda showing Sanji tanking that hit from the seraphim was to emphasise just how powerful Saturn is. That seems like something he would do and the point was definitely made.

Looking at how many devil fruits possibly being obtained in God Valley, i think the purpose Rocks went there is to collect some devil fruits. That makes the parallel between Blackbeard and Rocks better

This is the perfect chance to give us the revolutionary's back story, Revolutionary/Kuma/Godvalley/Roger/Garp/Rocks this is going to be an amazing flashback. This is probably the 2nd most anticipated flashback in all of One Piece. This flashback will most likely be better than the Void Century flashback.

I have zero idea why people think Jinny is Luffy’s mom. Jinny is very clearly related to Bonney (pink hair, massive food is also related to Bonney’s eating habits, Kuma being present and knowing her). Dude, Occam’s Razor clearly points towards Jinny being related to Bonney, not Luffy. Don’t forget that Jinny is Ivankov’s sister too, so if Jinny was Luffy’s mom that would make Ivankov Luffy’s uncle (aunt?) despite the fact that Ivankov never knew about Dragon having a family. There’s no way she’s Luffy’s mom.

In the panel where the "event" is announced seems like there are visible 6 treasure's chests. Could it be that in one of them there'd be a little red-haired boy to be found? Which kind of treasures a Celestial Dragon might aspire to have, as they got everything they want? I can't wait to see the story unfold and understand the truth about Xebec, Roger and Garp.

Don't forget that God Valley had the 6 chests of prizes which are likely to be devil fruits! I think Rocks knew about the tournaments and their prizes and raided the island BECAUSE there's a tournament on it, not because it's any specific island.

I’m honestly thinking that the Rocks crew might have been trying to protect the island. The only wrench in this thought process is “Why the heck did Rodger teamed up with Garp/WG to take down Rocks?”. So yes, the Rocks pirates were a band of mischiefs, but let’s not forget, the WG is the one who interprets stories and controls how history will be remembered. Although he might have been part of Rocks; Whitebeard is a good guy, and he’d for sure would have wanted to help an island in need. Big Mom, in her own way, is a good person. Most recently, we saw how mad she got when she heard from Otama that Okobere town had been attacked by the beast pirates. Finally, when it comes to Kaido, his motivation was probably not protecting the island, but attacking the Celestial Dragons. We saw from his teenage year that he hates the WG/leaders. I really like this idea, but again I just can’t come up with a good reason as to why Rodger teamed up with Garp. If the Rocks crew had bad intentions, then the island is doomed regardless giving Rodger no reason to step in. Unless the WG lied to Rodger and the rest of the world and that’s why Rodger and Garp teamed up

She would be Bonney's mother based on the timing and could explain Ivankov and Kumar's strong friendship.

I just learned even more in this video than chaper 1095, which I didn't think was possible. The power of this man is unimaginable.

I hope the God Valley flashbacks continue in the next chapter, and I assume it's just moment before the Rocks Pirates attack that island. I don't think that Rocks would have liberated these slave tournament participants out of the goodness of his heart, but maybe there was a member of some race he desired among them. Alternatively, Big Mom attacked the island first to get some races for her future kingdom and the Rocks Pirates joined her later.

What if this incident was the reason Fujitora blinded himself? He might have been invited to come guard some of Celestial Dragons but saw the atrocities and decided the world wasn't worth seeing.

Kuma is gonna come to Egghead. There is no way Oda won't miss a chance for Kuma to save Bonney and i really want Luffy to get back into Gear 5 again so that Kuma will see Nika one time before he sacrifice himself and die We know Kuma said to Luffy at Sabaody 2 years ago like: We will never meet again Both Kuma and Dragon coming to Egghead. 100%

The op devil fruits were probally in the boxes as an reward for the tournament. This would make more sense because those boxes look the same as luffy's fruits box.

I think this chapter could answer few unsolved questions like.. 1. How did fisher tigher escape from celestisl dragons ? - as shown in this chapter every few year celestial dragons hold eradication tournament & just like kuma ,fisher tiger got chance to escape free from them & he was a fishman so he just needed to jump in sea to escape (unlike regular human need boat or something) - slves were bounded with chain around their neck but i think at that time there was no exploding chain lock around neck (We do not see those on ivankove ,kuma & others) 2. Why did fujitora blinded himself ? - just like this chapter ,he might have witnessed the massacre of many many innocent people by celestial dragons

1.I think dragon was marine , after Seeing cruelty of celestial dragons, he rescued all celestial dragons and took away with Jim , that's why he is the worst criminal in history . 2.May be kuma, dragon, wb,kaido, all got df from there . 3.May be crocodile was also a slave like kuma , saved by dragon, that's why when he heard luffy is dragon's son, by respecting his saviour he helped luffy . 4.May be rocks pirates wanted DF, just like BB , that's why they attacked god valley . This is easily one of the darkest chapters in the manga, and the flashback is going to get darker still. After all these years, the Celestial Dragons can still somehow shock us with their evil.

