We're renovating another Queenslander, except this time it's for us! Follow along as we renovate and restore this triple gable Queenslander to it's former glory.
Episode 5 is full of highs and lows. We get our plumber, electrician and carpenter organised, begin preparing the wood floors to be sanded and we also find live termites/white ants...#renolife.

I found asbestos in mine. Half of my house lost all the interior walls and ceilings so I understand how frustrating setbacks are. I’m learning how to replace these and I feel good about overcoming and knowing that I have done the work....well I have the materials and eve if my walls end up looking unique it’s just another part of my character shining through lol.

Heya mate, I have tried to find it in the videos without luck. With the bathroom, did you sheet the floor with villaboard before waterproofing as well as the walls?

Hey mate. The sheeting of the bathroom walls is at around 3.30 of episode 9. We used james hardie secura (direct stick, I.e. no mortar bed required) for the flooring and villaboard for the walls. All professionally waterproofed and certified. Then tiled ourselves. Good luck with your reno! Let me know if you have any other questions

@@lukewiles1 Noice. We are thinking of trying to have a walk-in in shower so trying to figure out how to set up the floor. We might board the floor, waterproof, screed to meet the level of the shower tile tray, and then tile. Planning is tough 😅
