I think that Yasuke is working with the assassins as an ally rather than an official member of the creed. I also think that he'll be formally inducted into the brotherhood by the end of the game as a fully-fledged assassin.

I like the idea of them going Yasuke full samurai while Naoe's the stealthy character, I wouldn't see that man stealth. I also dont really care about having a hood on Yasuke... since I really don't see him wearing one. As long as I can have good stealth, some good parkour and some cool ass outfits on Naoe, I'm good.

Why not let us pick how we want to play our character? Now we have to pic Naoe, if we like to play the stealth gameplay style. Just make 2 characters, one male one female and let us decide how we want to play the game. Imagine Naoe in full samurai gear, kicking ass!

I think if clothing is an issue then look at Syndicate. Both Jacob and Evie have different outfits. Evie cannot wear hats. Its the same thing here. Giving example of Valhalla is not great as both Evior are the same and not even have any different personality like in Odyssey Kassandra and Alexios has

My point mostly is that I hope Yasuke still has access to these iconic legacy outfits, but right now that doesn't seem to be the case (or they release them without a hood which would be weird). In Syndicate both characters had legacy outfits, but Jacob only from male Assassin's, Evie from female characters. That they both weird different things in general makes a ton of sense and is actually really cool. But I do still think that fighting enemies like Yasuke with a hood on is something I hope we see.

Well you can do both playstyles, just not with both characters. Stealth for Naoe and Combat for Yasuke. And I think that's a cool concept because otherwise the only difference between both characters would be voice acting and cosmetics.

this game get duller and duller with each new "reveal" this franchise was so unique and suprisingly accurate to history just adding very small changes for dramatic effect now it's just every action RPG this franchise is truly dead and it really hurts my soul seeing it becominng just a quick cash grab for ubisoft, ubi's downfall is sadly well deserved and this game will definitely won't save it, if anything it will be the finishing blow.

ACS literally separated the gameplay between head on encounters and stealth making you choose between one or the other. They couldn't copy Ghost 1 for 1 so they made a call. If they allow you to replay missions after you beat them that would be a welcome addition but if not I don't see how swapping from character to the other would be an enjoyable experience. Ubisoft has already disrespected the culture by copying and pasting a lot of what they see. Ghost gameplay, One Piece character art, and real life Japanese banners. As for Yasuke and his romance journey....didn't they allow players to make that choice for themselves in the past? I feel like Ubisoft is trying to please so many different people and failing in the process. Best of luck to them. I love gaming but this feels like it doesn't have a soul. Just my long winded opinion lol.

I just got Ghosts of Tsushima Directors Cut on PC and it is absolutely fantastic. Best part was that i get all the DLC and it was only 59.99 plus tax on steam.

Haven't played an assasins creed game since Origins, (which i liked a lot) just never had the time but got a better job now with loads of free time! I have a question though if it's not too much of a bother to y'all, do i have to play ac Odyssey, Valhalla and Mirage to understand the story or can I just jump right into Shadows? Other 3 games seem pretty big and time consuming because of the fact that they're all open world games. Shadows looks promising but I hope they game runs well on pc, haven't got the best rig but I've got a Rtx4070oc, reyzen 7, 32 gigs corsair ram, 1tb samsung 980pro ssd. I mean it runs Horizon forbidden West at a constant 72fps at 2K using Nvidias adaptive half refresh rate on my 2K curved dell monitor. Haven't tried other games out yet as i just recently built this rig with some money that I've saved theough the years but can't wait to buy more and test them!

The only reason you’d want to play Odyssey and Valhalla before Shadows is for the modern day segments. However, they are few and far between. Mirage doesn’t have any from what I know of. Overall, though, all three games have interesting (in my opinion) stories and environments. And the gameplay is decent. Mirage is actually short in comparison to most AC titles. Mirage also serves has somewhat of a backstory to one of the characters in Valhalla. But no, you don’t need to play them to play Shadows. But they are worth at least checking out. Also, I’m sure you’ve seen this before, but Ghost of Tsushima is also great option for an AC style game that takes place in Feudal Japan. And it’s been out for years. And it’s still phenomenal. But of course, as an AC fan myself, I’d still check out Shadows lol. Hope this helps. Be blessed, friend!!

