Never feel guilty for working in your marriage and relationship. Children grow up and have life of their own. And if you dont have a relationship, well it makes marriage very hard. I wish someone had taught me that and encouraged me and my husband to have that at a younger age. Yall are great!!! And have a beautiful and blessed relationship and family.

You guys are too cute! My husband and I never even got to take a honeymoon and now that we have 5 kids it doesn't seem possible to ever get away alone but it looks like so much fun. Oh well, maybe one day.

Two weeks before quarantine my husband and I took a cruise to the Bahamas without our 2 year old and 6 month old. We were gone 12 days. We got a lot of hate from some friends and family but it had been 3 years since we had been anywhere alone together. It was the best thing we could of done!!! We missed our babies but I loved alone time with my husband. ♥️

We decided to split them up to make it easier on the babysitters. Three little kids for four nights is a little much for most people. They also had children their ages to play with at the houses they stayed.

Y'all are really sweet and a vacation is a great thing not just for your relationship but your own mental health. I have 4 kids and no family around so I'm happy you all have family there!!! The Bates girls are blessed!! My husband is working on his HVAC license. Is John a journeyman? 😀

I became a widow when my children were young so I never got a chance to do those type of trips but you guys was so much fun to watch that I felt like I had a little break and vacation too! .. I left my babies for the first time in 3 years, and it was for a night. It was bliss and I didn’t realize how badly I needed that, until I got it! Happy anniversary! And thank god we live in Florida. We need our freedom before hurricanes hit 😂

Never feel guilty for spending time with your spouse. As you said, you need that time together. Especially now since you have been quarantined for a long time all together. So this is a good time to have alone time. Great for your kids too.

Good for the two of you. This is important and maybe more important for your children. They need to see happy parents doing happy things with each other that are for adults. They need to experience time with others and how other people/families have rules etc. It will help them grow in a healthy way. Have fun and stay safe.

I wish we had started a tradition of doing this right at the beginning of our marriage. I have not had any get-aways from the kids, except for having another baby in the hospital :D Now we will probably have our 10ths anniversary with our 6th child 1-2 weeks old.

That was me, too. I had only left my kids to have their siblings until 2018 when we took an anniversary trip. My mom came to stay with the kids, and I had #4 2 months later. I told my husband I’m going to take a trip by myself when my youngest is weaned. (And we get out of Covid craziness.)
