My therapists second cousin is the actress who played Lavagirl. My mom sings Sharkboy's lullaby to herself when she can't sleep because I used to watch it so much as a kid, and my mom told my therapist, who told her cousin. Lavagirl knows my mother sings Sharkboy's lullaby to herself when she can't sleep

Robert Rodriguez said this entire movie is based on his sons dreams, so the scene where Max is almost killed by his giant parents in such a incidental and nonchalant way has always seemed somewhat concerning to me.

i remember dragging my mom to see this movie with me in 3d and unironically turning to her halfway through and apologizing for making her watch it. She laughed so hard we were almost escorted out. always fun family memory we bring up.