My favorite Devil Fruit is the Pika Pika no Mi and it is followed by the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi. You can imagine how much I love this arc.Oda has been trolling us with Luffy vs Kizaru because he's clearly annoyed with all the insane powerscaling seniors for even trying to compare Yonkos and Admirals so painstakingly.Let me just focus on Kuma.He started as a SLAVE , he ended up a TYRANT. Talk about epic character journey...

I was curious about what looked like the "rewards" in one panel. The chests, it made me wonder if like blackbeard, rocks was searching for a specific fruit, and the rewards were devil fruit(possibly including the one he wanted). I dont know how "plot" helping it would be, but rodger hearing about having to stop rocks from his voice of all things stepped up and convinced garp to help him? I also thought ginny was bonnies mom? Possibly satrun may have restritions to his abylity, like if he was omnipotent why didnt he just finish off bonnie or luffy with his abylity instead of tryin to stomp luffy and have bonnie shot. Some sort of limit based on fear or perception? (Similar to big mom) I wonder if his abylities are tied in some way to the yokai that his fruit is designed after? Just my thoughts on that chapter.

God valley could also be thriller bark. If you look at the shape of the island it matches moria's ship. Maybe that's why god valley disappeared. And also captain john was one of Moria's zombies and he was part of rock's crew maybe captain john died on god valley . Also thriller bark is located in the west blue which is were god valley is located.

Big News Helmeppo (Big news Morgan’s predecessor) spreaded the information of 6 powerful DFs as prize for the winners of God Valley to the underworld. Roger Was chasing the Nika fruit. So he followed all bread crumbs he could find. So he participated in the battle and took one treasure chest with himself but Shanks was hidden in there. Xebec was hunting for the strongest just like Blackbeard in the current story. So he participated God Valley with his whole crew. Linlin already got her DF in her youth but was capable of chasing one chest and took the fruit with her. As the world government and marines were about to win the battle, she gave the fruit to Kaido. In return he had to take her off the island with his new dragon abilities. Whitebeard got the Gura Gura no mi, but was chased down by Garling. As he was distracted by the bad tasting fruit(distraction is his curse), Garling could injure him deeply. But thanks WB‘s Bucanneer genes he could survive the injuries. He then created a tsunami of healing water(reference to the sake, shanks brought) and healed a bunch of injured pirates, who called him Pops from now on. Together they could overcome Garling and escape the battlefield. Rocks fought Saturn and couldn’t stand a chance. Saturn stabs him through the heart, but enables Rocks mythical Yomi Yomi DF, type Schroedinger‘s cat (rocks Jolly Roger has the shape of Brooks ghost form, he is now both dead and alive). Switching to his ghost form his ghost escapes into the parallel underworld (similar to Bruno’s door door world) but his physical body was blown apart by Saturn Demon Wink. So he followed whitebeard in the parallel underworld until Whiteboard recruited a young Teach with a strange body (Gen defect: two hearts, giant blood and human bloods) and considered him to be the perfect shell for his second life so he stabs the giant heart with his demonic shadow powers (reference to original Blackbeard Thatch flag, horned devil stabs a heart) From that day on the young Teach was only himself by night and got to hear of the cruel things his alter ego was doing daily, unable to sleep, crying through the whole night(reference to SBS: Teach as a child)

Saturn was the one who gave the deadly disease to Gol D. Roger. Saturn's special power is to give incurable diseases. Maybe he'll give it to luffy but Chopper is the one who will find the cure and save Luffy.

Gotta say, i enjoy your way of talking and making Videos. Most reviews of One Piece Chapters are way way more sensational and you know the "This blows our mind; everything just changed; etc."

There is a details that is bugging me in this chapter. The panel where the hunt is announced the one that does , is standing at a high ground platform with 6 (i think ) pillars and each one has a box on the top. Many times we have seen devil fruits be put in boxes like this , so maybe, those are like rewards for the celestial dragons with the best performance on the hunt ( we saw Garling losing some king of points relative to the hunt) and that's the target of Xebec?

Did you notice the 6 chests surrounding the Celestial Dragon that was announcing the tournament? Perhaps each of those chests contained a devil fruit...

I've been hearing that Shanks was found in a chest, making it seem like he was also a prize. And his father was probably trying to win him back, or there's a possibility he gave up his son up as a prize. While the pirates were looting the prizes, Roger probably ended up taking Shanks, probably feeling bad for him.

