In today's vlog we head to Disney's Hollywood Studios to ride Rise of the Resistance and check out the rider swap procedures. We also wanted to try the new hot dogs from Fairfax Faire, so many of you messaged us and asked us to try them, you know how much we love a good hot dog! They even have a hot dog salad, so of course we had to give that a try! We end the day with a look at the new Cruella merch and new summertime merch! We had so much fun today at Hollywood Studios and we couldn't believe just how different our experiences were on Rise of the Resistance in Galaxy's Edge. Has that ever happened to you? That pickled salad is available at grocery stores so you can have it at home it's called "giardiniera" it is usually in the pickle or condiment aisle

I love child swap at Disney parks! The room at universal is great, but you have to wait in line with the kiddo. I love that at Disney I can take our toddler to a dark ride or walk around with freedom while I wait for my husband to switch with me. I prefer the flexibility. I love that you guys are doing Child Swap now though- it’s such a great way to enjoy the parks as a whole family!!

First time I went on this ride I got yelled at for “trying to escape” cus I thought he called us to go in the prison cell next but I wasn’t and also my hair was pink at the time and he said “must be the pink dye going to my brain”. I DIED 😂

We rode Rise twice in May, the first time we have Tim’s experience and left thinking the ride was just ok. Then four days later we rode it and got to see the whole experience and we had goosebumps and were so excited that it was so good! So not very consistent

Hey Jen, love you guys, I noticed Jackson’s grapes were whole, I recommend slicing them up just in case. I’ve heard some scary stories of choking. (Only looking out, you are amazing parents and it’s impossible to catch all the things for kids b/c I certainly didn’t think about that until someone told me too! Also sorry if you usually do it already or if I didn’t see correctly!) again love you guys!

OMG I WAS GOING TO COMMENT THE SAME!! My daughter was three years old and eating whole grapes and choked it was the scariest experience so anytime I see a toddler eating whole grapes I always panic. always cut your grapes and a half or fourths!

I work attractions at WDW and Tim not going through the preshows has to do with technical difficulties, not the ECVs. WDW is incredibly accessible and I’ve been in the preshows with wheelchairs/ecvs

Little buddy is too young to eat them whole and they're a huge chocking hazard! You may not know, being new parents and all. But grapes are a super choaking hazard. They are the exact size of a child's throat. And once they get stuck it is very hard to remove them. Cut them length ways and enjoy 😉

I went back in January and Rise of The Resistance had all of the pre-shows. You were told to stand on a marker in each room that was separated by pexiglass.

Good Tim wasn't a first time rider on ROR he would have really been disappointed how it started off thankfully my first ride wasn't like that we got the whole experience and it was amazing. Gotta love Jen's "what the heck, are you rubbing it in!?" about Tim loving his hot dog.....lol🤣

@@jschannel7685 This comme t makes it sound like you've seen it on several occasions. I don't watch every video, so I have no idea if there are multiple occurrences. But cutting grapes up is definitely not something I would instinctively think of. I have a tendency to view things from an adult perspective (i.e. a big human who can both chew AND who realizes chewing is important). It's probably the same thing for them.

We had a similar experience last week. We got two Rise passes on two different days. The first day, no pre shows. Having never ridden it, we were still impressed and had no idea we missed anything. But glad we got a second pass because we had the whole experience! No plexiglass in lines, just on the transports. I guess Disney is slowly lessening restrictions

We were lucky first time trying to get on ROR we scored a ride group. I loved it ! There was a woman "interrogating " us. Someone in the line said "Dude" I want your job....she goes over and stands next time him and says. The position has been filled. We died laughing . Dudes face was so red.

You should ride Amtrak and get some scenic views from Florida to California so you can visit the Disney California Avengers Campus. You could also do a video on the Amtrak sleeper cars, etc. There are probably some of your viewers who might like to see that.

