We have talked to Chestnut Hill about her, and the distance from our farms vs where this peahen was found(60+ miles), and add that she cannot see or fly, makes us and them pretty confident this is not their missing peahen. ❤

If a bird cannot see it will not fly. Any bird. They will never know if they are going to fly into a tree or anything else.

Albonism can cause blindness and deafness as well as other congenital problems ...maybe the white peacock distribution system has sent this little girl your way as there was zero chance of a blind white peacock surviving on her own. I am glad she made it into the loving arms of Cog Hill Farm!

We were given a purebred Australian Shepherd who was born with Lethal White. She was deaf and near blind but she followed our old dog and learned how to hit the glass door with her paw when she needed to go potty, she positioned herself for her best eye to see you and she watched hands intently, quickly learning hand signals. Her favorite game was hide and seek with the kids. We loved her for 17 years, she was one of our best dog's ever. Daisy, we loved you! 🌼

Poor thing. I would guess someone dropped her off. Like someone did to Ms. Dee Dee. She is so tired. I am so glad you have her and can take care of her for the rest of her life. I think this is the work of God and some Angels to help get her to the best place on earth.

If she was born that way she has never known any difference. There for it is not likely she is afraid. Just unsure of where to find her next meal probably. But usually there other senses developed a bit stronger and being in a pen now it will make life easier. ❤

I rescued a albino turtle over 10 yrs ago. She is partially blind, however the former owner had a 100 watt light bulb on her 24 / 7 an the vet said that the light most likely contributed to her being blind. She is 23 yrs old an thriving. Your P hen is so beautiful. I'm sure you all will get her healthy and thriving in a very short time.

At least now we know that she can hear, thank God for that. Her grooming herself is great news and she does eat and drink so that is good news as well so maybe she just needs a little TLC and she needs to be kept in a safe place moving forward. I would definitely take her to the vet to have her checked out healthwise. She is a beautiful girl and she is so lucky to be part of your family now.❤❤❤❤

Well I’ve always said animals that get the pleasure of finding their way to your farm have found heaven on earth. This new pea hen has no idea how lucky she is because all of you will go to the max to make sure she is loved and cared for to the very best of your ability!! It’s amazing she found her way to a human from where ever she came from and didn’t fall prey to a predator. She may have been shunned from her other flock. She looks like she has been through a journey but really heathy otherwise! She’s definately found the right people to rescue her!

I do hope that miss Snowwhite has a happy life with ya'll. A gentle wind chime over her feeding/watering station will help her orient quickly to he new home. Keeping her out of direct sunshine will help save any residual sight she may have.