Remember Jordan Yasuke is a Samurai not a Shinobi Ninja which were the real assassins and because he helped destroy at least one of the Ninja clans he would never actually be welcomed to fully become one but because of his strength they are willing to work with him in a desperate time, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”, because it seems like it’s more Naoe story and Yasuke is more tagging along to help after regretting a lot of things he’s done in his past including destroying her clan. So it really wouldn’t make sense (even though he might look cool in it) for him to wear hoods and remember he also doesn’t have a hidden blade either (hoods and hidden blades are basic equipment of an assassin).

Yes the cutscenes hopefully they deliver on that , i hope tweaking the seasons could be a new game plus feature , the replay value would be insane, also yasuke with a hood would be weird in my opinion but I do wish for naoe to have a straw hat , the romance in my opinion is useless, it worked in odyssey, could’ve worked in valhalla but is unnecessary here in my opinion, so if it’s optional I won’t engage in it unless it gives me a rare armor set

JorRaptor Ubisoft's adopted son lies. There's no confirmation that Naoe and Yasuke are acting on behalf of brotherhood and therefore they are not directly after Templar targets. Like in Valhalla it happens the bad guys to be Templars/ Hidden but you re not working for the brotherhood. Is this an assassin's game? Perhaps. Is it an Assassin's CREED game? Absolutely not.

I don't understand what people want. Yasuke is a samurai so he will not wear a hood and the robes and Naoe is a shinobi so she is not gonna wear any heavy armour so why does people want that things. Both are different in almost every thing so why not go all the way with that and them completely unique.

I mean does a spartan wearing a hood & robe make sense in Odyssey, it was still really cool to have these outfits though in an AC game? I think in general it's super cool that both characters will have completely different styles, still if Yasuke is like 'we are the shadow' give him at least the option to wear a hood as well.

This conflict will continue until everyone who plays the game, including the black community, understands that the legendary samurai "Yasuke" is fictional and there is no evidence that he was ever a samurai. To claim that he was in fact a samurai is perfectly equivalent to claiming that King Arthur was in fact a woman. I agree perfectly with those who say Assassin's Creed Shadows is just fiction. But can they also say that the "Yasuke was a samurai" hypothesis is fiction? I don't think so.

No because - even if the petition is powerful. It ll only be able to ban it in japan. A petition won't be able to ban it from all countries. As long as it's not against some human rights policies of un. 💀 I mean it's fine as long as the ubi soft says that this game is not a direct representation of Japanese culture and history. Intro/specific missions will have you play as Naoe or Yasuke but in open world you can play as whoever & during missions you have the choice during cutscenes to switch protagonists if you want

There is no way Ubi will cancel the game so late but with the Japanese petition to cancel the game and in some of the art there is precise copies of a reenactment groups flag It could possibly end with being banned in Japan which will cut sales and for the investors it will also look bad that their last game was set in a country and you offended that country so much it got banned After all ac probably have the same principle as cod doesn’t matter how many that don’t like it because people buy it anyway

I know this channel doesn't cover this and probably not a lot of people here pay attention to it, but I'm curious on how Ubisoft will deal with the response from Japanese fans over the months before launch. As of right now the reputation of AC Shadows and Ubisoft as a whole are pretty bad over there, and Japanese player base is pretty big for a game like this. A lot of people can see the reason why things are turning out like this, and for myself I am excited to see how Ubi representatives will respond the same way I'm excited to see more about the game haha

To be honest not a huge fan romances optional kinda find it boring and waste of energy especially for AC games and I understand why people like romance in games especially RPG style games which is fine I don't mind that it make sense for those RPG games like witcher and cyberpunk2077 and there's a reason why I like origins and mirage because they don't have romances optional just focus the narrative of the story

Hmm the game seems okay I mean there’s always gonna be something someone doesn’t like about a game or anything for that matter. I’m gonna hold any major opinions though until I get a chance to play. But I will say I’m still waiting on an AC game that lets us make our own assassin but considering the way they make these games I don’t have much hope for that. Romance in these games tends to be meh as far as I’m concerned though I won’t deny I enjoy the little addition of it. So yeah gameplay looks good so far graphics and the like are good and I enjoy the idea or application of the environment forcing me to adapt. I’m probably gonna play as the kunoichi anyway because I always enjoy playing a rouge or mage I like my toons squishy and high damage lol.
