Good idea. Gotta use every available square inch in these trailers.

Yes! In 20 feet - even a 5” cubby brings value!

Hi! Yes he is! It works well - I like to come up with ways to use his talent, and he gets to implement it haha. Thanks for watching!

Really have enjoyed your videos. Our favorite mods have been the pop socket and stabilizers. We incorporated both of them to our 2023 geo pro fds. We used a 8 dollar sliding glass door lock to hold the bathroom door during travel.

Thank you! Much appreciated :). Great idea on the door lock! Glad you have been able to use some of the mods. This is our first trip with the pop socket and find it much more helpful than we even thought it would be. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

@@WinesPinesandCanines we are well! We are in Florida… been up to Virginia back in May… and down to Key Largo several times this year with the RV…. Back in March we flew to WA and have another trip planned there in August…. Great to see you!

Sounds like you are keeping busy! We are done until fall. Heat is too hard on Desi with his heart and it is definitely hot out there!

Hahaha! We thought it was a cute idea for the campsite but using them in this trip, we found that they also help with the stairs. Many times the stairs are just a bit off the ground and we can’t adjust them any further. The shoes are helping give a little cushion on the concrete and make them feel more stable.

That is awesome. It may be small, but it’s perfect for a few extra. Every little bit helps; especially in a small space. It looks really profession in its finish.

Thank you. We are happy with it - needs a bit more finish work but it’s a camper - there is always something haha! Hope the family is doing well!!

Not related, but do you have a cover for your front window on the camper? Debating buying or making one and you’re my go to for DIY😊

Hi! Sorry for the late response - been doing a little traveling. We do not have a cover. Have seen a few sold commercially that people are very happy with and have seen a few DIY. It is something we have thought about though - especially before our next big trip. But for now, Desi is done traveling for the summer as heat/humidity is too much for him with the heart condition - so this may be a fall project. Have also seen a company that sells a thicker window film that you can customize with pictures…. That might be what we look to do - would be nice to add some art work to the front!

Awesome job! And thanks for the shout out and the standing ovation! 😂😂 As usual you took the project in a little different direction and with more attention to detail. I’m very happy with ours but I like what you did too. It’s another option I hadn’t seen before and looks professional.

Thank you for taking the time to send us the pictures and give us some guidance!! We love this mod - what we did works great for us but we have seen so many different things that others have done that work for the. That is the best thing about this space - everyone can customize it a bit! Hope you guys are doing well! Getting VERY warm on this side of the country and we are getting hit with the smoke from the Canada wildfires. So not fun being outside this weekend! Have a Happy 4th!

@@WinesPinesandCanines thanks! Happy 4th to you too! Just starting to feel like summer here. Only the 2nd day in the 90s. Had no idea the Canada smoke had traveled that far south! Stay safe and cool!

Interesting mod! I'm guessing you got the idea from the time you had to repair the microwave mount? Cody and I are about to hit the road on a three week trip through Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and the Dakotas. Should be interesting to see how he handles being on the road for that long. He did okay on the 8 day trip west back in March. I went ahead and added two additional batteries to my system, for a total of 420 amp hours. That should solve my power issues once and for all. In other news, I traded in the Mountaineer on an F-150 with the 5.0 V-8. Might be overkill for a GeoPro, but it beats holding my breath going up the mountains in Colorado! And the 36 gallon tank is nice, too.

Evening! So first - that sounds like a great trip. If you find some amazing boondocking spots, would love to know. Making lists for one day when we can make our way back out west. That battery set up with the larger inverter should be a great setup. Look forward to hearing the details. And bet Cody will have a great time. Desi likes the longer trips better than the shorter ones - think he settles in! And agree on the truck - the Tundra doesn’t even know the camper is back there so having that 5.0 V-8 should be a nice upgrade! And I do envy the 36 gallon tank. The tundra is 26 and hate stopping 2-3 times a day. So we have eyed this spot since we bought the camper. We did a video a few years ago where we went looking behind all the panels to see what space is there. But at the time, we just didn’t want to mess with the wires. But, over the last year a few others online have done it and we figured it would solve some of our needs. We have plenty of room for most things but wanted somewhere to store those quick to grab items and this space worked perfect. So, we took the plunge lol. It took us longer than any other mod but came out pretty much like we hoped! Have a great trip and safe travels!

I love you two. I have paid a lot of attention to what people have done with that spot, and loved each mod. But, I always wondered about the door so it gave me pause. I really do like the cubby idea and am going to show the video to my son. He is the one that makes my mod dreams a reality. The next spot I am thinking about is behind the television. Is that spot in your future?
@WinesPinesandCanines
@WinesPinesandCanines Год назад
Thank you Janice - very appreciated :). And we love the no door. We just want to be able to easily hang up stuff, grab stuff… and the door was just going to get in our way. But it does make us keep the space a little neater than if their was a door haha. Finding the baskets that squeeze into that space helped. If your son has questions, feel free to reach out. This was a longer project - probably the most time consuming we have done. Could have made the video twice as long haha! But, nothing was too complicated. Just difficult to work in the space! And yes - we are looking at that space as we never use the radio. But will be fall as Desi cant take the heat/humidity any more and we cant leave him to work on it (its at a storage unit). But gives us some time to plan lol.

@@WinesPinesandCanines , I think it's possible to keep the radio if you choose to do so. I think I will have my son eliminate the outside speaker when he is working on that area. I don't was to 'entertain' my neighbors. Besides that, I think a Bluetooth speaker would do very well for outside music if the need should arise
@health101DOTorg
@health101DOTorg Год назад
I'll be deleting the cabinet below where the speakers and radio are, moving the inverter near the furnace (where it should have been in the first place), and putting a 34" wide desk there. Then that area above will be made into a cabinet, with doors on it.

Great job! But my question would be: Since Rockwood is usually good about making use of every square inch of space, how did they miss the boat on this one! They could have run all those wires in the fridge compartment instead. Granted, the Geo Pro is a little less wide than its bigger cousins like the 2109S (which has a factory-built closet there), but as you demonstrated, there is a goodly amount of usable space there! Shame, shame Rockwood! (Or is Forest River to blame?)
@WinesPinesandCanines
@WinesPinesandCanines Год назад
Do not disagree! I think it is easier for them to just leave a big space and not have to worry about working around wires…. But would be nice if we see a mod like this pop up in an upcoming year! It is a great space for coats and shoes as it is right at the door. Thanks for watching!
@daveburley7115

I’m going to guess that this is an absorption fridge and that the wire couldn’t be run in the fridge cavity because it has to be sealed due to the gas operation of the stove.
