@@RLN13S is there still show car insurance. When i was in my teens u could rego and insurance yor cars as show car, burnout car but you had to put the car in i think it was like 5 shows a year. Is there still that shit around

I don't know if a petition will get anything done, but if somebody sets up a gofundme and raises enough $ we could make a burnout pad in every state or city. All we need is the land and the cash to do it.

Lots and lots of it. But imagine, not only opening the place every weekend for people to attend, but also livestreaming the whole event etc etc. It can very easily pay for itself if setup and done right, by the right people.

@@GearHeadsOz Biggest issue is even if pads get built people will still whinge about it being too far or too costly. It would cost a lot for insurance, need staff to help cleanup, fire marshalls on site at every event etc. There is a lot that goes into it and when push comes to shove a lot of the people that want pads built won't put in any money or any time volunteering there. Would be great if it could run like Sportsland Yamanashi in Japan, end of the days drifting the drivers have to go out and help clean-up the track.

I think if you, a few other RU-vidrs (TroyCandy, Mexican Hoon Cartel, etc.) and the burnout community as a whole put money together, you might be able to buy land and make a skid pad. I know theres a lot more legal stuff that you have to go through to even make it happen but it would be nice if the government would just help instead of trying to prevent skids overall. We all know that will never happen

I'm in a small called Casino in northern NSW and the council opens up our old airport for drag racing once every 3 months. Cost $50 per car but you can race down as many times as you can in the day. So much better.

100% agree if there was a place for people to go a lot, not all but a lot of the dangerous street stuff would stop... but once a place is built need locals going down even just to watch there $15-20 bucks entree makes a difference. One thing I don’t like about calder park is 1 day of racing is like $200. when my car isnt ready to race or I know the track is horrible and not worth racing on, I still go and bring mate with me coz a car with just 4 in it makes $80 bucks for the track

Struggled the first skid because I had a full esky in the back and 3 sets, last 2 skids she loved it, was eating 2nd gear like butter 🤘 Just needs some diff gears, a locked diff and a hydro handbrake 👌🥵

And the sedan has a built box that only holds first if you hold the shifter back, soon as he let's go of the shifter it clicks into second gear, he's hopefully sorting that out soon though

As long as your well away from public and business’s, close the road, don’t disrupt traffic, have safety measures and clean up afterwards, generally the cops are ok with it. We used to run street races this way with no problems from police

I use to work in that shed on the corner that installation place this hair pin was always getting rapped use to hit this corner and their is a right hander just the other side of pickles and that is a coledsake and was all cleaned land behind was our race track back then. There was a grate spot out Mitchell but haven't been to Canberra for years. You would have to know dan osterman and jake fuller and them boys. Hey mate were I am in regional Victoria we had the same issue but we ended up after a lot of shit getting a legal place at the local drag strip where we can have fun and do it safe it is called the Gippsland Motorplex /Bairnsdale Dragway check them out on Facebook if you or anyone watching wants an idea of how what your after for your local car enthusiasts can be done properly and safe for everyone.
