We Just got MAJOR Update Info! Evrima Phase 3: Beipi, Cerato, Troodon & Galli! - The Isle 

It's been a long time since i jumped into these "update info" type videos for The Isle. A Shorter video with more content jam packed into it for your convenience :) I'm really excited to finally play the next update Soon™ so i made a video showing you the new stuff we were just shown in anticipation of it all with a few surprises. What new dinosaur excites you most for The Isle?

I’m glad that there is progress being made with this game, I love watching content on it but once you’ve been through a lot of videos, you’ve basically seen em all. With new dinos coming out, Ervima will be flourishing with horrific life. :)

The new playables will go a long way to refreshing the game but I'm most hopeful about the lighting changes coming eventually. At the moment the lighting really strains my eyes.

About the horse eating the chick. No animal is strictly a carnivore or herbivore. While plants make up almost all of an herbivore's diet and meat makes up almost all of a carnivore's diet, sometimes they will eat the opposite food for different reasons. Domestic dogs, for example, will eat grass because it has dietary benefits, while the horse eating the chick means that it needs nutrients it can't get from plants. Alligators have also been observed eating plants for the same reason as the horse. My favorite story, though, is one of a cow in Australia that was caught eating a snake, and not like a very small snake, but a species of python.

Only thing im looking forward to atm is fixing the god damn carno charge hitbox

I hope they add an option to keep the old growth system, some dino's from RP servers won't be playable unless folks get mods on the server if they don't...

If the troodon were to be any creepier, it would have very very shiny eyes and at night, it's whole body is not seen, except for its eyes staring at you.

I really hope that the isle fixes the FPS issues soon. Cera is my favorite dino in their roster, so I really wanna play it.

theres no meaning behind any of those clips. its to keep ppl eager. when you cant give them anything, give them something

I just wish they would give an eta. It feels like we wait more than a year between any updates, and the last few updates have been very meh. Especially when it’s just more diet stuff

phenomenal video and very informative. this update actually has me pretty hype and it encourages me to redownload it, once the update drops. my favorite part of the vid is when you showed of the 2D art, tbh. as a person who wants to start drawing creature with more detail, it really amazes me and shows me i can always do better. honestly, thank you so much for this awesome video, it really gave me new hope for the isle.

What excitedes me most for the update? To come out this year would be great and also having more then just some buffs and nerves in them. We still wait for the teased spino etc. And the trodon was allready announced over a year ago...

It’s been like a year or 2 since the last time I watched an Isle video and this game has changed dramatically

The amount of animations they put in one Dino is phenomenal. This is why I pick the isle over any other Dino games cause the dinos in the other games look straight up like a human wearing a sport mascot😂

ugh i am getting tried waiting for 6.5 like come on isle get your crap togetother and just put out the stress testing already and also i cant wait to kill baby dinos as a galli

It’s all really exciting. Definitely more excited for the cerato than anything but beipi sounded like just food for deinos before now it’s sounding like it could actually be good to travel around learn the map and just have fun on. Also gali being an omnivore is crazy! I mean I hardly ever see anyone nesting but if they do then gali could be a real threat to their young

Honestly, as an animator, I could see the mass upload of animations just being an innocent thing of "I animated these and they look cool but won't see the light of the day in the game" and 'boss' just gave a thumbs up to put them up online.

For those who watch the teno and troodon part. There are eyes in the trees and the bushes. Some are for sure troodons but im not to sure about those eyes glaring through the trees. Also I love the fact they are making Gali an omnivore, a decent chunk of birds you think are herbivores are in fact omnivores, and will gladly eat whatever they can. You can easily watch ostriches, emu, and cassowary eat small lizards small birds and other small plants and animals. It just makes sense for it to be an omnivore. I think ima end up being a troodon main once it releases (currently a utah and ptera main)

I'm mind blown they are adding more dinos to the update list. In a bad way. FINISH ONE AND RELEASE IT. 460+ DAYS.

Animals like horses and cows will eat meat if they are missing stuff like iron in their system, seen a cow eat a venomous snake and it didn't even die from it, in fact it kept doing that

Suggestion: give Deinos basically no food intake from a beipi. They’ll be less likely to prey on them. Modern crocs would much rather wait for a zebra than try to eat a toothpick of a bird swimming on the surface

I love that they gave galli some special abilities and incentive to group. As frustrating as the long wait is, I think it'll be worth it.

I am so excited for the troodon to come out

I really hope they fix the lighting, water, utah, pachy and carno. It's just so broken right now it it's very stressful. The water just looks like flat coca cola The lighting is so straining to the eyes and eye bleeding. Tbh I liked the very old lighting especially at night it was beautiful back then 🤩 The utah seems like it slightly moves like a buss now and is slightly broken. Pounce is sucking cuss once you get bucked it takes out like 70% of your dam stam 😭 Carno has broken ass hit boxes to the extreme and has overpowered ram now Pachy.... Well same thing hit boxes are slightly screwed and is kinda op now. Don't forget about the camera mechanic when eating... It gets stuck in one place making it more dangerous to actually eat your kill so you must take small bits to actually be 50% more safe Please devs ik their working hard rn but they must fix these soon. The game is having an entire eco crash rn because people are starting to play with carno and deinos overpopulating the map because of the debuffs and major buffs for certain dinosaurs... 😔

I am very excited for the Cera. I really want to see how it will size up against a carno or even a stego. That charge bite will almost certainly to a stego on its head would do some serious damage and bonus venom poisoning. I'm not saying cera will balance the current playables necessarily but stego might be the best meal to keep a cera going food wise :)

Is gateway official isle content or modded?

