There is nothing like teaching your children to fish. I was fortunate to bring my children up as a single parent. We lived in Sydney Australia where we caught Bass, freshwater mullet and eel tailed catfish.from the Hawksbery river. Flat head, whiting and some fish we had never seen before from the bay. Those days go by so fast , so enjoy them , cherish them and watch your children do the same with your grandchildren.

Been watching you and your brother Rob do great things all these years. I’m down this week in Ft Lauderdale for the first time and booked a local head boat drift fishing trip for my family this Thursday. I had explained on the other tilefish video that the jiggly fin on the tile fish is a survival tool. It's like the soft fin on the back of salmons. The adipose fin is used to sense movement and sound in the water.

Hey gabe. This is Chris we met a while back when I was in Jupiter getting sardines for a tournament. The flap on the golden tilefish is belived to be a fat “pouch”. Kind of like a camels hum but instead of storing water and fat we believe it stores fat so they can go very long without eating. Ps. I was the one that kept telling you and your brother to eat remora and I was the one everyone laughed at because I said it tastes like Cobia if not better

I love watching you and your family fishing and hunting I also appreciate how much love you give to your friends. Most Jamaicans love to prepare and eat fish. The difference is if you fillet a fish and give it to a hardcore fish eater he might malice you for life. I love my snapper fried crispy with some festivals and bammy or steamed with some Jasmine rice. Thank you for another fun video.

I asked the long liners who catch 15,000 pounds of tilefish on a 7-8 day trip what the wiggly thing on top of fish was for and even they had no idea. I think it might be used in breeding/attracting .

Way cool on your gar video response. This could be your - "manatee drinking water" video that sets you up. You need to take Kelly girl back to the Bahamas. And swimming with her shark. Sorry forgot the name ( I know it's famous). I am enjoying, watching you two grow. It's almost like your brother but not. You both bring a different flare. Regarding the glove... I've cut myself just about as bad as Gabe did 5 years ago, two layers of stitches, severed nerves and almost cut through a tendon. I don't clean 1% the number of fish that Gabe does, but I try to remember to always have my glove around. The problem is I only own one, and half the time I forget to pack it, a problem I could easily solve by remembering to buy second glove for the tackle bag.

Hey gabe, me again, I was wondering if you can show us again sometime how you rigged those two j hooks? I saw that you put one in the back and you put one in the mouth, but how were they on the line, and when you held it up before you baited it, it looked like you had one of the hooks going through the eye of the other hook, but then when you baited it obviously it wasn't that way. And then when you did it you just kind of did it so quick I rewounded a couple times but I still didn't get it. I'm super brand new to all this stuff and I might ask stupid questions from time to time, but that's the only way I'm going to learn it. All my life I wanted to have some kind of career either around deep sea fishing or fishing in general, and I see a lot of you people earning a living this way and loving what you do. I'm not saying it's not hard work, everything you do to make it good you have to put time in I understand that, I just have a dream to do what you guys are doing, and try to make something of a living out of it if possible.
