Such a great idea to split the cruise into separate videos rather than one rushed version! Really enjoyed the last cruise series, and loving this one as well! Shame your excursion was cancelled, but if the weather was that bad maybe it was for the best... and you really made the best of the extra free time (although I'm not sure I could cope with bungee-fitness, it did look fun.)
Thanks so much!! I feel stressed at the idea of putting this all into one video haha -it would probably end up being two hours long!😅 that’s awesome you watched our last cruise series too!! Haha the bungee class definitely isn’t for everyone 🤣
well gosh dangit all to hecking heck, I'm a new subscriber and I wasn't alerted to this new video...I have already binge watched every video on the channel and I been waiting for a new one and this is already 5 days old as i'm typing this and I had no idea :( well anyway I'm excited to watch so LET'S GOOOOOOO ( also i'm hoping for some Ludvig banter/shenanigans ) !
MONA is definitely a fantastic way to spend time in Hobart! I also recommend Bruny Island for a beautiful day in the area. I love your videos. Can't wait to watch more!
Excellent video as always Chloe and Ludvig! I found your channel when you guys uploaded your Amtrak trip Chloe, across America. I’ve been hooked ever since. Keep up the great videos. I enjoy seeing all these ones that you and Ludvig put together.
I think I actually remember this specific cruise ship coming into Hobart. The cruise ships come in and they are so big they just seem to block out the whole skyline, and often wreck the view.
"cute" 😂...No really, I loved every minute! Every time I hear that sneaky mystery suspenseful spy music in the background I know we're all in for a good time with Chloe & Luddie...ahem, Ludvig. Thx guys 🍻
Hahaha, yes, that suspenseful music does makes it's way into our. videos often... I guess we are always up to sneaky mischief ;) Thanks for watching Larisa!
Some possible reasons an excursion gets canceled: by the ship, a) not enough people signed up, to reach the required minimum to have it be profitable or at least break even by the local operator, b) local road closures or similar, so it can't run on time c) local guides / vehicles not available d) as it was approx. 1.5 hrs from the port, local weather conditions, which can be different than at the coast/port There can be others, but those are some of the most common
We had many tours cancelled in our time but the one in Maui many years ago was out of the blue. It was snorkelling in a caldera. When we asked why, the excursion desk said it was the weather, but it was a beautiful day so we asked a local after we wandered through the town and the local said there had been a shark attack in the caldera the day before and it was a cruise passenger. No wonder they cancelled the tour, however the truth wouldn't have hurt. I don't know if she survived.
I'm quite seriously considering one of the Australia cduises now, definitely looks worth the flight literally halfway across the world. And really intrigued about that bungee class!
This video brought back so many happy memories for me. Dad's side of the family live in Hobart, so growing up used to go down for holidays. In fact, my Auntie's brother (Aunty by marriage) owns Da Angelo restaurant (Battery Point). Chloé and Ludvig, the bookstore that you went to in Salamanca, was it called Deja Vu Books? If it was, another of my Uncles works there.
I was in Hobart for a week in 2019 visiting an old friend (known him since we met in Denver, Colorado in 1968 when I was 18) and had a wonderful time. Did the on-off bus tour which went by the brewery you visited and the female prison grounds. My friend took me to a weekend market along the wharf and then we drove around Battery Point. We drove to Mt. Wellington and it was brilliant! The high point of my visit had to have been the MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) about twenty minutes north of Hobart. The art is stunning but so is the architecture of the whole privately run compound. Such a wonderful time in and around Hobart! Would love to go back.
Great video! We just got back from sailing on Resilient Lady (short 3 night cruise) so I was disappointed that we couldn’t try all the food. We did thoroughly enjoy Gunbae and Razzle Dazzle for dinner and the Wake for brunch. I’m keen to get your thoughts on your cabin - we opted for a balcony in the middle because I’m always paranoid about getting sea sickness, but your room looks just like ours, just without the balcony. Can’t wait for the next episode!
What a fun trip you guys are having! Its making me decide if i should go on a cruise! I have never been on one before, or have not been of of my home country since is was 18! currently i am almost 55! so it has been awhile lol! Looks like even Ludvig is enjoying it! lol oh and tell Ludvig that i did it!!
Yay so glad you at enjoying the experience with us!! You should definitely try it yourself :) haha Ludvig likes a cruise even if he doesn’t realise it at the time 🤣😅
Yea!!!!…….I have been so curious to see y’all’s video on Tasmania and bungee exercising class. I appreciate the social niceties advice; “1/4 right” which can be flipped to “1/4 wrong”. I’m Sooo going to use this.Ludwig’s take on the world always gives me a chuckle. Y’all compliment each other so much. Take Care and thanks again Ps. British term “having a wobbly”….. so funny… i work into conversation, helps calms down people -HUGS…to Y’all😊 Off to get another iced mocha …
Thanks so much Randolph!! Haha glad you got lots of nice takeaways from the vid! I love Ludvigs interesting thoughts and comments - he sure does entertain me all day 🤣
