Today we let JoJo do our weekly food shop at Sainsburys. We did not give him a budget today, the challenge was to just see if he could get all of the groceries we needed for the week. JoJo does want do a £30 budget challenge in the future.

Hiya, hope your all well and having a lovely day on this frosty but warm Sunday. Jojo is genuinely growing up to be a fabulous young man. Well mannered, kind, knowledgeable and loving. I have a lot more to say about him but the comment will go on forever ❤ he's lovely thanks to you and Bob 🎉 He did amazing in this food shop and bought some amazing products. I saw somw Oat milk for 89p in home bargains. It was a different brand though. I did start watching this video yesterday but then got busy with my very active toddler. He's been asleep for 1 hour so finishing it off now. Hope you recreated some amazing dinners and maybe filmed it too 😊

Great video, well done Jojo. I think jojo did a good job. He spent alot but I don't blame him if he had no budget. However I believe jojo has learnt alot so could do really well on a £30 budget.

Definitely think JoJo could do a more restricted grocery shop as he knows how to look for a good price usually when needed, and knows about needing to get staples etc too. Perhaps could have added some rice/pasta/other staples to complete certain dinner meals but I get that he was enjoying being a bit freer and having the flexibility of an unlimited budget to allow for some extra treats. I'd like to see him do the shop but then also work out the meals for the week with what he buys, sort of come up with a meal plan for the week too to ensure everyone's meals are covered, that would be a good addition to the challenge! 🤗🛒

We needed Katie’s reaction 😂! But honestly I think Jojo did pretty well there’s definitely some great buys in there and I like how he always thinks of getting Katie a little something if she’s not there ❤️ And it’s never too early for Christmas snacks I just bought two Nomo selection boxes 😂! And I won’t tell you how many Nomo reindeer I’ve had 😮🤫

I had no doubt whatsoever that Jojo would crush this challenge. Well done. He is so mature for his age. These challenges are actually great life lessons for kids to learn how to do these things so when their older and on their own it's won't be so challenging..see what I did there 🤣🤣

We agree Karen, it's really good for JoJo to learn about budgeting. We had know idea what to do with our money when we became adults 🤣 It will be interesting to see if JoJo can do the same challenge but with a small budget 🛒😊

Wow that’s a lot of money but taking into consideration it’s organic and vegan items (around $200aud) I think here in Oz they same would be a bit more. As for doing it for £30 I’d love to see that

Jojo did well though the Pot Noodles were too many by 3, so too the easy peelers too many by 2. I love that he purchased many organic items too - way to go Jojo. And, of course the frozen fruit and the other healthy items. I think he did very well indeed. Most kids his age would have packed the trolly with rubbish items. £30 challenge will be a tough one he will just need to remember what you already have at home - if he does then he will do well😊

Excellent. He did fantastic. He showed us how and why. He likes quality,he likes good and he likes what he knows is nice and I think he would choose things this way,so there’s no faults he didn’t go crazy.ninety quid is really good too. Another supermarket challenge video, love that it was JoJo’s turn by himself today (with some help with Bob). JoJo does really well with these challenges, he really thinks about what he gets and mostly sensible with his choices lots of variety, loads of veggies and lots of organi, oh and of course the important snacks😅…. Yes Sainsbury's is quite a bit more expensive than some of the cheaper supermarkets like Lidl and Aldi. Luckily we did have a nectar card for the deals 🤗

@@FamilyFreedom yes, they still are. I walked around looking at their prices. They do have a budget range but I think that is over priced also. I am an old fashioned cook so everything I cook from scratch, so much cheaper, especially cooking large to freeze also. 👍👍👍👍

Mince pies are illegal to eat on Christmas Day. Therefore it's not a Christmas item. Meaning you definitely can buy it now. Also, I love the fact that you had the same photos me when he said he wasn't going to go nuts on the cereal aisle, it had to be done!!

Hi, what about doing a ''Cruelty-free'' challenge? I don't know if you are vegan for the animals sake and therefore don't buy things tested on animals? What about setting a challenge to buy cosmetics, toiletries and household products that are vegan, environmentally-friendly and cruelty-free,🐮🐷🐄🐏🐀🐭🐶🦃🐾 in U.K supermarkets? That would be awesome and make people think about protecting animals and the environment.

Hi, sorry for late reply we are just catching up on comments that we accidentally missed 🙈 Firstly we just wanted to say thank you so much for caring about the animals, we really appreciate it 💚 We try to use the least amount of chemical household products as possible and we only but vegan and cruelty free. It's a great idea and might be good to include in a future video 🐮🐷🐄🐏🐀🐭🐶🦃🐾

Hi Anna, JoJo is so happy to know that easy peelers remind you of him, I've never met another person with a bigger obsession with a fruit 😂 He gets the confidence from Bob. Bob also doesn't care what people think. For example many years ago when I first stared dating Bob, we were in a restaurant and he jumped on a chair and shouted "I LOVE HER" 😂😂😂

I think Jojo could do the budget challenge. Obviously with a budget he would be making some different choices when it comes to food and there would be a lot less snacks. I think he would also do better in the budget challenge if he was in a store like Aldi or somewhere more budget friendly. The one thing I did notice with this is that he did not buy any rice or oats or pasta, which may have been because those were already in the cupboards at home, but those I feel tend to be a staple to most grocery trips in most households. I know my grocery trips probably differ quite a bit from yours seeing as I’m in a different country and I have a two-year-old so that changes some of your necessities, but I usually always have some sort of pasta, rice and oats at all times.

We are very interested to see hoe JoJo will do with a £30 budget food shop. We agree that somewhere like Aldi would be better for that sort of challenge. It's funny that you mentioned oats as I noticed that JoJo forgot to buy them even though porridge is one of his favourite meals 😂
