Floyd, holding the chicks, is so cute! The look on his face! 🥰🥰🥰 I was hoping we could add chickens this year but i don't think it's going to happen, although I'm determined to at least have rabbits on the property by the end of summer. Rabbit manure is unsurpassed in building garden soil, IMO. I'm glad you're teaching Floyd a healthy respect for roosters. I was attacked by a rooster when I was about 4 years old. My mom had sent me to the chicken coop to collect eggs. It was to be the first time I did it all on my own. I don't remember actually collecting eggs that day though... 😖

Yesss roosters are great but must be respected! We used to have bunnies on our property but my cat kept getting them so unfortunately that’s just not the best idea. I would however LOVE to get some ducks in the future!!
