We just hit our limit with RV living and are in a pickle. We feel like pickles and RV life go together all too naturally.. When you find yourself in a similar situation, see where the cards land after watching this video.
Today, we start our journey to RV Florida AGAIN. We want out, but first, we have some loose ends to tie up.

Yep. Connect the black tank flush, set the timer (5 minutes in our rig) and re-open the drain valve. Works great to remove residuals. Just be sure to use separate hose specifically for tank flushing. Also agree with the extension ideas. We carry the 50 amp extension, sewer hose extension, and spare water hose-and, yes, they’ve all come in handy. We refer to them as our “trip savers.”

Ok....just found your channel and I am hooked! You folks are a much needed light in this world, so thank you for your efforts in spreading joy and fun -- and great content! Our best RV purchase (maybe?) is a Berkey. Not cheap, AND totally worth every penny. We were told by RV friends we didn't need it, but we never have to worry finding good water, since the water sources we all encounter on the road are sketchy sometimes. In fact, the first 5 trips out, we were met with "boil your water" signs due to water system issues at our campgrounds. We never have to bring water bottles on the road. We pack a small Yeti full of 2x10# bags of ice only (that lasts forever) and the Berkey, and we are set. Try a Berkey.....they rock! We have a small 25' motorhome, and the Berkey lives easily on our kitchen counter, and "rides" in the sink, and the small Yeti acts as extra seating. Keep up the great work. You guys are fun!

#leterrip We haven't run into too little electric, but we have run into too short on the sewer hose. We recently moved to two 5-foot connectors coming off the tanks down to the Y connection and then packed our 10 footers in the bumper. This takes up less space in our black tank tote with about the same reach and then we have three 10 foot hoses in the bumper so we can always #leterrip

Traveling with my cats is not bad. One hides under the blankets on the bed, one likes to sit on my desk and watch out the window, while the other sleeps in the co-pilots seat when not walking along the dash board and falling asleep there. Now Brutus (my pitty) likes to sit on the coach behind the drivers seat and rest his head on the seat and makes sure I am driving safely and not breaking any speeding violations.

We went to the show on the first day. The traffic to get into the parking lot was CRAZY! How stupid to have the entrance blocked off if you are taking a left turn into the lot. Oh well.... Our cat hates travel day. Cries for hours! We have to put him in a plastic tub because he will pee a gallon within 15 mins on the road. It doesn't matter if he went before we left, he always does it. I keep extra towels that get thrown away after he lets us know how he feels about traveling.

We are also kind to our neighbors when dumping the black tank. If they are in their "yard" grilling, chilling, etc I will hold off dumping out of respect. Our "let'er Rip" routine is the same as yours. Pull the handle, drain tank, push in handle, turn on tank flush, wait 4 mins to rinse and fill, then dump again. We picked up a power cord extension for the times when we are lot docking. We can keep our 100lbs generator in the bed of the truck and power up the trailer. Allows us to stay hitched up and keeps us with a small footprint at rest stops or parking lots on travel days.

Replace the water filters that you can buy at lowest or any hardware store. The filters you showed is for if you was getting water at a nuclear site. O and if you really want to save through the filters out and buy a separate pump and put in cabinet under the sink with the big jugs of water and plum water into the back of the icebox. Mine come from factory that way and have clean water for drinking and ice.

#Thankshanks: I was wondering, if you have ever consider using a little catnip for Dexter when his anxiety is high and he is meowing all the time, just a thought. Unfortunately, even if you double bag frozen items like garlic bread and soak them in water to defrost them, they still tend to end up soggy. A cheap solution would be to purchase an insulated lunch bag from a dollar store and put the bagged frozen garlic bread pieces in it and put them in the refrigerator before you leave for your next campsite or in the morning to thaw.-Happy trails

If you camp enough, you'll find a site that won't work for your rig to hookup something. You need the extra water hose, electrical cord, and definitely sewer. I have shorter length extensions for each, which often times is what I use to have less to clean when packing up. For example, water hoses in 25' and 15'. This way, you have options of 15, 25, and 40. It's nice to have a short sewer hose setup for dump stations. It's only light plastic that isn't adding much weight.

If you get a water cooler that takes 5 gallon jugs, you can refill those at many grocery stores for about $2. So if we do the math that's 120 5 gallon jugs of water for your $240 a year. So 10 of them a month, or 50 gallons per month. Would you go through 50 gallons in a month for drinking and cooking? It might be a toss-up so maybe those filters aren't that bad of a deal when you consider you aren't refilling that jug at a supermarket every three days or so.

You made this video sometimes back as the cold weather was weeks ago we got warm weather this week 60’s and back to the 40 high in to days. Ga weather is very up and down. You had to have past at least two Bucee’s before the FL line so you had lunch backup. Glad you made the video on the Ellijay campground did not know it was there. We sold our RV in May but called and they have folks who have rentals there. Before we had to camp at RedTop Mountain which you probably could not get your rig in and drive an hour to Ellijay. Had an ex Rv moment today. Bought a 30to15 amp adapter 12/3 since my outlet was in the front of my garage where I could run a 15 amp heater in the garage and not have to worry about load. Love the videos well had trouble following the outages but they were still good.

I like how you have the slide out stick to measure to make sure you have enough room to open your slideout. Great idea. You might want to be careful though. When you measured the distance between that pole and your rv you were measuring at about waist level and just had enough room. If that pole had a little lean to it you might not have enough space at the top of your slide.

Extension cords are invaluable and you to to carry them even if you don’t use very often. (Like spare tires! ). I've had a case where the electrical pedestal was being shared with neighbors about 2 spots away. Huh? Really! I had to use both 50 amp cords and my 30 amp cord to reach. That's when you're glad you also have soft starts on both A/C's! Moral of the story: Be prepared!

Can you extend filter life by say bypassing the filters for water tasks not involving dishes or cooking? Maybe showers get a simple filter.

Answer to your questions... 95% of the time I super flush my black tank. empty then keep the fresh water spraying the interior for about 5 minutes. Then close it for about 3 minutes and empty 2x. If there is a line up at the station then abbreviate this but do my best to flush it until the water is clear. Keeps the stink away. And yes I carry an extra extension cord and slinky hose. Only used each ~ 3x in 7 years; but I would have been S O L without them.