My theory is that Rocks attacked the island to take the world nobles hostage. A large group like that would obviously a powerful bargaining chip with the WG. When they however refused his demands (whatever they were), he probably threatened to kill everyone one the island (including the islanders, slaves, and Celestial dragons), which is when roger interfered.

Honestly, the Oden flashback was great, but right now I'm kinda fatigued with Flashbacks and hoping they don't make this one long like the Oden flashback was.

This makes Sabo's escape more impressive

I think Jinny is bonnie's mom. Unless we see dragon as somewhat young too, then we can talk about her being luffy's. But as of now it's pretty much hinted at as bonnie's

14:09 I read s long time ago that the word kaizoku can be written in two ways in Japanese. The second way it’s written down you can also read it as “the sea clan”. If that’s true then it can be very important to the story. Maybe the name if the ancient kingdom related to that. We can think of our world’s parallel in Atlantis. More specifically The Lost City of Atlantis. Laugh Tale is a lost island. Atlantis was said to be a very advanced kingdom and the ancient kingdom was said to be advanced as well.

Yeah, God Valley seems to be home to a number of powerful devilfruits. But I think devilfreuits could have been only for the celestials. And thats even why they live so far away from water. I dunno

Notice the 6 boxes on that panel? Someone said that those might contain legendary devil fruits, eg. Kuma's, Whitebeard's and Big Mom's. Rocks might have attacked God Valley because of those Devil Fruits or atleast take the prizes of the tournament for themselves. Rings a bell? Yes, Dressrosa, exactly.

I'm kind of speculating that someone among the Gorosei has the ability to freeze time on people. but not like the Dio version where all time stops. I'm thinking someone froze the gorosei in a certain state and now they will forever be in that state no matter what. for ex Saturn was frozen when he was an old man already the stab in his chest healed and disappeared because when he was originally frozen that wound didn't exist.

Okay, so I like this theory about Saint Figarland being shanks father. There's one thing I'm confused about. I'm currently re-reading one piece right now, and on chapter 9, the little snippet before the chapter actually starts. " It is the golden age of piracy. Counselors pirates sail the seas, searching for legendary pirate Gold Rogers mysterious treasure, the "One piece" among them is Monkey D Luffy, who grew up listening to the wild tales of buccaneer "Red-haired", shanks and dreaming of becoming a pirate himself."' In this part of one piece pre timeskip, it refers to shanks as a buccaneer, a special race that is nearly extinct in which Kuma is confirmed to be a part of.

I would think Jinny is Bonney's mom rather than Luffy's. Would be more relevant to this Kuma flashback and Bonney is also a notoriously big eater. Also 99.99% sure she dies by the end of this flashback.

Just a theory-- i think roger came to god valley to fight stronger opponents and xebec came to island because maybe he wanted obtain something that he knew or he too came there just to fight as we know he wanted to become the king of the world meanwhile garp headed to god valley unofficially (as a member of sword) as the illegal activities were conducted by the celestial dragons so i dont think they would allow marines to interrupt them. Roger saw the unruly tyranny of the celestial dragons and was moved by the grief of slaves so he may have decided to fight along with garp against the CDs. Even though having garling by their side it was too much for the CDs to handle both roger, his crew and garp so the CDs may have tried to bribe xebec and made him fight along with them but still got defeated. But by the recent chapters there has been speculations that the scar on wb chest was given by garling going by the conversation of wb and shanks. Dont know whats gonna happen ☮️✌️

Pretty sure Jinny is Bonney's mother. The pink hair (maybe?) and the fact that she likes meat are strong hints. But also she's around the same age as Kuma so we can easily speculate that they will fall in love and have Bonney before Jinny inevitably dies.

Considering his spider-like appearance and the fact that people can not move freely and are suffering attacks from smth invisible it strongly reminds me the Doflamingo's power. I would at least assume that this is the spider net we are talking about, that doesn't allow everybody to move. Also the part where he mentions that he comes to the surface extremely rarely, his demonic appearance and the fact that he came through some sort of pictogram that look like a summoning portal makes me wonder if it actually can be the true Saturn's body that is usually controlling his human version as a puppet made of the strings or he is a straight forward summoned demon himself.

I'd make the case that Saturn does not have a devil fruit. Usually whenever a new character with a fruit power is introduced, it shows a box with their name, title/rank and what there devil fruit name is. Saturn wasn't shown to have a named fruit. Combine that with the point that he appears to not age over the course of almost 40 years, he might actually just be some kind of mythical creature/demon that when killed becomes a new devil fruit

The secret techniques of Saturn lie in the summoning pentagram circle . It gives ultimate control on anything that is there within the circle just like Law’s room. This will be his ultimate weakness as soon as the pentagram is erased Saturn will be vulnerable.

