We found Kittens trapped under our house! The kittens are doing well and are with their mommy. We will keep and eye our and rescue them when they are a little older. We think the mom is a feral cat.

Kitten update: We returned the babies under our deck, so they are no longer in our crawl space. The mama returned to the kittens and took all of them to a new place. We are unsure where she may have taken the kittens but we know they are safe with mom. If we see the kittens later on, and they are weaned off of their mama, we will take them to the SPCA to be neutered and spayed, and find a happy home for them, possibly foster them until then! We are very certain the mom is feral because of her behavior and the way she presents, or doesn’t present herself to humans. Due to that, we have been advised not rescue the mama because she may not be able to ever socialize with humans and we would not want a shelter to put her down. We have left food and water out to help the mama while she feeds and takes care of her babies! We will keep you all posted! Thanks for watching! 🤗

I actually helped a feral who was friendly and she had kittens. These babies are less than 2weeks old. ( The stage of learning and growing is super fast with kittens. Each week it’s several things that develop. Week 2-3 they usually open their eyes.). I’m glad to see you found them and returned them to mama. Mamas will come back unless they are injured or died by a vehicle. Kittens usually eat every 30 mins and should never be handled to put your human scent all over them. This may discourage the regrouping with mamma. Thank you for taking care of them and allowing mama the option to come back and take care of her family. Love your vlogs. Keep safe guys.

you guys should consider finding someone to trap, neuter and release (TNR) the mama cat so she doesn’t make more kittens but can stay feral like she wants.

Yep! We experienced this. The kittens will grow up and have kittens of their own. They need to get rid of them while they can or they will have lots of cats!

Jasmin Royal well cats are an invasive species and too many strays harms local wildlife. Killing the strays is wrong but neutering isn’t :)

@Jasmin Royal, what are you talking about? We have a catch and release here to help keep the population under control. The cats can remain feral, but they can't reproduce. It's better for the cats. Don't you think there are enough poor, starving, abused animals in the world? Why would you want to continue adding to that problem?

I have been fostering and taking care of feral mother cats and their babies for about 4 years now! The mother cat tends to always move her babies to where she feels "safe", but since she had them at your house, she will more than likely always move them somewhere within the vicinity of your home, (Ex: our feral cat had her babies in a bush on the side of our house). The babies are able to be weaned off from mama at 8 weeks. Right now we have a batch of 7 week old babies and another batch of 2 week old babies. It would be best to trap the mother when she's done breastfeeding her babies so that she can get spayed and there will be no more surprise babies! Thank you for being so kind and taking care of these precious creatures, Cole and Charisma!

Awh!! I rescued my Tash a couple months ago outside my house. Make sure they have warm they can't stay warm on their own, when they get bigger they will move away from warmth on their own. I used hot water bottles wrap up and put under their bedding. Very important. Keep one!!!!

I was always a dog person until I found kittens in my shed this summer. I have made shelters for them and they are still with me, eating and growing healthier every day. Needless to say I have fallen in love with them :-)

Charisma, I had a fear of cats growing up and just didn’t like them. 15 years ago we adopted Boots the best cat ever. I’m still not a major fan but do appreciate and understand them better. They are such smart animals! Thanks for sharing and helping the kittens.

I also had a gigantic fear of cats (animals in general) and many were the times I almost died trying to run from them. Last year I decided to adopt a cat, after being in contact with my uncle's cat for almost two months. I LOVE my dear Merlin and can't live without him, but I'm still very much afraid of other cats, dogs and so on.

Thankfully, you did the right thing by returning them to the Momma cat. She can take better care of them. I was very bothered by the sight of you trying to force feed the babies. First, they are not human babies. Do NOT feed them laying on their backs. That is not how they nurse. Second, unless you edited out their crying, don't feed them unless they are awake and crying. Third, after feeding, take a wet wash cloth and wipe their bottoms, simulating the Mom licking. It helps them to evacuate. This is a very important step that most people don't do which can add to complications and death for the babies. Unless you know for a fact that the mother won't be returning, just leave the babies in a safe place where she can find them! Thank you for caring for them in the mean time.

I own a cat rescue, been taking in feral mama cats and their babies. Once the kittens are weaned would recommend having mama kitty spayed. There are many animals rescue groups or vet's can refer to you. Mommy kitty once spayed can be released back into your area. Just provide a safe spot from heat and cold weather. Provide food, water and bedding.

Great news the mama came back and just for future reference, its never good to handle the babies at all because the mamas have been known to neglect the ones that have other scents on them.. She may not be feral but may present that way due to maternal instincts and alertness for other predators and the foreign human smell on them....I am a Vet Tech. I have years of this experience as well.. Always take the mom with the kittens so she can get treated as well . We have done catch and release of many feral cats, just for care and spayed/neuter . they need to stay with her for at least 6 to 8 weeks while weaning off her to food. As always love yall

@@chromeo3945They need to nurse every 2-3 hours and not cow milk. It needs to be a replacer, special kitten formula with a dropper.. If you need to handle them use a face cloth dry . or gloves to check them... ;)

We had kittens get stuck under our house and one got stuck in a pipe, we could not reach her. We ended up calling the fire department who had to go under and did along the pipe and cut it open. Kitty is happy and healthy to this day. 😊😊

Somebody left a Mom and her four babies by our backdoor. We adopted them all and they brought out my humanity. I didn't have kids but I raised those babies, loved them and gave them a wonderful life. The last one died last year but they all lived over 14 years. I have now adopted five more and they make me smile everyday. I have dogs and a husband too. 🐈

I love Cole's voice over and it is always wonderful to see Kelly Momma and Mama 🐱 Cat. Cats are fun and independent. Cats basically can take care of themselves. All you have to do is buy food and change the cat box. There not that much trouble but if you can't we understand.

Thanks so much for looking after the kittens and not removing them from their Mummy! Can't wait for the follow up! I never liked cats either until my son moved back into the family home after a break up and begged me to let him get a ragdoll cat the rest is history! I fell so in love that when my son moved out again he let me keep the cat.Hes now 5 years old,loves to snuggle next to me,greets us at the door and loves playing hide and seek!!He has so much personality,mind he is only a house cat.If he goes in the garden he goes on a leash,dogs don't bother him he just approaches our neighbours dog as a plaything.They certainly bring their love with them!!

Thank goodness mama came! Kittens that age are so complex to keep alive. They usually don't make it without mama. Its takes a lot just to care for one...they are common to failed to thrive without mom. Unlike puppies.
