We are a family of 6 living life in North Pole, Alaska! Where Santa Claus House is right down the street! We love spending time together as a family, having fun, learning through homeschooling, growing in our faith, and building our forever home! We hope you enjoy seeing are crazy life, full of lots of laughs, great memories and maybe a few tears..

When my daughter got married it was much more emotional than I thought. I found it to be a final step of letting go. It's been a huge blessing and now I have 3 amazing grandkids. The lord gives us grace to sustain us through all of life's many changes.

Im gonna be honest with you here Bert. I don't think I could do it! I think Id absolutely LOSE MY STUFF... EVERYTHING! (Of course my daughter's not been with the greatest guy in the world for the last 10 years now. So HAPPINESS wouldn't be at the top of my mind) I wonder why they sometimes seem to like the ones we detest the most?? Boy.... once they get a mind of their own, we're not able to have a whole TON of input anymore. No matter how much we try to go at it the right way to let them know they're not making the very best decisions. But I can say that keeping an open, EXTREMELY SUPPORTIVE, and able to talk about anything relationship with your and that'll really help out a ton! (And I would expect nothing less from the two of you absolutely AMAZING parents. So you're already 85% of the way there!!!) Great big hugs and loves to you all!!

The parents of the bride look far to young to have a married daughter. Looks like it was a beautiful wedding. Try Audrey out sitting in the front passenger seat. I had and still have motion sickness but am okay driving or sitting in the front passenger seat. I am history sitting in the back seat in cars. Love seeing more of Alaska, so thanks for the opportunity. Hopefully we will see some of the photos from your photo shoot. You will have an amazing photographic history of your family to pass down over the generations. That's what families should do but many don't.

My youngest son got married in May. My husband/his daddy passed away three years ago. So, my son walked me to my seat. It was hard and I was seriously holding back tears.

Bert, I would give this advice. Talk to your daughters now about what kind of man to look for and start praying with them about it, keep a very open relationship with them and talk with them often especially when you see things you don't like so they sense that when making choices about lots of things, and lastly take all future big milestones they pass and pray for God's strength to help you through that one to help you prepare for the next ones. God will see you through them all.

Great Video. It's pretty amazing that Gasoline IN VALDEZ, AK, is the same price as it is here in Los Angeles, CA. And there are FOUR Oil Refineries within 20 miles of where we live. Go Figure....

If I had a daughter, I'd vet her future husband better than M15. If he was solid, then I'd be comfortable knowing I'd done a good job. As it is, I'm happy with how we've raised my 18-year-old son, he's turning into a good man. Honest, kind, hard-working, and loves children. Hope he makes a good husband and father in a few years.

as a child I remember the rollers on our washing machine.. crazy. but it did the job.. I'm glad you guys got to have a break.. the place looks beautiful, something id never get to see in person so thank you for taking me there.. I'm in Australia and for your launch??? I'm wanting the black and red jumper. Has Audrey tried sitting in the front seat for motion sickness? It helped me when I was younger because you can look ahead... apparently the motion of objects going by ( the side views) that eye tracking, can trigger car sickness.

My Dad told me I was beautiful, and that he had 100$ cash in his pocket for gas money if I changed my mind when we started to walk down the aisle, I know that he was joking at the time, but also knew that he would be good for it if I changed my mind last minute.

Now I am female but I don´t understand the difference with a daughter or a son getting married. Raise them to be independent people who can make there own decisions and not someone to take care of them. But I guess we are from different cultures. AT the same time I think you are a wonderful dad and your daughters are going to do just fine as adults married or not.

I walked three of my daughters down the aisle then performed their weddings. Yes, I cried at each one. Actually had some salvations at their weddings. They’re all married for over 20 years each and doing well. Their kids are getting married now. Got to perform one of their weddings.

The one thing that I'm sad about is I didn't get to get out and see more of Alaska before we left. We had plans to go once our little one was older but the pandemic hit when we where making plans to go places. I am thankful to have gotten to visit Denali and do the road lottery. We even got to see all of Denali which was shocking and breathtaking!

We took the ferry from Whittier Valdez, did the circle up thru Fairbanks to visit daughter, back down the Parks back home. Even with the rain it was great.

You will be gaining a son Bert! A family growing is the most wonderful thing. I also enjoy "Alone in Remote Alaska" and she always carries a loaded gun when outside. I never see you wearing a weapon but your home seems to have a lot of wildlife. Do you carry a weapon when outside?

I would say that getting to walk your daughters down the aisle is surely and honor and blessing! You still have a good while I hope before Audrey is at that time! But my dad died when I was only 16, he was only 54. It was so sad not to have him on my wedding day( 45 years ago!). But I truly felt him there. It is a very special time.

Greetings from Prescott Arizona. Such a beautiful video so nice to see Valdez after only knowing the 1989 oil spil to associate the name with. In one weeks time Prescott had a mini tornado at our Love Field airport and an earthquake in Chino Valley of 3.9 & the beautiful late arrival of monsoons! We never know what mother nature will bring us do we?