So Tim's ride is interesting. When we were there in December with my Dad's ECV, they had us go through the same cue as Jen so my Dad's ECV didn't have to do the switchbacks. Also, there were no plexiglass dividers after the stormtrooper room. It's interesting that so much has changed since we last went.

The Resistance transport ship appears to be having technical difficulties at 5:56. You can see a bunch of maintenance cast members surrounding the console. And since the Rey/BB-8 pre-show is triggered by the dispatching of the Resistance transport (which was broken) you also don’t get that pre-show.

I came to the comments to find how many parents are going to tell Jen and Tim to cut the grapes and I was not disappointed! Haha. I’m a mom to a 19 month old. Anyway, they are very informed parents. I’m sure they cut his grapes in the past and maybe they couldn’t for some reason today. I trust that they know what they’re doing!

We went to Disney about two weeks ago and I am very happy my family was able to get a boarding group for the day we went. We ended up getting like group 108, a day where they were able to go nonstop and got to 168 groups the entire day, and got the full experience. Not only that, we also got a great cast member in the prison hallway, who actually came up to me saying “We will find the location of the Rebel Base, Birthday Boy,” which was absolutely fantastic and really well done. Love the cast members who do a great job with their roles and get into it. It’s a fun experience, but I really hate the boarding group thing and that you may not even get a group, even if you do anything right. Still a fun ride, but the boarding group aspect I do not like whatsoever.

Hi, this was great. I didn't know you could rider swap on Rise of Resistance, I'm happy to know that. My sister and I can rider swap with my Service Dog, cool. We definitely going to try that next vacation. Thanks for info. In march, our ride had kylo covered in the room where he gets blown before you drop and he was riding in a ship outside on like the screens around us. It was so cool!!! I hope that makes sense

The reservations are the same with building a droid too! And the window of when you are able to book a reservation is different depending on if you are staying at a disney hotel or off property

My husband and I got to ride Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland right before everything shut down last year. It didn't occur to us to do child swap, so we each tried to ride on a different day. It was so funny- on his turn, he ran way ahead of us to get through the gates as early as possible. I followed a ways behind with our girls in the stroller. Not long after I got through the entrance gates onto Main Street, a whole bunch of people let out a big cheer while looking at their phones! I was like what the heck is going on?? It was as if everyone was watching a game and their team had just scored. What it was- of course- was everyone celebrating that they had been able to get boarding passes for Rise of the Resistance!

I wonder if the cast thought Tim was *with* the ECVs he said were in front of and behind him? That corridor seems like the sort of bypass they'd use if there's a step or switchback that the ECVs can't navigate. They may have sent him through the tunnel with them because they thought it was all one party. (Or else they might have recognized Tim, known he had seen the ride before, and thought he'd enjoy seeing the bypass as long as they were using it.... :-)

No i think the door from the ship pre ride show was stuck open as it look like someone was working on the control pannel when tim panned over to the door as he passed it

Bright Suns Tim & Jen from the "West coast" Black Spire Outpost. The color rows in the transports...Blue and Grey colors are the front rows. Red and Orange are the back rows.

Thank you so much for being so kind with meeting my family and i this day!! I know it was a bit hectic at the bathroom there but we seriously only come to Disney once every two years and the fact that you were there the same day as us was so cool!! Prior to our trip we watched so many of your videos to get excited. It was so awesome talking with you guys for a short time and you’re seriously so sweet!!

I was told by a Cast Member that you can return to ROTR at any time after your boarding group is called; your pass is valid for the remainder of the day (once your group is called). Glad to see it worked out for you!

Yup - bacta suit. Cool tidbit - doing the datapad collection game in the queue gives you some trivia about the various props. One of the items it covers is the bacta suit.

Sometimes in the morning they open without the preshow. If they usher everyone through the fastpass entrance(one on the right) they are not running the preshows yet, if they take everyone through stand by(left side on entrance) then you will experience the preshows

The pickled veggies looked like Giardiniera, which would probably be something you can find jarred at the grocery store! It’s quite common to put on sandwiches/hot dogs here in Chicago!