I think Shanks is the clone of Garling, but not an artificially created clone like the ones from Vegapunk. I’m saying, Garling has the Clone Clone fruit and creates one baby version of himself every 25 years. Just remember the sentence from Whitebeard: THE WOUND I GOT FROM "THAT GUY" ACHES WHENEVER I LOOK AT YOUR FACE. (ch.434) WB must have got the wound from ~ 26 years old Garling during the god valley incident, as during that time the 36 years old WB was part of Rocks crew. Shanks was 37 when he clashed with 72 years old WB, but the resemblance was still there. Back to God Valley: Roger took the 1 year old baby Shanks with him, so Garling created another clone, that looks just like Shanks, as only one year separates them. Garling was the father figure to this baby version and raises the baby to inherit his will and learn from his experience of the last 800-900 years. This would make him semi immortal and would expain, why he is considered special among the CD(executed Mjosgard) and has the title of Holy Knights Commander. He is also not wearing any space suit on God Valley just like Saturn, although God Valey is not on the redline. Theorizing further: * The oldest Garling has the Clone Clone no mi and is the commander of the holy knights and serves as the judiciary and executive of the CD * the oldest Garling never leaves Mary Joa to secure the DF * Before the oldest dies due to aging, the second oldest Garling has to eat him, to obtain the fruit. * Shanks never visited the Gorosei, it was the 38 year old Garling clone * Garlings clones were the reason for VP and Vinsmoke to research on cloning, just like Kizaru was the root for the laser beam research Before you think: Garling and Shanks don’t look the same. Shanks appearance has drastically changed within the manga. The 39 year old version we know fits really good to the young Garling in God Valley. IMHO even better than 27 year old Shanks version (Foosha Village) I might be totally wrong like most one piece theories, but sharing those thoughts is just fun and once again an amazing chapter from Oda.

While I think it is more obvious of Jinny being the mother of Bonny (Oda and his similar names for the family again) there is one thing that broke my heart when thinking about the last page: Ivankov and Kuma knew each other for so long. Jinny being Iva's sister (If not biologically, they at least treat each other like it). When Iva faced Kuma at Marine Fort...seing what happen to his comrade, what happend to his friend, what happend to his brother in law perhaps? How close they must have been over the years and the confrontation of his friend being just gone. It just hurts to think about.

Also, Bonney has shown tremendous physical strength and durability being Kicked through the frontier dome. KICKED BY KIZARU and Falling from the Sky island and still fighting. Her body is durable like a Buccaneer but looks human. So being 1/4 Buccaneer is how she's so strong. Kuma 1/2 Buccaneer da daddy and Ginny full human is Da mama.

My theory regarding the Rocks Pirates is that they were gathering supplies on God Valley when the celestial dragons showed up. And because they saw the opportunity to to take one of the dragons hostage and get a hefty ransom for him, they attacked the celestial dragons. The Marine (vice) admiral Garp gets called to protect the dragons. Garp, with his son Dragon still with the marines at this point, calls his childhood friend Roger, if he wants to help them out save the island. After discovering that the celestial dragons hunt humans for fun, Garp resigns/denounces the title of admiral, Dragon forms the Revolutionary Army with a bunch of former slaves and Roger starts his journey to laugh tale to topple the government this way

there are 6 treasure chests in the chapter as prizes for the tenryubitos, soo is quite possible that 5 are devil fruits, like the gura gura, paw paw, hormone hormone and fish fish, and one is a baby tenryubitto, or in the chaos one of them put shanks in a chest for protection, oda is giving us the pieces, we just need to end the puzzle

In chapter 1086, Ivan said the Imu might be immortal due to immortality devil fruit (Ope Ope No Mi). So I think the Gorosei made slaves or other powerful individuals perform the immortality ability on them as well. That's most likely why the are immortal

I think we are downplaying Sanji a bit here. His eyebrows are in their normal position, so I can see them flipping, somehow causing him to bust out and possibly have some feats trying to take on Saturn/protect the crew from Saturn. But I guess it depends on how quick Kuma gets to Egghead. If he ends up showing up in Egghead immediately after the flashback, and the Strawhats get away within the same chapter/a couple chapters, then we probably won’t see that. Also, I thought that maybe the group confronting Saturn were stuck due to the magnetic shoes that Shaka gave them with their outfit change when they first landed, and that maybe York broke free and killed Edison and put the command upstairs to do that. But it’s only their feet that get locked to the floor, it wouldn’t cause all their muscles to be frozen. (But I feel as though that plot point has to show back up in the story, or else there wasn’t really a reason to show it.)

Ginny ist obviously Bonney's mom. The name, the character design, the fact that it is a Kuma flashback and not a Dragon flashback... I think it is very unlikely that she is Luffy's mom.
