Hey Loves! Ok, I am sure you can tell this has me so darn excited and its sort of a surprise to me just how into this I am. Who knew?!? But here we are getting ready to hatch our first round of eggs. I have been reading and watching all the videos and info I can get my hands on about incubating and hatching chicken eggs. It is so fascinating guys! I will include the link to the sweet farmer in NC that mailed me the eggs with such ease and promptness. Also, I will include the link to this incubator on Amazon. Lets hope this goes well ya'll!
Update!!! It went amazing and we had an excellent hatch rate. The birds are gorgeous. Here is the link to the wonderful homestead that provided the eggs.

Isn’t it so exciting!!! Thank you so much for the sun and your sweet comment!! That is a lot of roosters and I have a feeling so many of our are roosters too lol! I guess we will wait and see. They are all so sweet though. How many do you have now?

@@soulspaces Well, I have 28 hens and 1 rooster - if you type "Rooster Peter" on my channel search - you can see / hear him, he is "my own" creation - from an egg of my hen; he is a Cuckoo Maran / Bielefelder mix with hairy legs 🐓😊 ... a sweetheart. 💖 If you would have some "extra" roosters- you can trade it for a hen or sell it as a pet/ or for breeding - that what I did. Most of my hens are coming into the "retirement age" now - so, this year I've purchased 9 more chicks - they are 3 weeks now - should be 95% guarantee hens ... we see 🐥🐓🐔

We're incubating right now, too! Feb 17th/18th is our hatch day. We had started incubation late in the evening. I'm sorry you dropped an egg. :( I think many of us have done it at least once. We're excited and sometimes it's hard to keep great control of our fingers when we're moving around in that moment.
