It’s wonderful how the goats and your kids are so sweet to each other. Great lessons about farm animals for your children plus they are just cute

Please invest in 5’ high 2” x 4” non climb field fence. As it is coyotes and foxes, and other critters, will come through your exterior fence and injure at best, or kill your critters. I speak from experience .

Either that or a livestock guardian dog (the fence would cost less)

I have a spool of Barbed wire. I'll add that over the top of the fence to raise it a bit and deter critters from going over?

At this point my dog has been doin a great job at chasing deer and smaller animals away. We have not had any fox or coyote sightings (yet)

@@travisjantzer Over the top is now what you should be worried about. Critters can easily go through your 6” x 6’ wire. Their real size is very much smaller than they look with their fur sticking straight out. The coyote that got my 3 chickens went straight through my 6” x 6” wire in the afternoon. Got them in an instant. They will take small animals too. They’re feeding their babies too. Horse fence (field fence) keeps everything out except big cats and bears.

@@travisjantzer That would probably work. You might also try electric fencing and run it off solar. Some farmers use electric netting fence. Premier One makes it, there may be other less expensive brands. Several homesteaders I watch on YT have had it given to them and in response they will do reviews on it. One homestead in particular Hollar Homestead uses it to keep a Bunch of pigs in their woods and in other places as well. He also farms a hillside.

Please remove these bells. This is animal abuse. Do you want to have a bell ringing around your head 24/7? 🙏🙏🙏

NEVER bring an unleashed dog to someone else's property! Even if it's super well-behaved and trained. First, you can never be sure of how the dog will react in a new environment. Secondly, don't put animals that aren't used to free walking dogs throughout that stress. Third: courtesy towards the property owners. Show some manners and respect.
