they are all good just depends on your rng and decisions tbh. Strongest to weakest probably Watcher > Defect > Ironclad > Silent considering you have a decent seed and good rng. Ironclad is very easy to build around and has passive healing allowing you to make some mistakes so it's easy to have successful runs especially on lower ascensions. Silent is very fun and can spiral out of control very early on however you have a decently high chance compared to the other characters of just losing a run to being offered straight trash early on. Defect has a lot of crazy synergies mostly with power cards and has a bit of everything in their kit and is also pretty powerful in early fights but can be tough to build around sometimes as the damage math and cards in general are more complex. Watcher is just busted insane power lots of one shot potential that doesn't require much to get going. You got energy generation and double damage in your main kit... Also the power level of the cards are just busted when you compare them to the others.
ALSO should add it's very very important to know how to path and what relics work with your main engine in your decks BUT also at the same time not forcing a specific build and allowing yourself to be flexible so knowledge is the best thing to have in this game knowing what cards to take and when to take em and when to skip your card choices is very imporant. My worst character is watcher even though i know they are the best and my best character is silent even though i know they are the worst simply because i've put the most time into silent and got to learn silents cards and synergies.
@@Zak-jt6nk Thanks for the answer. I was actually looking for a thorough answer exactly like this when I wrote it. Had a bit more experience since then and I feel like I recognize a lot of what you're saying. I had one run as each character now. Two as Ironclad. I beat it with him my second time playing him. Felt like I got some very good synergies going. Had the 0 cost +2 energy +3 draw -6hp card and relic so I started with it every combat, also had other draw cards, keep armor power card, upgrade all cards, quite a few strength buffs, big armor cards, 2x shield slams, 3x of the put card on top of draw pile damage card. Not to mention the attack card that scales better with strength. Also some debuff cards. On top of all that I had lots of crazy relics, the most impactful one felt like the pyramid that retained all my cards. Anyway, it felt really good, I was OP as hell. Gameplay was pretty much stacking buffs and armor until I 1-shot everything. My runs with the other characters have been a lot less successful than the Ironclad runs, he's probably easier to build, like you said. With Watcher I found myself gambling too much with going into the damage stance. I thought she felt a little more difficult than the others, but that's probably just because I'm bad and need to practice her a lot more!
@@Lars-ce4rd it's just a matter of learning what cards work together and when to use them. My personal favorite builds are based around shivs with the silent discard decks with silent are really fun too. If you ever get your hands on a dead branch as Ironclad keep your eye out for a corruption probably one of the most fun combos in the game :)
