We Had to Say Goodbye to Cole 

Thank you everybody for the kind words, sorry if it upset some of you again, but I wanted to make sure people were aware... it's tough to keep everyone totally updated on our daily cat stuff compared to FB & IG but I'm going to post more frequently on our community page too moving forward. I also wanted to let people know that we made a memorial "Team Cole Furever" design on shirts and hoodies if you wanted one... I'll say it again: DO NOT APOLOGISE for so-called lack of content. We know how hard it is to lose a loved one. You gave Cole his best life and allowed us to share it. We'll wait until you are ready

Anyone complaining about "lack of content" has never grieved the loss of a pet. Continue to take your time. You and Jen are people, not a content farm. Th Cam Fam loves you and we're here when you're ready.

When I lost my son, I was basically forced to do a memorial for him when I wasn’t ready. I’m still bitter over that. I completely understand that you needed time do what you needed first.

I love how Marm kept grooming Cole, probably one of the only ways another cat can console a sick cat. Funny how they know what's coming often before we do.

Such a sweet boy. It's funny how much I miss a cat that I never really knew. You guys gave Cole every chance and it was always obvious how much you loved him and he loved you. You have to do what's best for you, but I do hope you'll be back with more Marm and friends videos. The world needs it's blood pressure lowered!

Never apologize for that, Cole was loved so much. He's looking out for the family and giving love, along with helping other kitties, that is something Cole loves you guys for.

My cat passed way a month ago. Still hurts really bad. This is the first time I lost my baby.. Wish my cat bubble and I meet again in the heaven someday.

I can still see the pain and heartbreak in your eyes and voice. Cole was an amazing family member and your love for him never wavered. It was an honour to be allowed to be part of your world. Be strong and know that your fans support you and do not want to rush. When you are ready you will be ready. I’m going to snuggle my fur baby, Leo the Ragdoll, and tell him how much I love him.

My heart breaks that you felt the need to apologize for a lack of content. You and your family lost a precious family member who will be missed dearly. While I'm excited and looking forward to new content, I and so many others here are willing to wait for however long you need. Rest in peace dear Cole, you left paw prints on all our hearts.

Dear Chris & Jess: never, ever feel like you've let us down. You've done nothing but lift us up for a decade. The last few years, you've gone through hell. The legal torture, Covid, but worst of all. . .losing Cole. We're family, it's true. We're standing by, loving & praying. That's what we're supposed to do. We have lots of great memories stored up & tons of fabulous footage on which to fall back. We've been here through it all, & we're never going away. Virtual hug for all six of you. OH NO COLE!!!!!! When I came home from a stressful day at school, I would watch those two gorgeous kitties and they would make my day. Cole and marmalade helped me. Seeing how much love you gave them, Cole went surrounded by nothing but love his whole life. I'm so sorry for you loss. Cole is always around you 💜

Chris, you've never, ever "let us down". You're taking the time you need, and based on your FB posts and videos. you've been very busy with rescues. This broke my heart. But seeing how Cole cuddled into you, I could see Cole loved you and felt very loved and safe and hE was clearly adored every waking minute of his life with you.

It still seems so unreal. Cole was one of the most entertaining kitties ever, and a real ambassador for black cats. He really was a blessing to this world and I'm sure he's in a good place now.❤️

The pain of losing a loved one...the only part about sharing your life with a kitty is that their lives are too damn short...may the pain of your loss ease with each day that goes by.

My beloved Jacob has also crossed the rainbow yesterday. He was a special needs cat with serious ailments. We gave him a pretty comfortable life and loved and cared for him dearly. That’s why it’s so painful to say goodbye to him. The thought of not seeing him ever again frightens me. But I take comfort in the fact that he’s now in peace. No more pain in cat heaven though I will forever miss him. 😢

Cole left his paw prints on all of our hearts, and both BossCat and myself want to say many furry thanks to you and MomCat for sharing not only Cole, but all of your furry family with us. Just when I think that BossCat can't surprise me, he does yet it again. When he heard your voice talking about Cole (he was taking a kitty power nap during this time) he hopped in my lap and as the videos of Cole came on the screen, he leaned forward and kept tapping at the screen every time he heard Cole purr. He sends all of his best purrs and meows to you and your furry feline family - for whatever reason, Cole left his paw prints on BossCat's heart as well. We miss you, Cole, but we know that you are happy and healthy at the Rainbow Bridge, awaiting the time that you are all reunited forever. 🤗😻🐾🐾💖💖💖

That final video of Marmalade meowing at the air is magical. It's like he was speaking to Cole.

Cole, loved and was loved back and that’s all he wanted. He was a icon and representative for all the black cats out there. Cole helped a big way in the adoption of black cats. I can’t imagine how many of those kitties are thankful to Cole of lending his paw (with the help of his humans of course) of giving them a chance of finding furever homes. That just shows he was the best kitty. Don’t EVER feel that you have to apologize for grieving over a member of your family.

