We complete the "refresh" of our DB8 1995 Acura Integra GS-R sedan by installing a fresh set of coilovers, control arms, and brakes, plus we tidy up a few exterior details before giving it a thorough spraying with Fluid Film to prevent the already widespread rust from getting any worse.

Turbo K? why not stay classic with a turbo LS/VTEC... you already have the best cylinder head w/the GS-R... just needs the bottom end of either B18A1/B1 or B20Z...

Rust protection on top of the rust??😂😂 You should know that that rust is still there even if you cant see it anymore and what that does it will rust even more because it cannot breath frealy anymore..

They put makeup on a pig, thats all. Fluid Film will also wash off eventually if daily driven when its wet outside, its best use is for cavities e.g. inside frames.

I agree the right choice of wheel was used on this. Not a fan of not using vintage-ish wheels on older vehicles unless you go and do other work to modernize the vehicle to match. Would have been a little better if 3 of the 4 wheel center caps were Acura logoed and the 4th be Honda to mimic a cash-strapped person finding whatever parts they can. Can honestly say I've not seen a Robertson screw in anything made in the past 60 years here in the States.. Phillips is king in the States.

Utter crap guys. You don't 'fluid film' brake disk mounting faces that are rusty. You clean them up until rust free, then spread a THIN smear of copper anti seize grease on them. Fit the discs and check for runout using a dti.

Watching the Honda stuff you do inspired me to restomod engine swap my Fiat 128 with a Honda Fit engine transaxle. I know it's not a powerhouse but it's 600 lbs/ 272kg lighter than the FIt. Slow car driven fast!

Them B’s could take a beating! Believe me I used to drive my GS-R everyday hard opening VTEC and the engine would still idle smooth! really fun car to drive the best thing about this it’s a GS-R SEDAN which imo is more rare just like a RHD DB8R. Turbo K is the way! hope to see more mods soon

I have a GS-R sedan as well (a '94 in Isle Green Pearl) that I bought from its original owner with a huge stack of records about four years ago. It has 220k miles but runs great and is the best daily driver I have ever owned.

Robertson screws are in the US, yes. Not very common at all. Where I am from, in Oklahoma, we don't have/get corrosion on cars. It's generally low humidity. I have Robertson screws on my aftermarket mudguards for my 2015 Golf. I strongly dislike them.

Square drive is fairly common for exterior wood and deck screws, and also millwork and cabinet screws, here in the US. They can take more torque than the common Torx drive, with less chance of the driver bit tearing up.

When separating the ball joint you can jack up the control arm, insert the back of the ratchet between the ball/arm and let the arm back down. They almost always separated with no hammer.

Turbo this engine. You'll still be able to get 260 to 280whp for a lot less money. Plus this engine sounds 100x better than any K series ever will.

Get a clapped out B15 Sentra and do a sleeper build off/challenge. Those cars are also underrated, but had the option of an SR20DE and a QR25DE engine. Heavily underrated cars with not much aftermarket support but can be very quick with the right mods.

I bought one from my neighbor back in 2013 for $600 to go to highschool. At 200k miles I completely restored it and sold it back in 2015 for 3k. The biggest mistake I've ever made and it was the same color as this one !

That Robertson was rotten because it was a cheap wood screw not intended for the elements, not because Robertson is inherently bad. I'll put Robertson up against any of the plethora of Torx and Allen & 12pt heads for not camming out, and there's only really 3 sizes of driver you need on hand. Provided, of course, the hardware is actually made for exposure to water and salt and so on.

Wow would you Kswap this car just like everyone else is doing ??? Why not just build the GSR it has & keep the platform proper ??? There’s so many Kswaps out there that it’s not even attractive anymore . You could look at a car now a days & give his engine a full parts list break down . Everyone is just copy & paste now days & don’t want to actually put the time & effort to build a car the right way …..

You guys should look up the history of the Robinson screw head, great story here on RU-vid, it almost became OEM for I think Ford back 100 years ago…so ya, automotive was almost one of the main uses!
