The Master Chief, Arbiter and Cortana head for the partially incomplete installation 08 shortly after escaping High Charity's destruction, where they are joined by Sergeant johnson.
The trio are then forced to fight their way through massive waves of Flood forms sent by the Gravemind to stop them from firing the ring....and destroying the Flood once and for all....

Arbiter is just tired...having to destroy one of the rings that you worshiped mere months ago would probably do that to anyone....not to mention the Flood

Halo CE ended with Chief destroying a ring....and 3 ended with him lighting another one.We've definitely come full circle.God I love this trilogy so much!

Its going to be hard to play another Halo 3 mod after this one....I don't know why but this one playthrough felt "Special"

@@pvt.jonwallace Mythic has done a fantastic job with this mod for both Halo reach and 3.I think he has recently announced another mythic overhaul mod for ODST as well.

@@pvt.jonwallace In any case.....there are also some other fantastic mods for Halo 3 that I think you would enjoy as well.One of them in particular is the "Vannity's Halo 3 campaign overhaul 4.0".The only problem I have with this mod is the bullet spongy-ness of the enemies....particularly the brutes who can somehow tank 3 sniper shots to the head.

Bringing the MCC on steam and being able as a PC player to finish the legendary trilogy is enough to make a grown man shed tears. What a superb ending with Halo 3. But dear God, then I found out mods exist for Halo games. Mythic Overhaul, SPV3.3... The 1.0 version for Halo 3 was amazing but somehow MythicJaqui made this one even better ??! Unbelievable.

My guess is that since the Flood liquified all internal organs during the transformation, a normal bodyshot didnt terminate that combat form. If I had hit the infection form on the other hand...
