Nasi lemak tu memang serupa macam di Malaysia. Balance portion of timun, kacang, ikan bilis, telur rebus potong 2 dan that sambal, dark red, thick sambal. Perghhh....

That's the exact facial expression from Rachel when all of the taste of curries, the spices all mixed together in one spoon. Kuah banjir is a must!! Even grandpa likes it. Rachel is right, you guys were teleported back to Malaysia in just 1 bite.

We tried Curry Leaves Bistro over the weekend after seeing the video and it did not disappoint. Hands down, the best Malaysian restaurant food we’ve had in the Bay Area and we have tried a lot! The menu was small but perfectly focused. There was a line out the door at opening but they handled it very well and the food came very quickly once we ordered. We’ll be back very often even though it’s a good 40 minutes from home for us.

Yeah. It's a miracle for those eating only American food for years but for those visiting the United States for the first time, you should eat American food first because we can't always expect Malaysian food to be there all the time!

Kuih momo/makmur is good and really easy to make. You guys just need 4 ingredient, which are a tin of ghee, a bag of flour, some milk power and some icing power,If you guys wanna make it by yourself.

☑️ Nasi Ulam Kedah. ☑️ Nasi Kandar Penang. What's next? Additional info for us: KANDAR means to carry a bundle of items using a rod, and on top of our shoulder, look like ⚖️ . As far as I know, the old-classic nasi kandar is sold by road hawker that bring all the nasi and lauk in that "kandar" style, thus the name: NASI KANDAR.

Logesh and Rachel, I am happy to see you both so crazy happy over Nasi Kandar. And yes, Rachel, you're right about Malaysian, time and food. We are always late for meetings, appointments, and sometimes even dates, but never ever late for food 😂. BTW guys, in Sarawak we refer to kuih makmur as kuih momo. Amazing isn't it, two names for the same dessert 😀