As for the shorts, could be someone is building up their demo reel for a move to another project in the industry. Would track with why there's older stuff there, too

1:28 My opinion, but from what the devs said the cerato is gonna weigh, this does not look like 500kg. That utah is 450 and looks considerably less chonky and massive. I'd argue that cerator should weigh more like 700kg. (for the americans - 1100 lbs, 990, 1540) Now that may sound like a small difference, but it's not, since currently in the isle, weight basically equals strength, so a 700kg cerato would basically be 1.4 times stronger than the one they want to implement. I may be nitpicking here, but oh well.

I think that much like zebras today, most hadrosaurs in general, not must Maia and Teno, would be VERY aggressive from the generational trauma of being hunted by pretty much anything

By the time The Isle's ready, Star Citizen's gonna have an actual release.

So many herbivorous animals actually will scavenge when available. Like deer, eating squirrel corpses.

looking forwards to troodon, also I would like to see dibbles on evirma, not anywhere near as heavy hitter as the stegos so something like a crocodile would still kill a dibble but something like say, a carno? its horns are ready.

I fell like once the troodon gets added its going to be hard playing anything else especially at night. It would like the nightmare troodons from that jurassic park game.

7:05 You would be surprised how many herbivores actually eating meat. Another one you might be surprised at is a cow eating snakes. 🤷 It's just a thing. Giraffes will eat small rodents and other things of that nature as well.

So about the herbivores eating smaller herbivores/omnivores thing apparently from what I know is that animals usually do that if they are lacking in nutrients and stuff. I have literally seen a video of Hippos stealing a Zebra carcass from Crocodiles- so yeah. Some herbivores aren't as harmless as people think

Pretty happy with the deino update if that comes to fruition. I played a bit last week for the first time since Evrima released. It's almost as nice to play as Legacy, but I got super bored hiding on land as a Deino since I couldn't hide in the water from cannibals.

all I want is the game to be optimised and playable with good graphics and/or at least 30 fps for people without very powerful PC xD

im excited only then, if they manage to make this game work more than 40 % and fix a LOT of bugs. always present us with many flashy ideas, concept art and graphics but seeing how broken everything is i have not much hope left. once loved the game and still love the concept but the lack of updates with new content and no fixes for all the existing chaos im out of enthusiasm. and early access is no longer an excuse anymore. early access doesn't justify after 8 years of being a dev studio to not manage to make stable servers where u either cant join, sit in a broken queue system which they seem to not be able to get to work, or crashing a hundert times a day. that should not be a thing anymore for a very long time.

I think the ceratosaurus will struggle... Its only 500 kg so it will get knocked down by carnos rams

It's kind of disappointing that the cerato is a lot stronger now, it's previous decent maneuverability, bite, and heavy bleed made it a fun glass cannon that was rather niche.

I honostly thought the Ceratosaurus would be bigger. Something to rival the Carno in size, i suppose the devs want more character with their additions other than sheer size. Eitherway, i just hope this update will balance out the stegosaurus, if it aint gonna have a predator, i hope they at least make it a more feasible kill for something like a carno.

i take it you don’t know that WILD elephants mined out a mountain either? we found a cave that a herd of elephants has and continues to mine out for salt and other minerals using their tusk. but yeah, we class animals based on notable food preferences not that it’s the only thing they eat. cows will eat chicks too

I wish they would replace the deino with the sucho. I believe deino is just annoying and not good for the game. As I think the sucho would fill the same role and not be as annoying as the deino but also more fun to play.

They believe a lot of the herbivores would eat small dinosaur and invertebrates for the calcium needed to rapidly grow to adults especially any of the horned dinosaurs and sauropods.

my pc isnt great but it can hold gtav medium graphics at 186 fps but the isle at its lowest to where it is not playable only get 20 they really need to fix that

This is all good, but we need to keep pressuring them to add more dinos especially ones most people want too see back like the trike, allo, and rex among others

I love the look of that new trailer they dropped yesterday, their new Dino models look great! The future of paleontology and Dino games is going to be great!

i love the isle i literlay used to play it all day its my fav game ever than i got off for amonth to take a break and came back and at its lowest only had 20 fps its sad i havent been able to play for a year and im wishing they fix it soon

Its awesome theyre giving server admins the ability limit dinosaur species. Can't wait to see servers that dont allow using apexes, or maybe only allow species of the same era so that there is more balance in the server
