mitchell lane in 2013 got a 6.25 which was an insanely good solve for what he averaged. If I remember correctly it was 8th in the world and 2nd in North America which was absolutely insane. And since than he's still been cubing, but never ever been able to beat the solve. To add on to the situation, in 2023, he got a very good solve. At first he celebrated thinking he finally beat the 6.25, to look at the time and find that it was 6.25 again. Meaning 6.25 is still his pr.
