Mr. And Mrs. Mallard we’re just out for a Spring stroll. At least Mrs. Mallard was. Mr. Mallard looked like he was just following her 😂.

Do you think the female was saying “I told you we should have asked for directions!” to the male? 🤣 I’m sure that sentiment crosses species! Lovely video and very sad about the loss of that beautiful tree. Cheers from Chicago.

Hi guys, looking good. Storms dont care what they destroy. I hope the Mimosa survives to keep being an awesome tree. Its really very cold down here and im booked in on the 1st May, they are going to take a wedge off my cheek to fill in a very big hole that will be left behind when they cut the Cancer out of my face. So 2 scars and hopefully they get it all. So i might be quiet on here for awhile because i wont be able to wear my glasses to see properly. So any lovely bird noises would be appreciated greatly..lol Stay Safe my friend from your Tasmanian Fan ❤🙏👍🐌❤🙏👍🦋🐞🐛🤗

Every year around May 21st, our swimming pool is visited by two ducks. They usually take a swim, do a lot of pooping and continue on their journey. The first year I was in the backyard with my landscaper who noticed the ducks said "do you have pet ducks?" Odd question I thought till he pointed out our two feather visitors. I enjoyed your video and the two feathered friends.

Good evening from Western Australia. Lovely edging, it’s hard to edge with a strimmer, in Australia they’re called whipper snippers. Such a shame the Mimosa had to go after a lovely display last year. We had wild ducks and ducklings in spring at our last house. Good job as always. Keep well. Lynn x

Hey thanks 😊 yes it is hard to edge with a strimmer even harder with handle bars attached make it much heavier haha 😂

It's hard to lose a tree. We had to remove a large Maple after storm damage. It was 70 years old. Better to take it down, than falling down and causing damage. You two always do beautiful work.

Those ducks are probably trying to find a place to build a nest. They will do that away from water.

A very beautiful tree. Strange how weather can destroy them. Had two cherry trees that got a disease, sad but had to take them both down. No recovery. The ducks an additional delight. Hope they both found their way back to the water. Gary to think about roast duck? Well, that was a bit frightening, is all. You two did a top knotch job, as always! Thank you for showing that tree in bloom. Was beautiful. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

What a shame for such a beautiful tree to be damaged by the weather. We, in SW Ohio, lost 2 butterfly bushes due to the extreme cold just before Christmas 2022. We had -10f normal temperatures with wind chills about -30f. Thought our 2 holly bushes were also dead but they have new leaves coming out now. Have a wonderful week.

Hi Alex & Gary, Wow Ducks on the street! 🦆🦆 Love how the 2 of You are fooling around, calling Gary, then by the fence wall! When You-Alex was in backyard, You turned the Mic Up Too Loud! Sorry the Winter killed the Mimosa tree, it was Beautiful! Good Job, mowing & cutting down the dead Mimosa tree, hopefully it will come back!💯 Alex, I have a Question: we have a Peach tree, last year we got peaches, 🍑 but trunk had cracks & sap leaking out, this year... Now April...No Buds or Leaves...is it Dead❓Our Pear tree 8 feet from it, had buds & now leaves & flowers, doing great! Wow, while Gary was cutting the limbs on the sidewalk & You came...the Ducks came waddling towards You 2 !! It`s a Mallard Male & Female Duck, 🦆🦆we have them here too! They waddled past you to the garbage can, then into the backyard of the Homeowner`s !! Homeowner`s were Surprised, but they were looking for food! I would of fed them!! Take care You 2, at work & Gary to your Evening ❤ & Alex to Your Lovely Evening with Your Family!!❤ Love from Central Illinois USA🥰😎✌💖

We have ducks in my neighborhood there is a creek just west of my house. You have a mallard male and female im guessing they are looking for a nesting spot near water. Here in the states they are protected so if they make a nest in your yard or in your pool you can't touch them you have to leave them alone and they can do damage to you pool. I have had them strolling threw my front yard its cool.

Beautiful tree, too bad its gone. Very nice garden as well. Ducks are common in Wisconsin, USA. They frequently walk across roads, cars usually stop to let them go by. We also have a marsh nearby, they fly south for the winter in formation, in groups of 10's to hundreds, quacking away. Its a cool scene every year.

Mimosa is considered invasive here. It is pretty though. Perhaps they will choose another flowering tree that is more hardy.👍🏻Enjoyed the video.

All I can say, mate, is I feel for you all. The stress you have gone through the last few days has been unimaginable, not only for yourselves but people in Lincolnshire, etc. Andrew Warde has a great video about the EA and doesn't pull any punches, and why should he, as millions have been spent on so-called environmentally friendly schemes. Once again, people who have years of local knowledge have been ignored. From pumps not being used by farmers (because they haven't been trained) to...well I could rant on and on. I wish you all well in these very hard times.

Those two ducks are mallard ducks found a lot in America. The all brown one is the female, and the colorful one is the male. Sometimes they come inland for winter time. But they know where there is water nearby. They could also be someone's pets. You guys do beautiful work. /I am sad you had to cut down the one tree. Sometimes the trees die due to various reasons. Check the soil to be sure there are adequate nutrients and minerals. Try planting it again maybe in a different location? It was a beautiful tree.

For years a garden center in our town would get a pair of ducks that laid eggs among the plants for sale. They would rope off that area and let the ducks hatch their eggs and the police would stop traffic on the road so that the ducks and ducklings could cross over to a small natural pond to continue raising their young. The ducks were as tame as the pair in your video even though they were wild ducks.
