One key practice that makes Malaysia amazing is the act of "Sedekah". It's kindness, compassion and good will all rolled into one. Being generous and kind to others grants favor from the Almighty in the form of "Pahala". And what Jimmy said at the end of the video is absolutely right. The best way to know and appreciate the real Malaysian culture is to accept the kindness and then pay it forward. FYI the fish you had is called a Pomfret. Got basic three types, black pomfret, white pomfret and silver pomfret. A very meaty fish with nearly no bones good for kids and seniors.

I like how quickly the boss went from angry confused and asking to doing an extremely kind action by giving 7,000 calories of food.

actually this place very recomended for family gathering makan makan besar. the price is very affordable, the place very clean and fresh air, because nearby river and Forest. every month, i and my family always come here to makan ikan bakar terbaik dari ladang!! thank you to bos bawal power sempoi for this hospitality and belanja this cute couple. for sure, insyAllah makin bertambah2 rezeki kan datang bos bawal. aamiin... terbaikkk lahh.

It's good that you have been experiencing the Malaysian hospitality and generosity besides enjoying the very nice food. This is the one thing that has always made me proud as a Malaysian. Our hospitality and generosity are in our DNA and we give these to everyone irrespective of race, creed or nationality. Having said this, I am touch by what Jimmy said at the end of the video - "Now we accept, next time we give."

Where I came from(Penang) some 20+ years ago, I used to eat at least once/twice every week simple but yet very tasty Nasi Ikan Bawal & since I moved to Selangor I couldn’t find such good taste. I think that's not Pari curry, but Pari Asam Pedas which equally looked sedap ... When you go to an Ikan Bakar restaurant, just take 3-4 dishes because you want to savour the taste.
