So today's video we are just checking in from Kamala Beach, Phuket Thailand where we take a walk around the area. First we head down to the beach and check out the area where all the night markets are. I provide a room tour of the first hotel we were staying at called the palms kamala beach. I also provide some footage from our night out in Patong, Bangla Road. We moved to a new location in kamala beach for our last three nights, the kamala beach estate, where I provide an update on what we have been up to (how we got sick), and a tour of the property we were staying at.

So sorry your trip was disrupted by food poisoning. I had that recently and it was no fun. I hope you bounced back quickly. Your hotel and beach area looked gorgeous. Nice to have the pool, and beach nearby. What a peaceful place to enjoy and relax!

Yeah it was a pain… especially having to stay indoors… it only got more fun after this point… I think a week later we came down with a virus but it’s all good now. Cheers!

Hi Luke.Kamala beach hotel would be more appropriate to be called Kamala beach hospital for you and Cindy.The worst thing that could happen to a traveller happened to you guys.Best wishes to both of you.The place over there by the way looks really nice although for me looks pretty familiar because all the Greek islands and many beach places all over my country look like this.As I always tell to myself and others best places are by the sea.Maybe it's because I was born and raised in an island and my genes are full of salt water 😂.I hope you had better time in other places mate.Cheers to you and Cindy from a still hot Athens.

😆 yeah just about Yannis! Yeah wouldn’t be anything special for a Greek definitely. Because of this, do you have particular islands you prefer to travel to avoid the flock of tourist? Cheers Yannis! All the way from Bangkok!

Sounds like a tough week, I’m sure Singapore Airlines appreciate you not put them on blast, they wouldn’t want any more headlines. Strongly suggest mega dosing on probiotics pre travel to Indonesia and Thailand :)

That it was haha! I have never actually had an issue with food and getting sick overseas… I think the last time I had food poisoning… I may have been a kid 😆 but that is a good recommendation that I’ll definitely consider on future trips! Thanks Kara!

Left about a week ago… for the whole 8 days we were there it only rained once or twice… apart from that hot and sunny. I’d say depends on your situation… if you’re with family/kids… there is a fair you can check out. There is a food market in the evenings. During the day you can check out patong or the other beaches like kata or Karon (these are a fair distance away). If your solo or like to go out… check out patong (Bangla road) 😆 it’s worth seeing. Anyways, all the best and enjoy your trip.

Not initially but I had some crazy headaches and it did get rid of that… mind you this was a couple of days later after it started. I appreciate the recommendation.
