You can tell she don't want to talk about what she's got she just feels pressured and you can tell she's uncomfortable talking about her possessions and that
I was told to pick out expensive items and tell the price of them. I was also told to tell them about my house and in no way was I bragging. I am very very lucky to have what I have but equally day to day at uni I live a very normal life. I live in a uni house not too dissimilar to their house in size and in a similar sort of area. It’s disappointing the voiceover and the edit has made me come across like this.
It's just the way they made the programme so they sensationalised it because they think that makes more people wanna watch it. I think you came across as a decent person, people sat on the outside judging and trying to jump down your throat need to realise how much the production team are there telling you what they want you to say etc, you can tell you sounded like you were answering questions which had been edited out/not included in the programme, because you weren't talking in a boastful tone or anything just being factual x
Hey! Actually you came across really well.. very down to earth. That was so nice of you to offer to babysit. I really like you. I think you are a wonderful, kind, loving human being. And most def not spoilt
To be fair on the girl. She was constantly being asked about her home and how much her things cost and so on so it wasnt really bragging and she actually looked uncomfortable answering those kind of questions and seemed like a genuinely nice person and very humble If anything the family are being kinda rude asking someone about her finances and how much she spends. Don't know what it's like for other people but I was always told its rude to ask people stuff like that because its personal But then again that's the point of the show
The parents look so stressed and run down bless them, you can see they're doing their absolute best and working so hard they deserve so much more. The girl doesn't seem too bad either
Why have so many kids then lol, they are delinquents who will stay poor forever. I couldn't imagine living in a house even twice as big as that one ... 😹😹😹
I don’t think the girl came across as bad as everyone in the comments is making out.. she was clearly uncomfortable when they started asking her questions.. she seems fairly sweet and tried to give them time to themselves which is something they probably haven’t had in a long time.
do people not get that the rich kid needs to talk n compare their lifestyles nd homes so that the poor family a can get an idea of how different their lives are and the viewers can see their worlds collide?.. and bet the people behind the scenes are probably feeding them topics to talk about and encouraging her to say certain things
What I usually find out about people in these situations is 1) They're relatively young and 2) They have multiple kids. Why are people having kids if they can't afford it 😂
You can,t blame a person for the family their born "into"....but..........you can blame people who "have" more kids than they can "afford" etc.........Good-luck to them though. x x x x
Captain Snuggles true, but not everything can be covered by benefits and if everyone had that same work-shy mentality then there’d be no money to tax. I guess my point is that they shouldn’t be complaining about lack of money when it’s due to a choice they have consciously made.
They may well of been in a better position financially when they had the children. I struggled financially when my children were small as their father left, I had a mortgage, part time job, child care costs, all the normal bills, I was lucky enough not to need a car, I didn't have sky and had a PAYG phone but still but most months there was just not enough to stretch.
Mandi Hill perhaps. But in your case, as you said you had a mortgage, I imagine you weren’t on benefits. They should be more appreciative and grateful that there is a financial safety net in this country, not to mention free healthcare and education etc.
I don't think the rich kids ever look down the poorer ones, it's just a culture shock due to a massive change in environment. How would any of us act if we were sent to Nigeria and told to live with a poor family there? It's all relative...
I am not gonna lie a family of five living in a three bedroom house is pretty normal and they are actually lucky compared to the other families but still feel sorry for them ngl
I know certain circumstances can put people in bad situations but its so irresponsible, unfair and selfish to have kids if you cant afford to live yourself
To anyone that is young watching this video and are planning on leaving school if you’re not academic, try get yourself a trade, can lead into something big and you get decent money by the end of your apprenticeship.
The thing is it’s not her fault that her parents want her to spend money and they probably worked for it and obviously there’s probably didn’t study well and they should have knew that would benefit their future
@@aaronjpg8170 Aaron JPG Have you not watched any of the other episodes? Almost all of the kids on it are actually very humble about their wealth. There's a difference between explaining how you live your life and straight out boasting. Just because they're rich it doesn't instantly mean they have to be stuck up and spoilt.
@@krushkrushemz1718 they actually didn't tho. Watch it again. Once or twice they ask her a question, every other time she just comes out with it from nowhere..
I think rich kids who agree to be on such a show in such a situation would definitely be not the bragging ones. Its just how the show is presented make them look the spoilt ones... but its not their choice to be rich... atleast they are respectful to others...
Most these families if they are in debt, the solution could be that the woman temporarily gets a night job and that way she gets a full salary. Even on minimum wage she'd get like £1200 a month for 38hrs. That would help pay for their debts and put some savings away. The answer is always in getting more income. I did this only 6 months after having a baby. Once you cleared you can go back to part time. Hard work pays.
Well her dad is a multimillionaire.... and I know she’s not old money but a lot of old money in general aren’t flaunty about their wealth, no flashy labels and normal cars
The producers/announcer had an axe to grind, constantly putting down Devon in any way to the point of ridiculousness. Devon was lovely, kind, and hesitant to express prices. She was so patient and kind to the little ones, while generous to offer to babysit. I would much rather Devon be a house guest than these right misery writers.
Canadian here. Do they not get any sort of help from the government ? I know here in Ontario parents(if you qualify) get baby bonus which is a couple hundred dollars a month for a kid. (it's more if you have more children) I do wish them success. And Devon seems like a sweet girl.
Don't know about UK but in Ireland which very similar there is the children's allowance that parents get per child from birth to finishing school i think
you're right - i buy alot of things second hand but if i ever said something was second hand it was cut out of the edit because it didn't fit the narrative
@@sonnyxn619 £45 each round I do I get 5 pound (a round is basically the number of papers and the houses) I do one round on somedays and 2 on others ☺️
