exactly, thats what we do, we put it immediately in the vehicle , so if you get approached your already loaded. The key is to be FAST And If you are approached you dont say much to them ( no need to explain anything to them ) and just leave real quick , leaving them standing there, and then come back in a few hours and make sure its before the loader truck comes and takes it, thats usually around 1 to 4 am .
A little because I live in a different country and I don't know if it is legal or not. It should be illegal for shops to dump all these things since most is in date and nothing wrong with most of the items. It blows my mind that this happens at all.
Michelle Persinger I agree. If you have a place to store these items they would be great for Toys for Tots. The Candy too. Some churches make boxes for kids too. The military guys and gals would go crazy over a box of candy. I’m so glad you saved that stuff from going to the landfill.
Expiration udates do not mean they are bad, The dates on there are in accordance with FDA Stores have to follow expiration dates, but they are still okay to eat.

@@realdeal1841 exactly , the wiffle ball bats were not planted for someone to pick up later , they were tossed, seen it a million times , they toss all types of inventory so they can put more because they have limited space inside the building , and new products take the place . All it takes is a manager getting a email from corporate to discontinue any item they see not selling etc etc , and its in the dumpster it goes, No thoughts whatsoever, this is how the cut throat corporate business world of retail works. Its Just about more money to be made , forget about what the old Brand new products that ae thrown away could be used for , or donated to etc etc.
@@leilanilogan40 I was just picking up on that. They are the reason I don’t shop eBay anymore cause it’s full of dumpster dive stuff with tags still on so you know it was never washed or anything. 🤢
alice lynema Right because you have proof that all that stuff came from dumpster diving. Plus, you can't just was the clothing yourself. I mean even if you get it from a store your supposed to remove the tags and wash it but you clearly are incapable of doing aren't you?
Ok, so let me explain what is going on with the “stash” . The dumpster for the store is considered a part of the store. An employee can not remove anything from the dumpster for themselves no more than they can remove anything from the store for themselves. In either case it is considered theft and an employee would not only be immediately terminated, but could quite possibly face criminal charges. Floor space in national chain stores is actually planned as to how much each square foot earns and they come up with an average earning potential for the entire store. I know this from working for Office Depot Corporate in South Florida. They actually use AutoCad to layout each store. So if a line of merchandisers is out of season, they often throw it away. That explains the whiffle bats and balls. The other candy is either slow moving or new stock comes in and they rotate the old stock out. There can be any number of reasons. The value of an item is viewed differently by a retail operation than it is by a consumer. Also be aware that consumers are sticklers for expiration dates.
Same thing just happened at my CVS! It was full to the top with just stuff. We filled my fiancé’s truck bed and back seat, it was crazy. I was in there for over an hour and still couldn’t get everything, thankfully another diver came by! Love your videos!

Employees can probably have whatever, its a tag line for the video, im sure the store is closed, so no employees. So He can describe all the goodies in detail.
Hi there, just a helpful tip. Grab and put it in your car, as you get stuff. Don't wait around. Once the stuff is in your car, you own it. If its not and you get caught with it, you will have to put it back and possibly get charged with theft. If you want to go through it, do it at home.
When the bag says “Mark for damage”, it means to mark the product as damaged in the computer. That way, the company isn’t responsible for the cost of what is thrown out. The Hello Kitty and bandanas were clearanced down to the max amount because they were summer products.

I am a 1980s dumpster diver. Sister and I was diving grocery store bins when I was 12 both of us were welfare kids. Sister and I wrote down weekly schedules when things were tossed out. We never went hungry and normally what we had left over would give it to homeless. Mondays was bread donuts bakery stuff. Wednesday was produce stuff and Thursday Friday yogurt dairy butter eggs cheese milk. we only took the dairy when it was below 50 Degrees out unless it was still cold. a lot of it was thrown out that night when the stores closed.
Donate to senior centers there’s a lot of us that don’t have money for that kind of stuff we can only buy just the food or pantries people don’t have anything in your car always remember about others you’re doing a great job don’t just keep everything for you all
The filling is nutella they come from the same maker! Brand, name, and mix! By far my favorite chocolate and wafer bar. If you ever get to try the ones shipped to Mexico they are made with a higher % of cocoa and are AMAZING!! My hubby and I can eat them until we are sick!

Just one question though, Where do you store all the stuff you get from dumpster? Sweets and stuff like that won't be around for long anyway. I worked for Bath & Body during a summer and we weren’t allowed to take anything delegated for the trash. There was some amazing decor they used for display too. It was impossible to send friends to pick though the trash since the police & security didn’t allow people back there.

I would live a mystery box of candy or anything really lol. I have tried to dumpster dive here where I live and it is frowned upon. I got away with it the first couple times I got caught bc it was different cops but the third time I almost got ticketed. I find it stupid it’s illegal if it’s thrown away it should be free range
Then you're in an area that's the exception. In most areas, it's salvage. The trash company just hauls away the stuff and dumps it in a city dump or landfill that they DON'T own. So they don't own the trash!
You do realize that stuff does not instantly turn rotten on that expiration day right? Eventually its quality might decline but it won't make you sick.
Yes it might eventually be stale, but have you ever seen the videos of guys opening up army rations from like 20 years ago and a lot of the food is still good!
We found the same thing DD. 4 bags of Candy bars..Hersheys, Butterfingers, M&M"s, Reeses's ect. So much Cand we filled a LARGE Tote. We're gonna give for Halloween candy I'm thinking!
Feel a little bit sorry for the employee that was very "Obviously" gonna go grab that stuff and take it home later but thats just the luck if the draw and how the cookie or should i say "candy" crumbles 😉 lol 🤣😂 They should have gotten there earlier 🤷♀️ makes no sence to have not gone and grabbed it almost straight away if you ask me!!! @@LGAussie I worked in retail at Kohl's for a year and they don't pay their employees more than minimum wage. All of us would love to have a chance at stuff they threw away. Unfortunately we were not allowed. I did know several employees who stole right from the store and I was shocked to hear them talking about it like it was no big deal. To be honest most of them were struggling college kids but I was taught that if it's not yours don't take it and if you can't afford it then save your money up for it. I was definitely not a fan of my thieving co-workers.

Employees arent allowed to take anything. Most all divers are more interested in makeing videos than getting the goods and going. They can stage the stuff later and give descriptions. Got to show how clever they are.
Last year, I found two dollars in the street, and then just a few months later. I found about 17 one dollar bills all scattered at the top of the stairs of where I live, lol, u would have never seen anyone pick up anything faster than I was when I found that money. Always be on the lookout.
