We start off in Sainte Suzanne where Mike goes off to explore the amazing fortress nearby, then later, we are taken aback when we find out that there's an exciting race going on right past our park-up.
I am a woman solo camper with a dog and find it impossible to visit certain places as dogs aren’t allowed. In France they same to like dogs, but the rules on bus travel again make it impossible. Even so, I will be going to France with my campervan very soon and your videos have helped me decide on which places to visit. 😊
Same thing with me! I'm 73 and living full time in a camervan with my doggie! If you think France difficult, try Spain!!! "No peros" all over the place. Still, wouldn't be without my little Teddy ❤
Typical Tricia, the Glesga patter "aye your lookin' gorgeous hen"! Remember the dance hall patter, " how's aboot you an' me havin' a wee donner roon the flair"? A refusal would get a reply like, "whit dae ye expect for six bob, James Bond"? Loving you tour of France, safe travels.
Enjoyed your trip around the fort. Love seeing pieces of history that connect France and UK - reminds me of my history lesson on the Noman Conquest and William the conqueror . Loved history at school. Looking forward to next weeks video😀👍
How strange about the rubbish, but I’ve a hunch that our future will look like this in the not too distant future. Lovely shots of the keep. Not a smooth ride on those cobbles for the cyclists 🚴♀️😂 Thanks, Em 💜
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot yep, that’s been a thing down here for at least 4 years, it started off at £25 & has risen each year. Just another tax I guess 😵💫 Did consider a compost bin, but not too sure I have the right area to put it in the garden. 😊
We stayed at that Aire last week and was surprised about having to pay for rubbish. We liked the Aire and it was great for an overnight stay.Another informative relaxing video
Thanks for sharing - loving the Fortress but like many France towns and villages it’s just great walking around as so ununiform which I like Shame about no dog space I found more no dog signs in France than I expected Those bikes were going a fair lick
Great video Mike and Tricia - nice to see Keira burning off some energy playing catch the ball! 🙏 I'm looking forward to your next one on what you have learnt as we've recently changed our VW California for an Adria Twin 600 campervan! 😊Happy travels! 👍
Great video. We stayed at Bonetable in April. The bikes were just going up on the Park railings in early April. Very, very nice Camping car Aire in the absence of the cycle race, with a very nice park and walks it was just a quit village
Your videos are always so interesting, drone footage is lovely as we get a good view of all the area, the bike race must have been the famous yearly one they have in France, which is fine till someone at the front falls and they all fall over each other!!!!!
Thanks Diana for that, we think the bike race was part of the preliminary races for the Tour De France and we never thought we would enjoy watching it so much but we really did👍💕🐾
Hari Om Well, that shift of camp sites paid off, I'd say.. pretty village, Keira play place, AND a taste of a bike tour (pre TdeF)... marvellous. YAM xx
Great footage of the bike tour. Bet that was exciting to watch. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on your ten-week trip. I don’t think we could manage that long ☺️
What an impressive Fort. Reminds me a little of our own Richmond Castle which if I'm not mistaken is the best preserved early Norman Castle in the UK. Thinking the best part of this place for Tricia was the rather sumptuous looking strawberry tart. Was it as good as it looks ? 😋
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot couldn't agree with you more. Just had some English strawberries and they tasted like they used to back in the day. Full of sweetness and packed with flavour 😋
just as well those cobbles weren't wet or the bikes would've been skiteting all over the road. Plenty of strawberries on your tarts, I hate it when you buy a strawberry tart and get a strawberry cut in half.
Fantastic as ever, shame about the site issues. Quick question for you, we have been looking at a 144. My wife and I are about the same size as yourselves, but she is concerned that the 4ft 4in.bed will be too tight for us both. How have you found it ? Also I am just under 6ft but don't sleep lying flat out so I must be 5' 10 or 9 sleeping, is the width of the van okay for that height do you think?
It might be a bit on the short side but there are padded boards on both ends that come off and would give a few extra inches. I sleep on my side and sleep well but sometimes when I wake in the morning my body feels really cramped and when Tricia gets up I have a few mins just lying diagonally stretching out. You would definitely need to try it out in a showroom before deciding.