OMG! Cole, my sweet little black cat, is gone. He was my first internet cat love and I'd followed him and Marm all along. There will never be another Cole. He was an ambassador for all catdom and he will be forever missed by me and many, many others! RIP and condolences.

I just watched the last clips of Cole. Condolences. I teared up watching him. He was a sweet handsome boy. I know how u r feeling. I put down my boy, Pumba, (9 yo), due to kidney failure. I had him for 18 months. I adopted him from the local shelter.

I lost the love of my life today, Alfie Kat. I’m a breast cancer survivor on my own. My cat was my reason I fought so hard. I totally understand the pain of losing Cole. I guess I should make an announcement video of my own on my very small RU-vid channel but the pain is just to severe for now. If anybody wants to see my Alfie, go watch. It still always makes me so sad, when I think about Cole not being in this world any more. In the last clip Marmalade somehow sounded and looked as if he was talking to Cole. It doesn't get easier as time goes by either. 5th cat in 28 years hurts just as much as the first one did at the ripe age of 10...

I lost a wonderful cat almost 15 years ago. He was a special cat--they ALL are! Bean had renal failure. I have an idea of what you're feeling. You have my sympathy over the loss of your pet. It's NEVER easy. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm still carrying the grief over my lost loved ones, even though one of them left me more than 60 years ago. Somehow, those memories help me keep them in my heart and my arms. Cole had a long and happy life with you -- no cat could ask for more.

💔 I lost my boy Mortimer a year ago today to large cell intestinal lymphoma. It’s still hard to watch videos from his last 3 months. I hate that we here collectively are a part of the cancer pet loss family, but I feel less alone reading the comments. I wish you all peace and love!

I remember when my Rowan had to get radiation to his eye socket (after getting his eye removed due to lymphoma) his fur turned white in that area. It devastated me when his tumor returned and took over his face and jaw. The fur babies are our kids. You will see Cole again one day, and he will be the same ball of purring fur he always was.

I feel for them. Having put our cat down after 17 years of laughter, tears and adorableness, it’s not easy. Two months on, I miss her

Losing a pet especially a cat that you have been with a long time is hard, my pet bunny just recently. I was shocked to learn this after coming home from work.

That clip of Marmalade looking around and meowing just about did me in. We said goodbye to our sweet girl Angel about a month and half before you said goodbye to Cole on September 2, 2021 which was the day after her 20th birthday. I’m sure I caught our boy Lucky doing the same. Angel loved to sleep on the foot of our beds, usually mine. That is when she wasn’t sleeping on me or my mom making movement impossible. Lucky was usually the first living being awake in the morning. He’d come into whichever room Angel was sleeping in and wake her up then they’d both howl like the world was ending until they got fed. One morning after she passed, maybe a week or so, I came back from the bathroom to find Lucky sitting where Angel slept. He was looking around and meowing. I asked him if he was talking to Angel and he got this really sad look on his face and I swear he chirped yes. I can’t say that for sure but that’s what my heart believes. The best way we could heal from losing her was to adopt a new kitty Sammy. Lucky was the best big brother he could be after being the little brother for 17 years. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Lucky this past April. While I’m sure part of it was that he’d mourned himself to an extent I think he also knew that he’d done his final job and that was to teach Sammy how to cat. Although I can’t even be sure Lucky or Angel really knew how to cat. How many cats do you know that prefer flying across the living rather than walking?

I can so empathize with you…I love black kitties, I love Cole, I love the 3 black kitties I had….but I lost my heart kitty 10-17-22 due to a saddle thrombus and things happened so fast I’m still grieving. It’s nice to watch videos of Cole because you love Cole like I love Smeagle. So thank you for sharing the kitties with us because it’s very therapeutic for the grieving process as well. 😢 1 of my cats had a similar condition 12 years ago aged 10. He was one of my first kitties and was such a sweet sweet boy. Cole has had a good run being a part of your family and surely he loved being your house panther. Stay positive!!

Watching this makes me remember all my ferrets I had and watched them get old and need special medical care and then eventually have to let them go. It’s never any easier no matter how many times it happens. He was a lucky cat to live with a good owner.

I had 2 cats and thought that was the limit in my household. Then i found your channel and got inspired to help feed outdoor stray cats. Now i have a 3rd furbaby, a black stray. I would like to think Cole helped me make that decision. Love and Hugs. Lets all celebrate the Life that was and is Cole.

Chris seeing Cole and his struggle makes me appreciate him so much more. We ALL miss Cole as I KNOW Marmalade does as well. Watching his face and mannerism with you and seeing the pure love in his eyes makes me tear up but I KNOW he is safe and sound pain free curled up on the rail of the rainbow bridge waiting to see you all again.
