Are you going to “black” the recessed areas that aren’t glass on the sides, think it would look nice with an all black vs the areas of green around the small windows and the non glass panel on the offside

Loving the van build series so far. We are currently in the south of France in our LWB Boxer we converted. If you still have the option, I couldn't recommend strongly enough that you guys put a ceiling fan of some description in. Opening windows are a great option but to circulate the air in or out a fan is essential and in hotter climates, especially with a little one will make life much more comfortable. The fan bringing in cool air a total game changer. Keep up the good work

I agree, something needs to be done around the small windows maybe a logo or even a fake window it does look slightly odd ... so

Need to add gloss black wrap around the small windows to make them blend in a bit more. But other than that I’m sure you will have a great time in this amazing van.

Van looks great, Portland is one of my favourite places. We stayed at Sweet Hill Farm "nearly wild" camping and it was great 👍

Hi guys yes the glass does look good , however the glass behind the sliding door doesn't have the right curveture , sticking out a bit too much at the top right hand side, sorry guys just a eagle eyed windscreen technician, great vlogs , live the dream

That's a lot of glass😉...on a dark van, you are going to have fun with the DVLA as they do like 'van with windows '. If you can't get motorcaravan change, then weight over 3500kg will cause a few problems ☹️

Yeah I’m not even going to attempt that at the moment. A lot of people fit the criteria and still don’t get it changed to MotorCaravan. 🤷‍♀️

@@ABusAndBeyond you would need to wait until it's totally finished. But if you can't get it changed then you could almost be stuck in a hgv position. You should be able to do it, but we are having problems with a van with similar glass.

Yeah we might do. But it’s so dark anyway I’m not sure how noticeable it’d be! Something to consider though?

That rear window needs to be full size with the small opening (so you still only have to cut the same size hole). Im not a fan of the small windows on a large panel as they always look like an afterthought. Time for the company in Turkey who make these to step things up.

@@ABusAndBeyond we are in Grubhof now, great site but no Gondolas to the top on the mountain so we biked it all the way! Bit steep but we made it with e-bikes. We would not of known about the site if it wasn’t for you two coming here, so thanks.

You could’ve done that yourself seeing as you did the hard job of cutting into your van for the skylight 😬😬😬 You can really see how big your van is when you’ve got two big sections behind the sliding door! What a difference!

hmm i would have kept the lines with full panel frame window even with small inset window opening but i suppose it could look too minibus like

It’s a Maxxair SkyMaxx but I can’t recommend it unfortunately. It doesn’t seal very well and rattles if you don’t force something into the handle. I’m not sure what other branded ones are like but maybe try one from Heki instead

Only do "stock van" windows. Ive got an ex ambulance i need opening windows for, nobobody does anything i need 😭😭
