It's a real shame. Another person actually having fun with the game, but cant progress further because KI cant be bothered to move the paywall. dont worry fam, literally every player's been saying the paywall happens way too early. If you've been wondering why spells Fizzle, There's a little percentage number that indicates a spell's "Accuracy", and gear can increase your accuracy stat. As for why some spells are greyed out, there's a number on the top corner that represents their "Pip cost" (Which are those little white orbs at your feet in combat). Passing, or using spells that require 0 pips will build up pips to use your stronger spells. A lot of buff spells are 0-cost pip spells.

I'd personally say Death is the more friendly school just because it's the easiest to play. Half of its spells have an OP 50% life steal on them so it doesn't take long before you almost have to try to lose. Glad to see you explored the available free content to the fullest. Not often people actually bother to do the side quests before either quitting or buying a membership, but I'd definitely love to see more

The AOE spell casted in this video was called Tempest. Which deals more damage the more pips you have when you use it. Which is why it dealt a lot of damage to defeat every enemy. Some cards need enough pips to be cast. And the percentage on the card is its accuracy. :)

Diego the duelmaster who is by the arena in unicorn way also has a few more tutorials outside of the beginning that helps explain combat more. Try looking for him there, and if he ever has an exclamation mark above him. Give it a shot

Yeah when first play this, I thought it was free than I get paywall. I did get max fire in novus before new world came out

The membership is so worth it if you put time into it. Dont buy crowns, at least not yet. And never buy gold with crowns, gold is so easy to obtain.

the % on the cards isn't the %hp the enemy can have , it's the accuracy of the card , means there's a 70% chance of you being able to not fizzle the spell. You'll learn and expirience what everyone of us has , the first character is always a vibe. Keep up the good work.

Ooooh we got the part 2! Also the dots above/below the names in combat are actually called pips, they're the resource we use to cast higher rank spells (which includes Fire Elf). You normally get one pip per round so you can pass or use a 0 pip spell like Fireblade to save up pips

Great video, looking forward to your 3rd part! The percentage on each card is called accuracy, which means what is your percentage chance to not fizzle the spell. Schools like storm and fire have stronger damage, but lower accuracy and will fizzle more often. As for the treasure cards, you can click on the top left button of your spells page with the yellow cards on them. That'll give you access to a 2nd part of your deck, where if you discard a regular card during a round, you'll then be able to draw a treasure card like the Kraken one you got.
