Challenge Idea : You both randomly catch anywhere from 6-10 Pokemon then put them all in a pool after and take turns drafting from them until you each have your teams made.
Chillins choices were 6 Legends 11 Fully evolved 2 Mid stage 8 Baby’s Quicks choices were 0 Legends 12. Fully evolved 3 Midstage 12 Baby’s The difference in choices between these two’s choices is a difference maker. Not just this video but most every video. Keep it up Quick dealing with these weak ass mons Chillin keeps throwing at you!
For someone that plays Pokemon as much as they do he makes so many really bad choices imo. Why risk it? heal up, then charge. He already knew the thunder won't kill and metal claw does hardly anything, charging up to tank and waste probably thunder pp would have been huge if he used all of them. So many times he'll sack a pokemon, or use a move that is really useless for no reason. Another case was the Hawlucha vs the Heracross. Couldn't he have used heal bell to cure the paralysis and get at least another hit off possibly freezing him. Now in his defense he wouldn't have known about the roost, but still it's better than just throwing away a turn where you're going to be slower and lose the turn anyways due to the paralysis.
Quick couldn’t attack because his only attack (Volt Switch) would have switched Combusken in which would have probably been killed unless it was on a predicted Metal Claw. Quick was trying to kill Dedenne to get a safe switch for Combusken and possibly stall Thunder pp
Not gunna lie I was tempted to not finish watching the video after seeing how uneven the teams were but decided to stick it out and watch anyways and definitely was not disappointed. that was much closer than I anticipated! 😅
38:20 So I was curious if that Combusken V-create crit actually mattered, and it looks like the max damage Quick could’ve done there would be 97, or about 62.5% of Zama’s health. From the health bar, this means it was likely that a non-crit would be a roll to kill, so probably somewhere around 1/8-1/16. So while it may not have mattered for the battle overall, that was super clutch to bring it down to the last mons
You quickgg and chillnplay have excellent continuity. Such cool roommates I feel like all of us have met bros like you two. Super cool fellas and so wholesome. Nobody says a swear lolol A+ ❤👍🏾😎✌🏾
You should do one where you each have a couple "curses" you can apply to the other person's pokemon before the battle. Like no stab moves, only physical attacks, only special attacks, de-evolve one rank, etc.
Adding onto that to make it a bit more fleshed out but I think they might go for that! -10 random encounters (either surprise encounters in SWSH or blindfold in ScarVio) -After each catch, you spin a Wheel of Curses to determine a curse as you specified that impacts the Pokémon they just caught. -10 random encounters, 4 skips that can be decided either before or after the wheel spin. This could be a really fun challenge!
Hidden Star ⭐️ Catch 6 Random Pokémon. 5 of them are the classic random moves and ability. 1 of your choosing; gets to be the Hidden Star ⭐️. Pick the move set, the ability, even an item to hold. An added layer of fun/strategy could be that before you pick your Hidden Star ⭐️ you guys look at your opponents 6 randoms and have to try and guess what they would make their star. Would be some good mind games and counter play. Hope your consider this 👍
31:12 I remember training a Magnezone a long time ago. I was training my Magnezone's Zap Cannon against Gyarados specifically. He got really good at hitting Gyarados.
37:30 Remember Ladies and Gentlemen, It is not about the strength of the Pokemon, it is about the ability of the trainer. Also known as, a Dedenne is making a Zamazenta run away and it is funny.
Wow no one thought that the battle would be so close considering the teams they had. Quick GG should've tried using soft boiled again to stall. And thunder hitting every time. Don't see that very often
Could potentially try this, if it hasn’t yet been done: You simply tell the other person the first letter of the name for each Pokémon. Then based on what you can remember with that info, you make your choice. Ex - the 3 Kanto starters. V - venasaur, C - charizard, B - blastoise.
23:36 The matchup reminds me a lot of what I do in Pokemon games, I have a pack of 6 pokemon and we go up against a wild pokemon that is leagues stronger than us and we work together to beat it. Except it is against 6 of them instead of the 1 I am used to. Oh well, at least you have more variations and options than I usually have at the low levels I tend to be.
Challenge idea 1: Say 3 truths ( randomized starter pokemon) but the other one of u have to say if u want middle, right, left (ofc without knowing what position they are on) Challenge idea 2: Randomized starter. Tell the other what pokemon is the second best based on the stats of the 3. Then they can choose if they want it or take a change by saying left or right to get the best / worst one. Challenge idea 3: Spin a wheel of gym leaders. Use their team, and fill out the team with your own choises of pokemons. Ofc of the same type as the gym leader Not sure if you have done any of these already
I kind of like it when one or the other has a vastly better team. Sometimes it does come down to rng and that's ok. A strong fighter makes his own luck
One of these vids big dawgz do your main pokemon starts at lvl 100 has only the move splash so you start with splash then ball (but the balls you use are worst) so go splash ball splash ball until you catch or faint. When your starter faints you lose your last caught pokemon but go up to the next ball so ie. (Heavy->pokeball->nest ball-> great ball->quick ball-> ultra-> timer-> master or however u wanna do it!)
Can we just talk about the fact that Quick had the worst rng ever? :D too many pure baby pokemon while Chilln got pretty pretty good choices doesnt matter what he choose xD
Idea: 3 starters - 2 truths and 1 lie; but the twist is that if you chose the lie, you refresh to 3 new pokemon. This way you can remove 1 strong pokemon and force a reshuffle or you can block a weak pokemon to avoid attention from 2 decent ones. You can adopt it to a 2 truths 1 lie - block or force it; so that if your homie chose the blocked/lie pokemon you can chose to refresh or give it to him.
Random starter challenge idea. Each time it's your choice to make you can ask the person seeing the options 3 questions about your options/choices (but no names) think "guess who" style. And then make a choice. Skips allowed.
I've watched these two since the beginning of the VS challenges series, and I've seen every episode. Idk how they set up their random files, but I've been suspicious for a while that Chillin' rerolls so that the quality of Quick's options is lower. I remember one challenge like this in which, across 27 pokemon, Quick only had about 2-3 options that were fully evolved. Quick's luck is so bad in this format in particular that it's starting to become questionable as to whether it's really "luck". Maybe I'm way off base though. Either way, I still love the content lol
